I did the adult ED IOP for a few months, saw an therapist and dietitian, and even saw a medication management provider. I LOVED my therapist and dietitian. They were such great fits for me, which I was not expecting because I have been through so many providers historically that were not great fits. However, after one year, everything changed. My therapist was randomly dropped off the face of the earth, and out of nowhere I got a phone call saying "sorry your therapist doesn't work here anymore." Then, I was assigned another random therapist who just happen to have an opening. Shortly after, several other providers also dropped off the face of the earth at waters edge... and out of nowhere patients were all without providers. Patients who already have trust issues, were given no closure with the provider they had built trust with, when the owner of waters edge could have at least allowed providers to explain they would no longer be working for waters edge. That aside, I also was really frustrated with the financial department. I am so blessed with great health insurance. Therefore, I only had a $20.00 copayments each visit. I was pretty good about making my copayments at the time of service. However, there were a few weeks I would forget- sometimes even a couple weeks in a row. And, at one point, I had $40.00 outstanding (two copayments), and Kristy called me several times to threaten "placing my account on hold, which meant cancelling my current standing appointments and not allowing me to be seen, until the balance was paid in full." It was $40.00!!!!! TWO VISITS! I simply forgot... and, I explained this to Kristy. Therefore, I was so frustrated that she would call me more than once, and over such a small amount of money. I feel guilty posting negative things, because as I explained- when I was seeing my original providers, everything was great! I sung praises about waters edge and was more than willing to make the commute to Burnsville. However, things dramatically changed over the last few months I was a client there.

I did about 5 or 6 months of their GLP1 which is a NOT the prescription you get from the Dr but a compound from a pharmacy. I had zero side effects but also it had zero effects. It was cheap at first but went up every month as they increased my dosage and never had any success so it was a lot of time and money for nothing. Last week I finally was approved for a presciption one through my actual Drs office. Even after just a week and on the lowest dose available I can tell it is completely working now that I am on the real medication. I have zero appetite and have already lost a couple pounds. Livea did say I should do it in combo with their food program but I prefer to eat whole foods (not processed)and I have food allergies. Plus their food is SUPER expensive. I felt bad for all the senior citizens that came in and bought bags of food I think you could buy protein shakes at Sams or costco just as good for cheaper. I will say they were always nice and polite.

If it weren't for the amount of sciatic pain and neck pain I was having I don't think I would have ever went back to a chiropractor but boy am I glad I did! I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Dave (who's probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet). He made some recommendations for chiropractic and physical therapy starting at about 3 times a week and then scaling back once I started feeling better. (This could be a VERY long story so I'm going to get to the point). Going to NLW is honestly the best decision I have made regarding my own personal healthcare. After months of sciatic pain and years of neck and shoulder pain I can with all honesty say that I am pain free! But just because I feel better doesn't mean I'm going to stop seeing doctor Dave. Even if I go just once a month. I refuse to go back to the pain and discomfort I was having. I KNOW what NLW has done for me has changed my life. I didn't want to forget to mention that the entire staff at NLW is amazing. I have been waiting weeks and was really going through a hard time. I was so excited when the day came I logged in and was waiting. It was now 10min past my session so I called the front office and they said that they called me because Kathryn had to reschedule. I had no call and no voicemail telling me that so I was out of luck that day and extremely down and disappointed not to mention wasted time waiting for no reason. We rescheduled that first appointment she missed for 2 weeks later for her next opening. The day right before this appointment they now called and said that she has to reschedule AGAIN because she now has a personal appointment. Did she not look at her calendar to see she has someone that has now been waiting over 2 months and has been blown off twice? I cried a lot after hearing that because like I said I have been struggling mentally and really needing to talk to someone. I am still looking for a new therapist but would never consider making yet a third appointment to just be blown off again. I can't go somewhere that is clearly not taking the people who are waiting to get in to see them seriously. Its just really disappointing because some people really need that time to talk to someone and get even deeper in depression when they can't.

The workouts are great, and modifiable since we are more than a bit out of shape. There is a lot of variety to the workouts and exercises that keep things challenging and interesting. I really enjoy the app they have as it gives you so much information, even what the workout will be for each class. The people are great, both coaches and members. They offer more than CrossFit classes so don't hesitate to give this gym a try.

We were a little nervous after hearing mixed reviews for the last few years about Crossfit -- some people think it's dangerous and others think it's the best thing ever! I can see how, based on what gym you go to, your idea may lean closer to one versus the other. Mi5 started us off with a 1 week free trial where we sampled several different classes! Endurance, Barbell Club, FIT, and Strength and Sweat! All of them with a very different purpose & stimulus. As an individual who needs to modify quite a few movements, I have ALWAYS felt like I had a place at Mi5 and never was looked at differently because I changed a movement or needed to do something a bit differently or with a lighter weight. Additionally, the coaches are PHENOMINAL! They help you to come up with modifications for a workout if you are injured, have not progressed to that movement yet, or just don't feel comfortable doing it! Even when I'm attending for Open Gym, if there's a coach around & I have a question about a movement, they are always willing to take the time to have a conversation about that specific movement, general gym goals, or just to hang out and chat! We're extremely glad we joined and are very grateful for this community!
