I've had several items tailored here and everything has been as I wanted…read more Each time I've been the owner/seamstress will instruct you to put on whatever is being tailored and stand on this platform. She then will eyeball what alterations are needed and pin them so you will see what the finished product will look like. This means you need to wear the shoes you will wear if you are messing with the length. It's a pretty exact measurement. This is a small shop, I've only ever seen one other person besides myself and the owner in there at a time. She only accepts cash and checks. Prices seem reasonable I believe it was maybe $25 or so to hem the bridesmaids dresses (each), maybe $30 or so to take in the bodice. Items tailored: 1. Bridesmaid dress- shortened. I wanted it floor length and it was. 2. bridesmaid dress #2 - shortened and taken in a bodice 3. Pants - shortened

My experience at this store was horrible! I had my dress altered for a wedding. The…read moreseamstress/owner took my measurements and assured me that everything would be perfect. Unfortunately, tere was no sign of perfection involved in the finished product! I tried on my dress the day before the wedding, and to my dismay, the front was longer than the back. The front of the dress was so long that it touched the floor and caused me to trip as I attempted to walk. Can you imagine walking down the isle and tripping in the middle of a wedding ceremony? What's was more frustrating is I was already in another state and was unable to return to the shop for additional alterations. I called the owner and informed her of my situation and said I expected a refund. She immediately became defensive and said she has been doing this job for many years and does excellent work. She asked if I had on the same shoes worn during her measurements. I told her I did have on the same shoes. She then told me several times that I could come back to the shop to have the dress altered. I kept informing her that I was already in another state and unable to return. I told her since there wasn't anything she could do at that time, I was only calling to make her aware of the situation and to inform her that I expected a refund upon my return. She was still very defensive and continued to tell me how she provides quality work and this inaccuracy in measurements is not possible. I continued to state my purpose for calling - I wanted a refund - and she eventually hung up on me. Since many stores were closed that evening, I had to spend the morning of the wedding frantically searching for safety pins. I ended up pinning the midsection of the dress to make it lift off the floor. Unfortunately, the pins were slightly visible during the ceremony. Very frustrating!

Laine London - The first dress I tried on and I was STUNNED at both the quality and the beauty of this dress.

So I did the terrible thing of trying on another dress after buying a dress and couldn't get it out…read moreof my head. In my defense (lol) my venue changed after I bought my dress and I no longer felt my purchased dress was the one. I was told that anything I bought unless it was a sample would not make it to me to be altered in time and I began to freak out. I'd been to try on wedding dresses at three different shops prior and this was by far the best experience I've had with the most quality gowns. The owner, London, was my actual stylist and she was so attentive and thorough. I sent her inspo photos prior to my appointment and she curated my looks to a tee. I got to see myself fully styled with the dress of my dreams! And as a plus-size girly that meant a lot when I often ran into issues with some of my dream dresses not being in a sample size that I could really appreciate on MY body. London was both affirming and knowledgeable. I really appreciated my experience and I look forward to walking down the aisle to the LOML, feeling beautiful next March. Thanks for everything London! You made my wedding dress dreams come true

This being my first experience of this nature, I would say if you're in the area (and are in the need of a wedding dress) please make an appointment to give them an opportunity to win your business.

This family-owned business has done two alterations for me and I'm very satisfied with the quality,…read moreservice, timeliness and prices. They take card transactions but in some cases, if you're rushing an order, they take cash. Things you should know: I. PARKING The alteration shop is within the Medlock Village Shopping Center plaza. There's a free private parking lot out front with available spaces. II. SERVICE Excellent ~ my first visit here was a stressful situation where I needed a bridesmaid dress altered ASAP. Jenny calmed my anxiety by reassuring me she could get it done for me and ready to pick up by the next day. They always have you try on the altered clothing before for your input & after the adjustment to make sure it fits accordingly. III. QUALITY Out of the two items they've altered, I couldn't even see where the new stitch work was made. I typically struggle with pants fitting my waist but the fit was perfect after Medlock Alterations did their changes to my slacks

My daughter needed to hem a chorus dress in time for a concert this week. I reached out via Yelp…read morefor options and discovered the kind ladies of Medlock Alterations. I got a fast response via message from them so I decided to give them a try. They told me to bring the right shoes so they could measure accurately. I wouldn't have thought of that! The location is easy to find right off 141 and parking is a breeze in front. They have good hours, open til 630 and even open on weekend. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and her mom- by name since I'd made a arranged time they were expecting us! There was a really nice arrangement of masks while we waited to browse. Some of these were made with beautiful fabrics for formal events and in all the colors you could dream of. My daughter put on the gown for measuring and she was made to feel comfortable (this was her very first experience at a tailor service.) she was complimented on her look as well. The dress was ready in a quick timeframe and absolutely on time for our event. My daughter was pleased with the result- and attention to detail. The hem looks extremely professional. I recommend this business and will be back soon with more alterations.
