    Summertime Coffin nails!!
    Jessica S.

I wanted something fun for the last days of summer vacation - so I went with "warm pink" on the top & a lime-green for the "V" tip. Ring finger in an ombré from yellow to orange and magenta - palm tree in black. Coffin-shaped. Kevin did a wonderful job! I'm very happy! & I can be a bit of a pain when it comes to my nails. I did shellac lime-green on my toes. Usually would do normal nail polish pedicure, but since we are renting a cabin on the beach for a few weeks, I figured the shellac would hold up much better in the sand & water! I will be back to see Kevin in a few weeks before I go back to work!! To get something more "work friendly"! Thank you!!

    my crappy nails

Do not go here!!! They take shortcuts and are just trying to get you out as fast as possible. Super rough and careless. Drilled the skin on my fingers too far back on every. single. one. Didn't even file my nails before putting the acrylic on them. Didn't get the shape or length i wanted right. Giving them 1 star because my nails looks a tad better than when i walked in.

Horrible. I could have done a better job myself.

the worst manicure I ever had. My nails and cuticles looked better before I went in. Cold water for soaking. Did not remove clear polish I had on until I told him I had clear polish. Cuticles were made worse. I cannot believe how bad my cuticles look. No basecoat. Horrible. Will NOT be back. Nothing "luxury" about this place. I wish I could give 0 stars

    Missing acrylic on edge

Messy and careless work. Lots of avoidable mistakes were made because the tech rushed. They weren't busy. I'm a nail tech and I don't like doing my own nails. I am very particular about my nails. in this case it was just really sloppy work. one of my hands is a lot shorter than the other hand. I actually had to ask her to use her emery board so that I could fix some of my nails. there' are a lot of streaks in the acrylic.there are areas of my nails that have no acrylic on them at all they were just missed. the underside of the nail has a lot of chunks of acrylic that were left. There are bubbles on my nails from the gel polish overlay. It was just globbed on all at once versus thin layers. all in all it's not worth the $60 that I paid and I would just recommend going somewhere else with techs who take their time and care about their work. I had to fix them when I got home so put in an hour of my time to fix the nails I paid someone else to do.

I have been going here for about 6 months and love it! The staff are so sweet, it's always relaxing, and my nails always turn out amazing! I get the dip powder and they have so many colors. The pricing is very fair, and they've never added extra charges for certain shapes or colors. They're very careful, clean, and gentle with my nails and they've never turned out crooked. I've broken my nails once and gone for repairs and they were so sweet about fixing them! They are seriously awesome, I wish I could give them 10 stars.

The staff were really nice. I got the seaweed pedicure and manicure ($45). Even though there was a language barrier, the staff did their very best to greet and help their customers. The pedicure and manicure was relaxing and my toes felt very clean. The salon was well placed and clean, you can tell they keep their tools and machines clean. I definitely will be back. :) I would say it is good for a girls day out.

Polishing my nails like this!!!! WTH!!! Refuse to remove the polish. Tina said she removed enough! girl bye!!

Is there a lesser rating? Pictures are worth a thousand words. Tina is apparently the top nail tech but today she was the worst. I came in for a dip. Been here for years. She only buffed a portion of the polish off and proceed to put polish on top of the old red polish. I told her no! I do not want that. I want the full manicure treatment with clean fresh nails and polish. She was reluctant and had an attitude. Told me it would be ok. But I insisted to remove the old polish. She took off the polish and used her nails to push back my cuticles. Next, she put on the polished. She never said anything to my disappointment until I addressed the owner. I told her to cease talking to me because she had an hour to address my concerns and chose not to do so ; Therefore, excuse herself from my conversation. It's horrible to treat people as if they don't deserve the FULL treatment for which they are paying. The first impression is "an angry black woman". Well In this case I was, because I was being pushed to receive trashy service which wasn't going to happen. No other race in that shop was denied, nail tools, buffering, or having their polish removed (saying the color wasn't going to be seen anyway) WTH. Tina never apologized. The owner apologized. Others apologized. As I told the owner, Tina is a human worker, not Jesus! She's fallible. Mistakes happen. She needs to Own it. Hell machines falter, and humans even repair them. She won't even apologize she's so arrogant on her talent!! Tina, you're only as good as each satisfied patron, not the person you see in the mirror. Get over yourself and remember you SERVE PEOPLE NOT YOURSELF. I PAID MY FULL BILL AND LEFT PISSED. IVE NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE BEFORE AT LUXURY. hope it's the last. The disrespect today was unbelievable but seen worldwide daily. My husband and I been going here for years, paying good money. But no matter where you go you must stand up for yourself and respect yourself no matter where you go.

