With the gyro meat slowly roasting on the broiler, I knew I had to get the pita kebab. An order of the sandwich with extra spicy sauce was placed with a gentleman behind the counter. With his swift actions, my pita kebab was ready in a matter of minutes. The stuffed sandwich was so good that I quickly devoured it without minding my manners. While I was here, the guy suggested an order of bacalhau fritters. As you may or may not know, bacalhau is known as one of Lisbon's many traditional foods. Having never tried any types of fish cakes, I took his suggestion and ordered one. Initially, I wasn't impressed but ultimately the salted cod fritters eventually grew on me. If I must describe it, these fritters reminded me of fish sticks except maybe just a tad on the fishy side. For an abundance of food and the cheap price, I'm glad to have found such a place!

My wife was really looking forward to returning here in 2018 but we were disappointed. Nothing was bad. It was just mediocre. It wasn't as good as our visits in 2016. We arrived just after they opened for dinner at 6PM. Although we were the only people in the restaurant, we weren't allowed to sit in their one window seat because they keep that open for a writer who frequents the place. We also weren't able to get any naan bread because they didn't pre-heat the oven and said it would take 30-45 minutes after opening for it to be ready. The Papari Masali (papadums) were decent, as were the Chamuças de Frango (samosas). An order of jirra rice is definitely enough for 2. My wife had a spicy chicken curry dish that isn't on the menu on the web site. I had a Seekh kabab, a grilled minced lamb kabab. It was good, but overcooked. The total price was 36 Euros, including beers, which I have nothing to complain about. All in all, it was, as I said before, mediocre. The server and staff were friendly as always. We will probably return for a late night curry after a night of Bairro Alto drinking, but there are other Indian restaurants in Lisboa that have been recommended by an Indian friend that we will likely pursue for a planned dinner next visit.

Everyone loved what was served. Because it was so good, we decided to go back the next day and we all ordered different food to try out the next day. The second day we went back, Bf wasn't feeling very well. One of their staff would come by to ask him if he needs anything else and is feeling better once a while. Overall they not only showed their food is awesome, the customer service has exceeded expectation by far. The stuffed mushroom and kebab lollipop are very tasty and flavorful as well.

We went during a transition period for the restaurant, the head chef and the creative force for the restaurant had just announced that she was leaving and it was being transition to a new head chef. We ordered the option with less moments because we had forgotten we had this reservation and had ate a larger lunch before so we were not that hungry. The first that came out was a beautiful beet tartare (I don't eat raw beef so they replaced the beef tartare) and a pickled mussel which I didn't care for the flavor for either. After that was the bread moment which the bread was delicious but disappointing that from a 5 moment tasting menu bread was 1 of the moments. We then had the leche de Tigre that was very delicious After was the hamachi which was delicious but was only two small pieces The next was the ox tongue that I felt I had to force myself to eat. The tongue was cooked boiled and didn't have much flavor but it resulted in a texture that I didn't care for. I love eel but the piece was so small I couldn't even tell it was there. Finally the dessert, the yuzu rice pudding with jasmine ice cream was okay. The ice cream felt like it had gotten freezer burn and was not sweet at all so the balance felt thrown off. We had some of the most delicious desserts in Portugal so this was lackluster. The surprise desserts were good but nothing that blew me away. I'm interested to see how the concept changes now that it's under new leadership because this was very disappointing especially at the price point it was.

It all started by having to wait 1 Hour and 50 minutes on our food! There were 6 of us and after 37 minutes when we asked when the food arrives a young women and men responded that it will be there within a few minutes. Another 20 minutes passed and we asked again for our food. The women said it will be there in a few minutes, it's coming right up! The man then came and mentioned that the long wait is because of the meat (chicken kebab) we ordered! He shouldn't have even said that. It was extremely rude to point fingers at our guests like that. Then they bring the chicken kebab out first and the rest of the food came out 20 minutes after that!!! The food they brought to us was literally food waste of other people's dishes!!! The "steak" could not and I repeat could not be cut! Literally after 7 attempts it could not be cut with a sharp knife. It felt like a rock and was burnt! The fish and shrimp were all dried up. The vegetarian dish looked liked mashed indian rice. Disgusting. None of the meals looked like the pictures advertised on their menus! I filmed everything and I wish I could upload it here. We did not touch the food and asked to only pay for the water, beer and soup we had. The young man who was very rude seemed to be the owner too and was forcing us to pay for it all. He yelled at us in front of other people and at some point event got too close and we thought he wanted to hit us. One of our guests who is always very calm told him to not touch him. he then continued threatening us that we have to pay and we said we can't eat this food. He just took a quick look at the steak (as he knew what he gave us but was hoping he could get away with it and we eat that crap) and said I can take the steak and bring something else. We refused and he yelled and I told him to bavk off and not get to close to us otherwise I will call the cops on him. We paid him what we ate/drank and then I wanted to take a picture of the receipt and he ran to me to gran the receipt (most likely as their information was on it) and said you didn't eat anything so you dont need that. Howeve, I snapped a quick picture. Folks, stay away from that place! Otherwise you will get sick!!

It's a tiny takeout-only counter, but the lines can get very long here. When I arrived, it was mid-afternoon, so only about five or so people. They're very quick with the food as well - I got mine, the classic one (no cheese), about a minute after ordering. The sandwich overall was pretty good. It's not meant to be a full meal - more like a snack or a breakfast type - it's not very large. The pork is alright, but a little tough. It's not very juicy, as there are certain parts that feel leather-ish. It did grow on me as I kept eating though, and towards the end I started to like it more. The bread is actually quite good; crispy on the top and yet the hollowed-out inside stays fluffy. They have mustard and chili oil on a side table for you to add - and this is much needed. The moisture from these helps so much with the sandwich, and especially the mustard just adds that different flavor that prevents it from being just plain pork. Oh yeah, and it's super cheap - at just 3 euros. Overall, it's not amazing food, but for how cheap it is it gets the job done. 8/10
