well the photo says enough... Me and my cousin went in. She wanted black nails with chrome, had a photo of what she wanted. The staff was rude and rushed. She didn't even want to look at the photo she had. The lady then proceeded to work on her and never asked her 1 question if she liked her nails if they looked right. nothing. not a word. she was aggressive and pulled her hands around and had to re dip her nails multiple times after over filing them with the drill.... This was my first time here, and i was not completely impressed. I was a walk in but asked if it was okay for them to do my nails, to which they said yes, which I now realize was a mistake because there was no communication between the different people doing my nails. I kept getting different people switching back and forth, which was fine in the beginning, but miscommunication became an issue. I tried communicating how I liked the length of a nail and wanted it on the rest, and instead they just left my pinky shorter and the rest long. LV is located near the old Dominos building, across from the welcome center at Tarleton. On the outside it doesn't look like much but give it a chance, go inside, and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. To the left of the register is a wall of massage chairs/pedicure stations. At the back of that wall is a more private section of massage chairs for private groups. There's a table meant to be a waiting area with very comfy chairs. LV does appointment and if they aren't close to closing time they take in walk-ins. Walk-in clients may have to wait but that is the price to pay for being unannounced. Hannah at station 8 did my nails. She honestly blew my mind with the time and effort she put into them. The dip powder I originally requested was no where to be found so she made sure she found the closest match to it for me. During the process of filing my nails, one of my cuticles bled a little. This was not at all Hannah's fault, I have really dry cuticles that bleed for no reason if they're hit. She offered to do a cuticle trim for an extra $10, instead of the usual $15. Hannah spent well over an hour on my nails, making sure they were the perfect shape, length, color, and thickness. During the entire process, she continued to ask if I liked what she had done so far. I really appreciated that because it showed she listens to her customers. After my nails were done and she finished the cuticle trim, she massages my back and my hands since I had been sitting in one spot for so long. The bill came out to be $50 but I got a discount and paid $40. If you're a student at Tarleton, you get 10% off if you have your ID. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nail salon in Stephenville!! read more

I went to get a pedicure with my friend and her boyfriend. We usually go here just because they have always been really good. This time we made a appointment so they knew we were coming to get pedicures. We walk in the door and they said the girl who took our appointment over the phone forgot to mention that there wouldn't be any female nail tech to do us guys nails. That they couldn't help us and turned us away, when my friend boyfriend asked why, they wouldn't give a explanation. Its honestly sexist and homophobic, my friends and I will no longer be doing business here. Which works out cause my friend said the last time they got their nails done here, they were horribly done. read more

But they don't do any nail prepping, and the nail shape I walked out with was absolutely horrible. I ended up just going to Walmart and getting a nail file to reshape them because it was just so bad and I'm super sad that I wasted my money on a full dip set. read more

My overall experience here was absolutely the worst out of all places I've been to. This wasn't even the first time either! I got a pedicure and I paid extra for the gel polish because it's supposed to last longer, well 1 toe came off the same day I got it done and another toe came off 4 days later. The lady doing my toes didn't even scrub my feet like they are supposed to do. I left with a ton of peeling skin on my feet and toes. When I had asked about my massage the manager came up to me all hostile acting as if there was an issue when I had just asked a simple question. The lady never did my daughters nails she just walked off and started working on someone new. The manager asked why we were still there and I told her we were waiting on them to do my daughters nails so she came over and immediately started painting her nails without even trimming or filing them. I originally wanted gel for my daughter but she told me to do regular so I just went with it. My daughters nail polish came off before we even left the building. I will not ever be returning. $100 for a bunch of missing toe nails. Thanks a lot! read more

I like to get clear extensions. I think they're dope if they're done right. The last time I went in there, they laughed when I requested it. I was so embarrassed at how my nails turned out. They didn't even clean under my nails, nor did they completely remove the dark gray dip before applying clear on top... They looked not just bad, but gross. I've never left a nail appointment that I can remember without tipping, but I wrote in $0 on this receipt. I already haven't been and wouldn't have gone back after this. HOWEVER, after learning that they refused service to my dear friend, who happens to be an LGBTQIA male, I will never step foot inside of LV again. I walked in with hopes of getting French nails done but what I didn't know is that they don't clean your nails or anything before. They just smacked it on my hands and then didn't make me wash my hands so that the dust from fileing wouldn't be in the finish but it was. They grew out with in a week because the acrylic wasn't placed all the way back as it could due to the cuticle being there. If you can find better then I would try. Very unsatisfied. read more

Worst nail salon! Made me cry due to the lack of compassion. Walked in the younger front desk lady is absolutely rude. Wanted a manicure and pedicure however walked out with only a pedicure in tears afterwards. My pedicure took about 10mins, she was awful and my toes came out so bad. The whole time I had a handful of the nail colors to choose from, my arms could not reach to set them down. The nail technician did not care at all. After I proceeded to tell her my toe color she grabbed them and I said "I'm getting my nails done too" thinking she would get my nail color too however she practically threw them back on me. The whole time had them sitting on my lap and at one point they fell into the water. I apologized so much and the nail tech did not say a word nor did she pick them up for me... I had to bend down and pick them up out of the water and put the soaking nails on my lap. This service was so bad. The whole time the manger was sitting at the table and said nothing. My boyfriend was so bothered by the situation that he called and talked to the manger. He offered half price, nails done by himself. I would never ever go back. The only reason they receive business is because their location near the university. read more

Wait times are almost nonexistent. I have been here two separate times. The owner seems nice, but I have ended up with the most rude nail lady both times. She seems annoyed by her job and clients, and when I asked her to even out my thumb nail before it was painted because it was ridiculously slanted, she seemed very bothered. I left with that nail straight, and my index nail also slanted but I did not catch it until after I had left. If I was to make a comment about how I wanted my nail, I would get no reaction or feedback out of her. When I would ask a question pertaining to the nail comment I made after a while, she would barely even shake her head. Her English is fine, so that's no excuse. I really wanted to like the place, but she just made it so unenjoyable and stressful I will not be going back again. read more

the nail techs here are amazing (shoutout tina) but the management is very frustrating. i like to book appointments because i usually get my nails done on days i run errands and don't want to spend 2 hours in a salon. it seems that almost without fail i am waiting an extra 30min-1hr because the manager takes walk-ins when he knows people with appointments are coming in. i make it a point to show up for my appointments on time, so it would be nice if the manager showed respect for my time, as i am showing respect for his, and the time of his employees. the girls at the front desk are always so sweet and do their best to accommodate but i know they can only do so much. if it weren't for the amazing service from the nail techs and girls at the front, i would not come back to this salon. read more
