Dr Ryan is the primary Chiropractor I see at Lyn Lake Chiropractor.They have 5 different Doctors one can see.I've been going here since November of 2018 and all of the staff here are awesome!Great personalities and a willingness to help one feel better. Their process when they first get you in is to put you on the massage table and e-stim.They inquire about your trouble spots each time and then the wonderful massage therapists go to work on those areas. After one is loosened up,the Chiropractor comes in and does their adjustments.I like that they don't just crack your neck and back.They work the troubled areas.I was seeing a Physical Therapist for weeks and was not getting better.One visit at Lyn Lake and Dr Ryan and I am feeling like a boss! The worst experience I've ever had. The person who evaluated me did the exam then applied heat and stim. Then said I would have an adjustment after a massage. Had the massage, but then was just left there lying face down for a really long time, waiting and waiting. Finally I got sick of it and walked out. Just unbelievable. I left there in significantly more pain than what I went in with. Cannot recommend this establishment. When I called to complain the person apologized and said she left a voicemail. I received no voicemail. Horrible, horrible experience. Don't seek help at this business. read more

I called to set up an appointment and specifically asked about insurance. They said they accepted Medica, which is what I have, and it includes chiropractic care. What they did NOT ask was whether it's a medicare advantage plan, which it is. When I arrived, the receptionist returned my insurance card and said they couldn't accept it because it is a medicare advantage plan. That's fine. The problem is that they should have clarified that when I called, and it should be on their website. At first I was going to stay and submit my receipt for reimbursement, but I wasn't sure Medica would pay on that basis, so I got a refund and left. They need to train their staff to ask the right questions and also put this clarification on their website. A generous gesture, given their lack of detail, would have been one free appointment. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but this chiro is built differently! They have blown my mind away and exceeded all expectations. You walk in and are immediately greeted by friendly staff. They have a relaxed, easygoing type of environment. I've only been there 3 times and they already know my name! They always have current pop songs playing to add to the ambiance, the volume is just right too. When they did my initial exam, it was the most thorough I've ever experienced. I've been to a few different chiropractors and none have gone as above and beyond in making sure they find every single problem area. I discovered areas that I never knew were tight. They have several adjustment tables in one area, but if you prefer more privacy, they do have a private room available. Everyone is so sweet and seems to genuinely care about your well-being. This is the very first chiropractic place that didn't give me a set schedule, like when they say you need to come 3 times a week for this long, etc. This shows that they're not in it for the money and that it is truly not a cookie-cutter treatment plan. They take it visit by visit, and they do give recommendations on when to come back but it's based on how you're feeling and how well you adjusted. Also if you're still in pain after it all, they'll spend extra time to make sure you get some relief and give you resources to help continue that relief at home. The only downside is that my insurance doesn't cover it so I have to pay out of pocket, but it's worth every penny. Today when I came in, my neck was so out of whack that I could barely move it. At first, I wasn't able to even lie down on the table. I was in constant pain, but they were able to safely adjust me. They took their time and it felt like a miracle. The location and pricing were right for me since I did not have insurance, but I left a little put-off. I was first seen by a chiropractor who asked me some questions and adjusted me. Then I was massaged by someone else who I don't think understood the extent of my injuries; it felt good at first, but I was in a world of pain later that day. Ultimately I did not go back. He was so patient and had her laughing and giggling throughout the entire treatment! Better yet - she has now been sleeping through the night since her treatment!!! I have been coming to this chiropractor religiously for the last five or six years. I have referred a handful of people that now go here regularly, I even referred my own children who fell in love with the care that they have received as well. I have been coming 1:00 to 3 times a week for the last five or six years and I have moved all over the metro and I have taken the 45 minute drive regardless where I am to make sure that I continue to come to this clinic loyally. Dr Ryan has been the only one in 20 years to ever help me with my back neck spine pain, migraines and issues I've been having, I finally felt comfortable around somebody and it was nice going someplace that knew me and my family well. I came here today for an adjustment and was sent away and told that they no longer accept my insurance and I have been on the phone starting back at square one calling all different chiropractors trying to find one that does exactly what they do here which is impossible. I think it's really sad on their part. I have been very loyal and given a lot of referrals and have saying nothing but their praises for the last 6 years and I felt like I mattered and I was sent away today like