Because it's my bday, I decided to get a full set along with my pedicure ;-/. This is the second time I've gotten my nails done at Spataneous, One regular gel mani and today's full set + gel.... not expecting the salon to care and utilize the same 2 hours I take at home, but I do expect more than what I was given... my nails look like I did them at home. The acrylic is thick and uneven and each nail looks different and/or lopsided. Rather than polish the full nail and use a thin brush with remover to remove any that gets on The skin, they'd rather skimp the nail so there's less work/cleanup. Pure laziness and lack of thoroughness! For $55, whether the appt was close to the salon closing time or not, I should love my nails. I want a refund given I have to go home, file them down and also re-polish.... My pedicure is decent but I had to ask for the nails to be filed evenly and also pointed out dead skin that was missed.... For $45, I shouldn't have to critique. I should be able to relax and trust that I will love the end result... back to the mani lol.... I was trying my best to be polite so decided to play the bday card "I need then perfect, my bday is tomorrow". The tech LITERALLY responded and stated I've mentioned my bday 10 times already and other people have birthdays too lol. I said well I'm saying it so you can do better without being micromanaged about the manicure job lol... I was done after the comment but still tipped. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure and I'm walking out very disappointed. First I went in wanting to remove two acrylics on my big toes that I had been wanting to remove for a min. Instead the lady overlayed more gel on top instead of doing what I asked and didn't ask me if that was okay. Also, I was charged $15 for this and I didn't even ask for it and it was TWO toes. And when it came to the end I wanted to do regular polish and not gel I was told I had to do gel because of the acrylic that SHE gave me. Then, let's move to my nails. I came in with a picture of what I wanted for my nails that was extremely basic and the lady kept suggesting things that was nothing like what I wanTed. I also asked if I could have a certain design and she said "no, this or that would be better." So when we got towards the end I told her I didn't want any design just the polish and then she said she could do the original thing I asked for. I'm not sure if she just didn't feel like doing what I wanted but wanted the extra money or what but it was very frustrating. I am extremely upset walking out because I feel like I was up charged for things I didn't want or ask for and Im walking out not loving the results and this visit was supposed to be very basic and then out to be the same price I normally get when I get something more fancy. I am extremely clear, patient, and nice in these spaces because I know the language barrier can be tough but sometimes I feel that grace gets taken advantage of in this shop. She turns to him, they speak in another language and she turns back to me and says "He said $42 because you got a paraffin wax and sugar scrub"'. The paraffin was included in my pedicure I chose and I never asked for the sugar scrub. I informed her of that. After we go back and forth about it, I paid the money. I had a $20 in my hand to tip the man and slid it right back in my purse. A customer lost and a tip gone. I will never return!

Walking into the business I was greeted with the receptionist's lunch which was overwhelming because the waiting area is small, it just wasn't a good look walking in with the smell and them going to town on their lunch. There seems to be lots of break space in the back so I'm not sure why eating at the receptionist area was an option. Maybe it was a one off day, but the wax service was good!
