I wanted something fun for the last days of summer vacation - so I went with "warm pink" on the top & a lime-green for the "V" tip. Ring finger in an ombré from yellow to orange and magenta - palm tree in black. Coffin-shaped. Kevin did a wonderful job! I'm very happy! & I can be a bit of a pain when it comes to my nails. I did shellac lime-green on my toes. Usually would do normal nail polish pedicure, but since we are renting a cabin on the beach for a few weeks, I figured the shellac would hold up much better in the sand & water! Overall not a relaxing experience. When I first walked in I was asked the same questions multiple times by multiple people about the services I wanted. I explained what I wanted at least 3 times. I hate having to repeat myself when trying to receive a luxury service and felt they kept trying to upsell me by confusing me on purpose. It was like they couldn't understand what I was saying. The pedicurist was rough with my nails digging under them with too much pressure. She didn't apologize when I said "ow ow ow!!!" Halfway through she asked if I wanted my eyebrows done. No.... That wasn't a service I requested And that's rude to ask. Lol At some point during my manicurist putting gel on my nails, a random employee who was not previously working with me, came up behind me, grabbed my hand, and physically moved it under the light. She then proceeded to explain how it works to dry your polish. I know this. I had accidentally turned on the light twice and didn't want to keep my hand under there for longer than needed when my nails were already dry. Maybe don't touch and move your customers around. Very strange. Checking out was odd as they showed me a screen that asked me to input my own services into it in order to check out and ring myself up essentially which was confusing. I tried to tip 18% but the machine wouldn't let me. They messed around with it for a second and got it fixed but just out of frustration I lowered the tip to 15%. Overall felt rushed and confused, there's a heavy language barrier. The environment was clean though. read more

First time I went in I requested a fill & was forced to get a new set. I didn't have an issue with it but the guy Kevin was extremely rude and saying no, ugly nails, can't fill, you need new set... I didn't need a new set, I just went to another place for my previous fill and he tried to tell me that you should get a new set when you are at a new place. When I requested a different person finish my nails, he starred me down and paced around the shop until the owner and my boyfriend had to step in and tell him to stop. Johnnie ended up finishing my nails and did a great job. The owner apologized as well and said that he has a terrible attitude but does great work. So I am back to get a fill and Johnnie was busy but they tried to stick me with Kevin again. When I refused, he did his stare down at me at the register and someone told him to go to the back. But then I got Mimi. TERRIBLE NAIL TECH, but nice lady. I came in for a fill at 11am and I'm leaving at 1pm. I have 6 cut up cuticles, the nails were cracked on the sides of about 8 nails after filling, filing, and buffing. I had to ask for more acrylic 4 times and keep showing her that the sides were my real nail so it will lift as my nails grow. She had to call Tina over to help her and she tried to fix it but it was terrible. After 2 hours, I'm left with lumpy nails, bloody cuticles, and a $50 fill for square nails, shellac with nothing extra, and no designs. Messy and careless work. Lots of avoidable mistakes were made because the tech rushed. They weren't busy. I'm a nail tech and I don't like doing my own nails. I am very particular about my nails. in this case it was just really sloppy work. one of my hands is a lot shorter than the other hand. I actually had to ask her to use her emery board so that I could fix some of my nails. there' are a lot of streaks in the acrylic.there are areas of my nails that have no acrylic on them at all they were just missed. the underside of the nail has a lot of chunks of acrylic that were left. There are bubbles on my nails from the gel polish overlay. It was just globbed on all at once versus thin layers. all in all it's not worth the $60 that I paid and I would just recommend going somewhere else with techs who take their time and care about their work. I had to fix them when I got home so put in an hour of my time to fix the nails I paid someone else to do. read more

Beautiful salon, nice owner but I will never return. I was treated very rudely by the guy with the red hair. 1st if all he cut my nail too short then ask me if that was good. ( I guess it has to be you cut it wayyy too short) He got upset when I was trying to show him how I wanted the shape. Then, after I told him that my cuticles were tender, he still proceeds to almost cut each finger. It was so painful. read more

I have been going here for about 6 months and love it! The staff are so sweet, it's always relaxing, and my nails always turn out amazing! I get the dip powder and they have so many colors. The pricing is very fair, and they've never added extra charges for certain shapes or colors. They're very careful, clean, and gentle with my nails and they've never turned out crooked. I've broken my nails once and gone for repairs and they were so sweet about fixing them! They are seriously awesome, I wish I could give them 10 stars. read more