I never did.Im really bummed and sad and hurt that they don't give me a heads up or any referrals that can offer what they offer or help me find anyone that cann help me. Disclaimer: I've never been to another chiropractor and this was my first time visiting at Lyn Lake...it was awesome! Besides being a bit confused about the 5 different faces I worked with (someone for assessment, for massage, for alignment, etc) I loved my experience. You're surrounded by people on beds next to you so it's not very private, but it is relaxing. I really appreciated that they took care to answer my questions and make sure that I was comfortable. The doctors were just as hospitable as the front desk staff. I am sadly moving out of state, so I won't go here again BUT I absolutely wish I had started going sooner. I almost didn't write a review for Lynlake Chiropractic, as I just assumed they would have a million positive reviews and mine would be redundant. Surprisingly, that wasn't the case, so I'm happy my review can balance out the previous negative review. If you've seen my profile, you can see that I have some back issues. I stopped going to the far-away Carlson Chiropractic after my lack of transportation required a more local solution. Lynlake has been a great local solution for me, first providing TENS therapy with heat, then 10 minutes of (amazing) massage and sometimes ultrasound, then chiropractic adjustments. My chiropractors, first Dr. Jill and now Dr. Kevin (Dr. Shreifels referenced in the previous review -- Jill is now in outstate MN), have both been extremely concerned about my well-being and progress. They go the extra mile, adjusting not only my back but also my elbows, wrists, and yes, even applying pressure-point therapy to my armpits, which is actually quite awesome. Then they use this activator to loosen up the muscles all along my clavicle. I always leave there feeling great. I have asked them for a thera-band and they've given me one free of charge. While they didn't give me an exercise program, they've informally suggested some and have always been happy to answer any questions. And really, I already have an exercise program, so for me it's not necessary. To sum up: if you have questions about exercises, just ask. I bet LynLake isn't an in-network provider insurance policies. They are out of network for me, but they have always let me pay only my in-network co-pay, despite the fact that my insurance company doesn't cover a lot of the cost of the visit. That I think is very cool of them. Ask them if they'll accept your insurance policy even if they're out of network; it seems like they'd be willing to work with you. read more

I have suffered from chronic tension headaches and migraines for many years and tried quite a few options to alleviate them. After about a year working from home doing fine detail work all day as an illustrator, the headaches were preventing me from being as productive as I would have liked, so after some research I decided to try out Lyn Lake Chiropractic. Wow, am I glad I did! During my first appointment I talked with Dr. Ryan about my problem areas and my history, and then received x-rays (to rule out injury), electrostim therapy from Michael, a massage, and finally was adjusted by Dr. Mitch. One of the best things about Lyn Lake is that they are really kind and understanding - in the past I've felt shamed by massage therapists for my tension, but with the folks at Lyn Lake they are always really in touch with the way the modern world works and just eager to help me feel better. Which I did - I was headache free for almost 4 weeks for the first time in a very long time. I went back today and saw Michael and Dr. Mitch again for treatment, since I was starting to feel very stiff again. Everyone at the office is just so kind and interacting with them is so comfortable. I received wonderful personalized treatment to my specific pain areas and both Michael and Dr. Mitch took their time in addressing the trigger points where my headaches originate from. I will definitely be returning here, I left the office feeling so much better already. One of the OTHER best things about Lyn Lake is that they also accept insurance, so my visit costs only a $15 copay, which is so much more affordable than many other treatment options I've explored. Another fabulous local uptown business! If you are in need of Chiropractic work, the Lyn Lake team will get you moving again! After a recent front-end car collision my lower back and neck were in some serious pain. I was able to schedule a same-day appointment with Lyn Lake and was greeted by a friendly staff when I arrived. Dr. Steve immediately took care of me through my first appointment, politely listening to all of my concerns and ensuring I was well taken care of through the entire process. X-rays, electric stimulation, massage, ultra sound and finally adjustments for my first visit. Over the course of the last week, Dr. Steve has been nothing but fabulous with continuing to adjust my problems areas. What I love about Lyn Lake Chiropractic is the upbeat attitude and "we are going to enjoy ourselves" vibe. Previous chiropractors I've visited are often drab and slow moving. Things work much differently here. Expect good tunes, a open-loft like environment and immediate care from everyone who works here. You move from table to table as you receive various treatments which spices things up. Staff is upbeat and cheerful. While the vibe might not be for everyone, it is a nice change from a typical "doctor's office" and you leave feeling positive, ready to challenge the day. While there is a fair amount of paperwork to fill out when you first arrive, make sure to