If you are unsure as to what is correct, go to any store that sells men's suits and ask. Better yet, just do a little google search. New suits (mine at least) have plackets long enough so when hemmed they will not look improper. Sewing them shut is simply incorrect and absolutely not a default choice. No one asked him to create new plackets with extra material. I did not ask him for a cheap option, and I told him to take his time. His dismissive response is misleading at best. When questioned the next day, he used measurements to try to convince me why he had no choice but to do what he did, but those numbers did not check out upon verification at home. Technicalities aside, look at the photos, and think of what other pitfalls you as a customer will need to foresee and avoid. I took the jackets to another alteration shop. As it turned out, Alex had cut out the fabric that was originally in the plackets so his mistake could not be reversed. Another unnecessary violation of a basic rule. The other new jacket, however, has been hemmed properly by her the first time, at a cost comparable to what AA+ charged for the improper and oversimplified job.

The shop offers alterations as well as dry cleaning services. Although small, it has enough room for two fitting rooms, a small platform, and a full length mirror. The shared parking lot is massive. I've used their dry cleaning services before and have always been pleased. They only accept cash or check, but are nice enough to give you the option of paying for services when you pick up if you don't have either cash or check on hand. At my last visit, I brought a jumpsuit to be hemmed. Typical me forgot to bring the shoes I plan on wearing with the jumpsuit. The nice lady (not Sue) who was helping me gave me her shoes (just to step on) to get an idea of the hem lenghth I wanted. I just picked up my jumpsuit earlier this week and the lenght is perfect! She also did a great job with the hem. I paid $25. I also want to add that my sister used Sue for her wedding gown alterations in 2016 and she was more than satisfied with the service and the price! She met Sue at Bravura in Snellville for 3-4 fittings, when Sue was the seamstress at Bravura before that location closed. My sister lost weight after every fitting and required lots of alterations. However, Sue did not charge her for the additional work. Sue was very professional and thorough. My sister's dress turned out gorgeous and she was comfortable throughout the day. The bustle was beautiful and and easy to do. It made my job as a MOH easier the day of the wedding!

My phone rang and I stepped outside to be respectful to take a call and not disturb anyone. When I came back in she was actually working on an alteration on the same man's jacket that he had removed. She still did not acknowledge me so I asked if I should come back and she mumbled something. After he left she insulted me by saying the blouse was too small and that my bottom was too big and that's why the tear had occurred. How ignorant? If you're a seamstress then if that even remotely true you might be able to make money off me but clearly something else was going on. I told her that the blouse had been hanging up in my closet and that I might've worn it once or twice. She ignored me and stated the same rude and ignorant statement again. I took my items and walked out the door. My husband recommended this ignoramus. I have told him what she did and he will not be returning. She clearly caters to black men but seemed to not like me from the minute I walked in. If hell freezes over I would not ask this ignorant, rude, and ugly woman for a single ice cube. It took every ounce of dignity and self respect for me to not return insult for insult. If you need alterations save yourself the time and aggravation unless you're a man. Perhaps she's providing other services in the other part of her parlor. She took one look at me and determined that she didn't want my business. Which reeked of prejudice and gender bias. If you don't like black women, move your little business to a location away from the black female community.
