When I advised I was leaving -- and had to remind three times -- no one called to ask why I was doing do. This practice is unfortunately overpriced. I had paid much more because of Dr Deutsch's high quality care, but $2500 for one crown (compared to $1500 in the practice I now use) could not be justified with his replacement.

I went home with way too much anesthetics injected into my mouth. It was numb for hours to the point I was drooling and really had to wait a long time to eat as I was warned that it could be dangerous to eat with a numb mouth in case I bit my cheek or something and couldn't feel it. I was so upset I never came back and wrote the previous review only to have someone from the clinic claim that I'm not even in their patient system. Really convenient. Fast forward more time - I receive an email reminder for an upcoming appointment and it says that I cannot email for cancelation and must call in. I called and they are closed on a Friday at 3pm. I did not make this appointment but clearly I'm in their system somewhere. This is ridiculous. I left a voicemail when prompted on the phone to state that I did not schedule this appointment and want it canceled. If I get charged for this, I'll be sure to challenge and escalate this.

While seeing Dr. Banks for the guard, I asked him about a complicated dental issue I have that four other dentists and an endodontist I had previously consulted with could not help me. Dr. Banks listened attentively to my story and requested me to send him my latest x-rays to review. He discussed my situation with an endodontist who I will be seeing for a consult after my eye surgery. I was extremely impressed with his sincere interest in my case especially since it was outside the scope of my appointment with him which was to only make me an occlusal guard. Dr. Banks is the epitome of an amazing, professional dentist. He is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and kind. Besides putting in all of this extra effort to help me with an issue that was outside the purview of my visit, he also made me two occlusal mouth guards for my upcoming surgery and only charged me for one. They over-charge me and told me that I needed treatments that were not needed or required. I took off work for a "cleaning" and instead got a TWO HOUR conciliation about me needing a "deep cleaning" for $600 (not covered by my insurance) -- which is MetLife. Then had the audacity, to ask when could they could schedule me for my cleaning treatment!?! Little did they know, my sister is a dentist in Chicago and I had them email my X-RAYS to her for a second opinion (oh and they charge $35 for that). Please don't fall victim to the "fast talking Dr and cleaning technicians". I've never been so annoyed in my life.