The staff were really nice. I got the seaweed pedicure and manicure ($45). Even though there was a language barrier, the staff did their very best to greet and help their customers. The pedicure and manicure was relaxing and my toes felt very clean. The salon was well placed and clean, you can tell they keep their tools and machines clean. Is there a lesser rating? Pictures are worth a thousand words. Tina is apparently the top nail tech but today she was the worst. I came in for a dip. Been here for years. She only buffed a portion of the polish off and proceed to put polish on top of the old red polish. I told her no! I do not want that. I want the full manicure treatment with clean fresh nails and polish. She was reluctant and had an attitude. Told me it would be ok. But I insisted to remove the old polish. She took off the polish and used her nails to push back my cuticles. Next, she put on the polished. She never said anything to my disappointment until I addressed the owner. I told her to cease talking to me because she had an hour to address my concerns and chose not to do so ; Therefore, excuse herself from my conversation. It's horrible to treat people as if they don't deserve the FULL treatment for which they are paying. The first impression is "an angry black woman". Well In this case I was, because I was being pushed to receive trashy service which wasn't going to happen. No other race in that shop was denied, nail tools, buffering, or having their polish removed (saying the color wasn't going to be seen anyway) WTH. Tina never apologized. The owner apologized. Others apologized. As I told the owner, Tina is a human worker, not Jesus! She's fallible. Mistakes happen. She needs to Own it. Hell machines falter, and humans even repair them. She won't even apologize she's so arrogant on her talent!! Tina, you're only as good as each satisfied patron, not the person you see in the mirror. Get over yourself and remember you SERVE PEOPLE NOT YOURSELF. I PAID MY FULL BILL AND LEFT PISSED. IVE NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE BEFORE AT LUXURY. hope it's the last. She went off and told other customers stuff about the situation while she was trying to "resolve" the issue which she really wasn't doing. I had high hopes for this place because it's so nice and someone recommended it to me however I was disappointed. I came in wanting dip nails and was told they would be $40 but acrylic would be $30. Once I sat down the technician said that he couldn't so dip nails because they wouldn't be strong enough? I wasn't really sure what he meant and I tried to get more clarification (very politely, multiple times) without a clear answer. I stated multiple times that I wanted thin natural looking nails so that as long as he could do that, it would be fine and he would do acrylic. Then I showed him the shape I wanted (coffin) and he seemed visibly irritatedas he has already started cutting my tips. He said coffin wouldn't look good for his short but kept cutting them. I asked him if I should then forego the coffin shape because I wanted to make sure it would look good. He would not give me an answer until I asked 2 more times and he said no it will be fine. In the end, my nails are not thin (very thick actually) and not natural looking. Additionally, when I paid I was told my total was $45. I was confused because I was expecting to pay $30. I was told that I had gotten colored powder (I was no aware of this) and that coffin nails were an extra $5. I am not familiar with acrylics or tips or dip nails or any of it, which is why I asked, attempted to clarify and eventually trusted the tech. I was not told coffin nails would be extra. I feel taken advantage of and very disappointed. Prices and add ons should be discussed with the customer before they are done. read more

Every experience I've had included at least one employee acting nonchalant when asking what I want them to do, giving me attitude about the color(s) or design I want on my nails and I always leave with an injury to one or MORE of my cuticles because their buffer gets too close and I end up needing a band-aid! First time getting my lashes done has been a disaster! My eyes almost immediately got puffy and after 24hrs they're infected! I've had lashes done in other places before and THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED!!! Last LAST LAST time I'm going to this place and it makes me sick to think I wasted $70 for these eyelashes that I had to pull off less than 48hours later (that they claimed would last 3 weeks)!!! I would rate 0 stars if the option was available!! Worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. My husband had purchased a $100 gift card for me and I called in to tell them I misplaced it and asked if they had any way of looking up my gift certificate and I was told yes. She then asked if I wanted to book an appointment, so I went ahead and booked one for the next day. When I went in, I asked for the same woman I had spoken with previously and let her know that I was the one who called about my gift certificate that I had lost. She said yes, that it was fine so I go ahead and get my full set of nails and my pedicure. After I go up and I set my cash tip on the counter and she asks for my payment. I tell her AGAIN I need her to look up my gift card which is why I called and then she proceeds to say how she "misunderstood" and needs my gift card in person and that I can go home and look for it and they will refund me if I find it but I have to pay now. They have no record of gift certificates by name and only dates and how much they were sold for. I showed her my bank statement where my husband had purchased it and a picture I had taken of the original gift certificate (for Instagram lol). All in all, she argued with me for a half hour before accepting my gift certificate. If they would have told me from the very first time I called that there was nothing they could do, that would have been okay. But when I called and asked about it and mentioned it first thing at my appointment and was told it was okay, then later told the opposite? Terrible business etiquette!! read more

I drove by two good nail salons last Friday night and they were packed. When I drove by Luxury it didn't look busy so I decided to go in. Big mistake! It was hot and they didn't have all the lights on. The tech rushed through both my pedicure and polish change. Since the lights were dim, I couldn't tell that she cracked one of my overlays with a drill when she buffed my nails before she changed my polish. She was sloppy and lacked precision. The tech wasn't outwardly rude, but I feel like I was ripped off. We work too hard for our money and I will NEVER go here again!!! read more

i have mixed reviews abt this place as a first-time visitor from out of town. the older lady at the front counter who initially helped me and started my service was great, but failed to give me her name. she was very attentive and helpful. however, the next lady who finished my service, amy, was not as good and actually messed up when applying the color i chose, but wouldn't admit to it. instead i ended up with five layers of polish on a set of nails that were less than what i expected (shape, color, thickness). while attempting to correct the error without telling me what she had done, she also left residue around my cuticles. it's a powdery substance that changes the color to a chrome finish, and it's still on my cuticles four days later! i just wish that she had been more honest and corrected this properly. this thick polish is annoying, and the color still isn't exactly what i chose. sigh... read more
