i was very HAPPY w/the generous kind treatment & was a huge advocate...then... a new doctor arrived & it was all about "the benjamins"? my son was 17 when i took him just the ONCE for his oral surgery for his wisdom teeth. 5yrs later at age22 living on his own, owns his own business& i suggest he go to Star Dental as an adult. he agreed. I mentioned i referred my son for the $50 dollar referral credit & they laughed at me & said "he is already a patient" i said that was 5yrs ago as my MINOR child so that is reall "me" He is His OWN man & he can come here all by himself & sign up & pay. they still refused. i say "A CROOK IN SMALL WAYS = A CROOK IN BIGGER WAYS" & am getting a SECOND OPINION on a "GOOD CROWN" they want to REPLACE? i don't think so? people become DOCTORS for 2 REASONS - a calling or $$$ this began w/a doctor of "calling" & sold? out 2 a doctor of $$$ go somewhere else! read more

Star Dental Thank you!! I'm not one that writes reviews but I have to in this case. Last Saturday I was at work and bit into a bagel around 9:30 am. I bit down on what seemed like a pebble and cracked my upper molar in two! I immediatelty called Star Dental and asked if I could get in if possible. On such a short notice they squeezed me in at 12pm that day. I was able to get xrays, consultation, and temporary crown and was out by 1:40 pm. I cannot thank Dr. Ho and his staff enough! They did not honor a quote that was provided for dental work. I'm very dissatisfied and will be finding a new dentist. I would recommend Dr. Nguyen over Dr. Ho, as he is much more relaxed and puts you at ease when completing his work. Dr. Ho also doesn't seem to understand medical issues other than dentistry. No thank you Star Dental. Find another dentist like Dr. Nguyen and honor your written agreements! Management said they could not honor quote even though it was provided by their staff on paper TWICE. I don't recommend going to Star Dental. They have gone through several dentist changes in the past few years. We stuck with them because they were close and convenient, and we never had a problem. However, they just changed dentists again. They did not send any communication. The past change I received a letter from the practice, text messages, phone calls etc. I showed up for my appointment. I was apprehensive as I noticed a new dentist's name on the door. They said I didn't have an appointment. Then they further looked, and said that since they changed dentists, they no longer took my insurance and they cancelled my appointment. I had taken off work to go to this appointment. I asked why no one informed me that my appointment was cancelled and they gave a flippant "I'm sorry." This place helped me out in a bind. They have good service, worked with me on payments, and got me in and out on my time schedule! Very nice and cooperative. Taking my kids here! Only downside is they are a little more expensive then everywhere else and don't negotiate, but because they worked with me it was well worth the extra hundred. read more

She is a great person but lacks the skill of a true dentist. Had to go back to get multiple times to get the same issue fixed. She needs to slow down when she is working. Office manager is rude and talks about other co workers to other employees loudly while patients are waiting. Waste of time and money. read more

Family has used them since they were Little Road dental. Waited a month for appt for my 13 yr old daughters braces. Called ahead 2 weeks prior to confirm appt, ladies at front desk left me on hold over 10 minutes and could not answer my questions. Showed up for our appt today, front desk said our 1k insurance doesn't really apply to my balanceuntil they get the check although it was already preauthorized, they refused to give receipt for the 1k downpayment I wanted to make with my credit card. Front desk lady thought this was funny and insisted after a 1k downpayment and 1k of insurance payment that the $4500 dollar ortho balance would be $3500. How can 2k in payments equate to only a 1k difference? I decided to leave it as is and told them we would take care of my cash down payment on the next visit. We waited, and waited, I even asked the front desk lady if they were running behind. 30 minutes of waiting and the dentist brought me back to ask me if I was "organizing" my finances. I told him no, my finances are just fine and I informed him what happened. WIth no concern he said he was unable to do her braces today because it was too late and he would have to stay late. He was not concerned his staff could not do simple math or how rude they were when asked questions concerning the obviously generic contract they were asking me to sign showing 1k more than what would have been due. The regular dentist we see was not there today so maybe it's related to that. I wasted a vacation day and my daughter missed 2 school classes because of his lack of concern. We will now have to schedule additional time off elsewhere (most likely a blessing in disguise) This clinic just lost me, my husband and three children as patients today. Horrible communication, lack of concern, and very unorganized. Your front reception area is clueless. I will not be recommending Star Dental to anyone. read more

My family likes the dentist very much--she is sweet, personable, and thorough. Unfortunately, my low rating is due to the unprofessional and rude treatment I received from the office manager. After a routine cleaning and checkup, she told me I owed $70. I told her my insurance would cover it. She said she would check on it, but she did NOT. Instead, she sent a bill for $35. She refused to call the insurance company because she insisted that HER information was correct; I had to get THEM to call HER. I also requested a call from the dentist regarding some questions I have. The office manager insisted that SHE, herself, could help me with my questions. I told her, 3 TIMES, I wanted a call from the DENTIST. The office manager insisted on knowing what I wanted to talk to the doctor about. Either my request was never relayed to the dentist, or, the dentist does not make herself accessible to her patients, which I do not believe is the case. Either way, because of the doctor's incompetent, discourteous employee, I will be looking for another dental care provider after I file a complaint with the BBB. read more

I am pretty sure the other reviews posted are from the people that work in the dental office. I have been going to this dentist office for five years.The last time I visited this dentist I had my crown replaced, while i was in the Dentist seat he was talking to a technician about how poorly constructed my crown was and he was having trouble putting it on, at the time he telling his technician how to save time and get me in and out of the office without wasting time and money. That was a big red flag, I guess he just thought I wasn't listening. I ended up going to another dentist after that fiasco. Two years later I am having issues with this poorly constructed and installed crown. he doesn't want to warrant his poor craftsmanship, then I guess he thought I was and idiot and wanted me to come back and correct this problem and be charged the full amount of money. Not a smart business move.I do not recommend this dentist office. it's best to go somewhere else because other dental places have up to a 5 year warranty on their crowns and fillings, that actually care about the quality of their work, and acknowledge their mistakes. read more