    What I got

If I could give less stars I would. I've gone to this place 3 times and each time was HORRIBLE. As soon as we walked in we heard the owner arguing with a customer about the customer being charged twice. She went off and told other customers stuff about the situation while she was trying to "resolve" the issue which she really wasn't doing. I asked for a pink to white ombré and got something different. I also asked her to make them thin and didn't get it. Last time I'll be going there.

Love this salon I have never gotten my nails done professionally but I will definitely be going back there again!

I had never been so relaxed, and the facial was amazing!!! Gosh I would so go again!!! ONLY THING, I did not enjoy much of the manicure i received. The woman was lovely we had a good conversation, but the manicure itself wasn't good. She had just started and had trouble with the manicure itself... I just expected more for the package I received. Other than that wonderful!!! I'd definitely come again for the massage and facial!

Later, I found out this was because their web-site was being re-done. This was weeks ago, and web site was still not up and running to date! 2) couldn't find their phone number either, so went thru the hotel to get it. These aren't that big of a deal, but I wish I'd heeded it as a warning sign for things to come. I was trying to book services for myself and for a girlfriend of mine visiting from out of town, and bc we had no services to look at, we did so on the phone not really knowing what was all entailed. The girl on the phone was not great help either as she seemed disinterested or annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted to do. Hard to know what to book for when I don't know what you offer! ;) 3) So we finally booked services a WEEK prior to the appt and got a phone call the night before ( around 8pm, which I thought was a little odd being so late) to confirm our 2 pm appt the next day, which is fine, all good. We had planned a day around the services as a girls day out. I am a mother of a toddler and NEVER get to go out and be spoiled. My husband is a stage four melanoma fighter and needless to say I am frazzled and was in great need of some pampering. 4) the day of our services I get a phone call at NOON saying that we need to come in at 1pm as they had a "scheduling issue". So we had an hour to hustle and get there meaning we had to forgo all our other plans ( lunch, etc). 5) NO APOLOGY was given- (and that's the big one for me...) 6) BUT attitude WAS given to me in strides the minute they sensed my unhappiness about the situation, like it was somehow my fault that THEY screwed up. 7) it screwed up our WHOLE day and my one and only chance to get some pampering as we wEre going to go to lunch first then go to the spa. Now we had to eat and run just to get there in time. Once we got there, I had calmed down enough to try to enjoy the massage, but found out because I was sneezing they wouldn't give me a massage that day. I understand that part ( as they were worried I was contagious and I am a germ freak myself) but how they handled the situation AFTER that was also poor in my opinion. 8) They were highly unsympathetic and told me to come back another day and/or to give my gift card to someone else. I live 3000 miles away from anyone I know, I am basically by myself and don't get these opportunities like normal people do. They also said I could spend the 110$ gift card on THEIR beauty products ( how nice for them!) as they don't offer refunds. I am not really inclined to want to come back after the way they treated us today and would like my money refunded back to my brother who gave me the gift card as a birthday present and as a way for me to de-stress due to all the major stressors in my life right now. 9) I should also mention that they kept calling my friends house to make this change in appts even tho she was staying with me at my house for her vacation. She lives in CANADA and her husband had told them several times NOT to call that number to get a hold of her in the previous days, but rather to call my number here in Beaumont to confirm these appointments! Someone sure doesn't know what they are doing at Getaway Spa! In summary, the Getaway Spa only added much much more stress and took away my one opportunity to have a nice day out! They could have rectified the situation if they had only apologized for their screw up and didn't give me attitude like it was my fault. I am quite reasonable and understand how horrible the customer service industry can be as I worked several years in it, but this was truly a big mess up on their end! And after finding out they wouldn't massage me bc they feared I had a head cold (it could have just been allergies, but I get their point of view on that issue) and hearing of my predicament they could/should have just given my brother a refund! What a waste! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! And this was the MANAGER of the spa that I was dealing with! Save your money for somewhere else as they don't have it together at this place!

The waiting room is amazing, relaxing, and has lime infused water, protein snacks, and fruit for you to enjoy while you wait. What do they do here? Well, it's not your typical spa. They actually have a Nurse Practitioner in charge. So the name, MedSpa = medical spa. They are probably the only local spa who offers IV infusions which you normally have to go to Houston for. The Myers infusion is awesome for fibromyalgia, and a shot of glutathione can be added. Some fibromyalgia patients come weekly and have gotten off prescription medications. They also offer cosmetic injectables, body contouring, spider vein treatment, tattoo removal, lash extensions, etc., and they are the only spa to offer the hydrafacial MD treatment. They actually sit and talk to you in depth to determine what is best for you in every aspect. The staff are professional and extremely friendly and attentive. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my spa needs. I suggest you check out their website and see what all they offer!