enjoy the massage chairs while you wait -- it will get you in the mood for what's to come! Lyn Lake would not be the same without her smiling face every time you walk through the door! :D I have gone to Lyn Lake ever since I hurt my neck and shoulder with luggage. Ryan has an incredible knowledge of the human body - he was able to spot my pain points and worked on them over the next few visits. Best of all, he didn't try to sell me on coming back very often or buying packages. He focused more on giving me stretches to work on everyday and then coming back if those were not enough. I appreciated that and trusted him 10x more after he did not try to sell. Oh and you don't need an appointment - the way their clinic is set up, you can do walk ins, which is awesome as I often get unexpectedly busy at work. I grew up kind of against chiropractors as my mom thought they were "hacks" so I never went until my mid-20s when I started working out a lot and spending a LOT of time in my car as an outside sales rep. After trying a different chiropractic clinic that I wasn't too eager to return to, my yoga instructors recommended Lyn Lake Chiropractic. I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I did! When I went in for my initial exam, everyone seemed very laid back and although there was a lot of new client paperwork (which was to be expected), the check in process was pretty quick. I have been a patient there on and off for about 8 years. Yesterday, I went in after a long absence and was happy I did. Blake was my adjuster, he did my neck in such a way that it was remarkable. When I turned my head later, it really extended the range of motion. Sarah was the massage person, she was skillful and strong and cute. Making regular visits to a chiropractor makes as much sense to me as going to a dentist. But just as I don't trust any ol' one to poke metal objects into my mouth, I don't trust everyone to adjust my back. In the past, I've visited a self-described witch doctor in northern California who told me my kidneys had fallen and that I should eat more Jerusalem artichokes. I don't know why I went back to him; he kept trying to push those kidneys back into place (you should've seen how red my sides got) and it was no easy task finding Jerusalem artichokes -- no, not regular artichokes -- in rural, Northern California. Another guy I saw tapped my spine so lightly -- was he trying to communicate through Morse code? -- that he was done with my adjustment before I'd even realized he'd started. He drove away in his Porsche. A couple weeks later, I was looking for a Jerusalem artichoke. That said, I can now count Dr. Kevin at Lyn Lake Chiropractic among the chiropractors I trust. After leaving my last doctor (in Russia), I was reluctant to search out another, the former had worked so many wonders. But after a cross-country move, I could only stand up as well as a bag of loose parts. Dr. Kevin's adjustment took a day or two to settle in, but when it had, I felt like new again. I'm a fan of his friendly, unpretentious demeanor; love the layout of his space, even if I was too shy to enjoy some of his many toys (a massage chair in the waiting room -- a first); and can only praise his friendly and competent staff as well (I don't know who massaged my back prior to the adjustment, but you have the power of a tank, without any of its destructive powers -- good stuff; I surrender unconditionally). I've been a chiropractic patient off and on for 25-years. Over the years, I've seen a number of docs, some of which were pretty darn good. Today, however, I received the most comprehensive, effective treatment ever at Lyn Lake Chiropractic Northeast. I'm visiting Minnesota for the Christmas holiday and developed nagging pain in my neck and lower back. It's nothing serious, but something that happens when I go too long between visits with the chiropractor. When I walked into Lyn Lake today, I was greeted by a friendly staff, each member of which looked me in the eye, smiled, and welcomed me. Dr. Kristen listened to my complaint, assessed my condition, then went to work. She started with STIM treatment along with heat. One of my previous docs occasionally applied the same treatment, but in my experience, it's pretty unusual. To my surprise, Massage Therapist David followed up, breaking down the various trigger points in my back that were causing me a lot of misery. Dr. Kristen completed my treatment by adjusting my neck, spine, hips and pelvis. By the time my treatment was finished, I was feeling pretty privileged. I felt 100% better and thought I'd received special treatment. What I learned was a real surprise: the treatment I received today from Dr. Kristen and David, is routine. The treatment I received today is standard for every patient at every visit, and is given at a very reasonable rate. I've previously written only one Yelp review in my life. I just felt compelled to write today because the great treatment I received at Lyn Lake was way over the top. I wish the Lyn Lake docs were my regulars. read more

I started going to Lyn Lake for my messed up TMJ joint and these guys have been nothing but helpful. Everyone is friendly and perfectly comfortable with my incessant questions, and I rarely have to wait for more than a minute or two throughout my appointment. When it became apparent that my issue was structural rather than muscular, Dr Steve had no problems telling me that it was time I saw a specialist (and thus potentially never see my money again). Friendly receptionists, massage chairs while I waited, and extremely respectful chiropractors/massage therapists. They took me 15 minutes early just because I was there and they could.
