I began to have tense lower back and upper back pain but just thought I was not stretching enough or needed to work on my posture at work and school, but soon realized it was much worse than that. First I went to a Sports Medicine doctor that told me to work on my core an referred me to physical therapy. That worked for about a couple months and then the fatigue and cramps came back but things got progressively worse, my energy got low and I felt like I was not myself. After researching my symptoms it became obvious that I needed to see a Chiropractor. I started my treatment, but did not feel fulfilled at other clinics. After all my friends and family knew I had this issue that didn't seem to want to go away, they began looking for great recommendations for a good Chiro to send me, since people say "a good one is hard to come by." Well, my mother found the Minnesota Monthly 2014 Top Chiropractor list and I did the rest. Thank God for her ! After zooming into the Chiro's that were closest to my job and school, I found Doctor Josh Stephens's practice Health Source and it has been great ever since! He is truly a great Chiro who is invested in you getting better. The office is always neat and clean. His assistant Erica is kind and pleasant. Dr. Stephens and I worked together on a plan for my improvement and I am a testament of the plan working and life changing! (Seriously). To start off our plan he suggested Active care which required me to come in 3x a week for a month. Then we moved it down to 2x a week and now I go 1x a week for maintenance until I have the occasional flare up due to stress. The take away is, I feel so brand new every time I go and I am eternally grateful. It is conveniently located in LaSalle plaza near CRAVE on the skyway level and accessible during the lunch break, so check them out if you need a Chiro.

First you park in the parking lot and there's 3 reserved parking spots specifically for their patients. Then you enter through the back of the building that's not actually on the street side. I had walked all the way around but I wish this building had more signage on where things are as there are multiple businesses in the building. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the service and has helped a lot with my back pain and shoulder impingement due to the nature of my job of lifting patients all the time (occupational therapist). Otherwise, I'll be coming back here in the future.

For the past 5 years (almost 6) I have worked a '9-5' desk job hunched over a keyboard feverishly typing away the minutes of my life. This does not fair well for my neck and shoulders who are lucky enough to hold loads of tension and stress. I knew for a while I needed adjusting but was reluctant because of the time and money that could go into it. After going to Alex a few times I noticed a significant difference. I slept better, the tension had eased and the numbing waves of pain shooting through my arms and fingers were disappearing. Things just kept improving and to this day I feel great. The ability to sleep on my side without my arm going numb after 5 seconds is life changing. For real. Dr Lanning is fair with pricing and great at working with my insurance. Dr. Fuhrman is really personable and is, without question, the best chiropractor I've seen. I came…read moreto see him when I was in extreme pain last summer when my regular chiropractor was closed and received the best adjustment. I saw him a few times a week for a few weeks, and within a month, my pain was a lot more manageable. Now I see him about once a month. One thing that sets Dr. Fuhrman apart is that he really takes the time to give a decent adjustment. I think that's probably a function of the fact that he has low overhead because he doesn't have a receptionist, and he doesn't have to spend massive amounts of time dealing with insurance companies because he doesn't accept insurance--he just charges fair prices up front. By fair, I mean that the cost of an adjustment is equivalent to most insurance co-pays for a chiropractor. Plus, he just seems to care a little more than other practitioners I've seen. My job requires me to read and work at a computer for long hours, and I deal with a lot of neck pain, tension, and headaches. Other chiropractors I've seen in the past, even those who generally gave good adjustments, have had issues adjusting my neck. Basically, it seems like most chiropractors I've seen would try to keep my visits to five minutes or less regardless of how I was doing. Often, they would try and fail to make a quick adjustment to my neck. The end result of a failed neck adjustment was that my tension/soreness would get even worse than when I came in, and my headaches would get worse. Dr. Fuhrman actually takes the time to work on my neck before he attempts an adjustment, and as a result, he's always been able to give me a good neck adjustment. That has made all the difference for my headaches and neck pain. I'll keep going to Organic Chiropractic as long as it's around.
