Because it's my bday, I decided to get a full set along with my pedicure ;-/. This is the second time I've gotten my nails done at Spataneous, One regular gel mani and today's full set + gel.... not expecting the salon to care and utilize the same 2 hours I take at home, but I do expect more than what I was given... my nails look like I did them at home. The acrylic is thick and uneven and each nail looks different and/or lopsided. Rather than polish the full nail and use a thin brush with remover to remove any that gets on The skin, they'd rather skimp the nail so there's less work/cleanup. Pure laziness and lack of thoroughness! For $55, whether the appt was close to the salon closing time or not, I should love my nails. I want a refund given I have to go home, file them down and also re-polish.... My pedicure is decent but I had to ask for the nails to be filed evenly and also pointed out dead skin that was missed.... For $45, I shouldn't have to critique. I should be able to relax and trust that I will love the end result... back to the mani lol.... I was trying my best to be polite so decided to play the bday card "I need then perfect, my bday is tomorrow". The tech LITERALLY responded and stated I've mentioned my bday 10 times already and other people have birthdays too lol. I said well I'm saying it so you can do better without being micromanaged about the manicure job lol... I was done after the comment but still tipped. This is MY LAST VISIT. please Read and trust the reviews, they're all valid.... Plz find somewhere else to go! there are two other salons in the same vicinity... She was so kind to finish up with her client and take my MIL in a chair that was diagonal to my pedicure chair. She engaged with her and made her feel very comfortable. I was so grateful. I received a really good pedicure from Anna, who too gave extra consideration to my MIL. While i was unable to get my manicure at the same time, i returned later in the evening, and Rose was able to get me in after a short wait. While I'm a minimalist short length girlie, Rose was top tier in giving my nails the shape that flatters my length(no stubbiness) The salon is neat and clean, with plenty of chairs! The technician then persuaded me into getting a pedicure as well -- a decision I sincerely regret. Toward the end of the pedicure, I started feeling a burning sensation on my right foot. I didn't know why at first, since there was product all over my feet. But once it was wiped off, I realized there was a fresh open wound on my pinky toe. The cause? The technician was grating my foot like a block of cheese -- way too aggressively and absolutely unprofessionally. No certified tech should ever be doing that, especially not to the point of breaking skin and causing injury. (Assuming she's even certified.) When I brought this to their attention, no one cared. I asked to speak with a manager or owner, and no one would give me any information. No accountability. No apology. No discount. No credit. Nothing. Just blank stares. And to top it off? The same technician who cut my foot stood at the counter expecting a tip. My total came to $105, and not a single person tried to make it right -- they still charged me full price knowing I was injured under their care. Completely unacceptable. She turns to him, they speak in another language and she turns back to me and says "He said $42 because you got a paraffin wax and sugar scrub"'. It was the perfect nail color a milky white powder and the perfect shape. I arrived a little bit before 11:00 a.m. and went directly to Tina's chair because she was ready for me. No waiting. Tina is very experienced with all type of nail designs as I have seen her do my daughters nails many times. She is super quick, skilled and is able to give you exactly what you want. My nails came out perfectly I couldn't have asked for better My pedicure was done by Linda. I had an issue with my big toe splitting in the middle to which I had already partially taken the nail down. I did not think that a nail tech was going to be able to make my toe look pretty. I was absolutely wrong. Linda took her time and filed my nail down to make it look like absolutely nothing had happened to it. She did not need to put acrylic on it or a tip she used my own nail. She was able to shape it sand it down etc. She made my feet feel brand new and that's always a plus. The color that I used on my feet is DND 642 Magenta Aura. Most of the times I find colors that I like on Instagram and then look up the number and bring it with me. A lot of times looking at the swatches in the nail salon can be overwhelming because they all are so pretty. I also write down the numbers so that I can always refer back to them. I was in the salon for maybe an hour and 20 minutes for both services. I have zero complaints about this place.
