Price gouging for sure! I have two sores on two fingers on my right hand due to using the filer and beating down my nail and fingers. As well as trying to yank off the broken portion of the nail. I needed one repair on my pointer finger and the nail is as flat as a board there's no shape, no curve to it. The staff was very nice though I will not return there for more than one reason. I had acrylics with gel polish and one nail repair and was charged $45, my friend that I was with received acrylic with gel polish and a design on her nail and it was $40 so the balance in what they were charging was clearly wrong and they were just trying to make up for themselves because they're probably struggling with covid just as I am which is why I do not appreciate being gouged the way that I was I will go to another salon where they will be more gentle with my hands and the price of the service. read more

Beware of Hidden Charges and Unsanitary Practices I've given this place three chances now, hoping things would improve, but today was the last straw. Each visit, I go in asking for a basic pedicure with gel -- nothing fancy. In my head, I'm expecting to pay maybe $50-$55 max, understanding that gel costs a bit more. But every single time, I somehow end up paying close to $100. This time was no different. I politely asked for a basic pedicure, and the tech immediately gave me a look of annoyance. They made me wait quite a while before even starting. Once they finally began, they removed my nail polish and trimmed my nails, but didn't bother removing any dead skin around my toes -- which is basic pedicure 101. When it came to the callus treatment, it felt like they were barely even touching my feet -- more like petting than scrubbing. I let it slide and figured I'd just get in and out. Toward the end, I asked if I could also get a quick manicure, and they agreed. The woman doing it was actually doing a good job -- she cleaned up around my nails, polished them well, added wax, and gave a nice hand massage. But again -- I never asked for any extras, no deluxe anything, no special add-ons. Then came the bill. $95. Absolutely insane. No clear breakdown of charges, no price list available -- and I noticed they've taken down their price board completely. Probably because more and more people are catching on to their shady pricing tactics. When I asked to see a price list, they couldn't (or wouldn't) provide one. I truly believe they're adding charges for services you didn't ask for, and banking on you not speaking up. And honestly -- if the place was sparkling clean and professional, maybe it would be worth the premium. But they reuse tools without sanitizing them, which I personally witnessed. That is not only unprofessional -- it's a health risk. Bottom line: This place is overpriced, unsanitary, and dishonest with their pricing. My pedicure was soo painful, the drill caught my skin multiple times, my eyes teared up from pain. They spent more time massaging than an actual pedicure service, obviously nobody doesn't like a massage but that's not what I'm paying for. I had went in for a gel fill along with a pedicure treatment. The first lady tried too up sale me the Spa treatment for $150.. I told her no I just wanted the spa treatment with the hot wax etc. She then started massaging my neck and shoulders( never had this done or asked for it plus she asked me too unbutten my shirt more so she could massage my neck better) I wasn't sure if that was part of the spa pac. Then 2 more lady's came over one on my feet the other doing my hands.The one massaging kept talking in their language ( I was the only customer in there then). Next thing I know the one massaging me stopped and a man came over too finish my nails. At this timeI all 3 of the women started talking again in their language. and looking at my Breast. Next thing I know the one doing my feet stands up and touches my Breast 3 times and squeesrs the left one saying I wish I had those. I've never felt so violated. Not only that she cut me my toe was bleeding and they use the rasor blades too take dead off your feet. This ended up costing me $135. This place looks nice but something Fishy is going on there. Do not come here genuinely the worst experience I have ever had at a salon. They electric filed my toe nails so much that multiple layers of skin came off and were stinging the whole time my cuticle was also cut too deep and bled. My finger nails were filed down so harshly that at least 6 have multiple cuts. I had also been growing out my nails and had them very long and healthy, I asked for a coffin shape and they were cut down all the way without asking and used the wrong color. On top of that the up charge was absolutely insane! When massaging and exfoliating my legs the woman blew out the tea light and threw the hot wax on my legs immediately, which obviously burned me. There was also a cockroach spotted and you would think with how much effort went into the interior the service would've good but no. My polish was rushed and looks very poor and my manicure is not even close to what I asked for and looks horrendous. WILL NEVER RETURN. Probably the worst nail service experience I have ever had in my life. I have lived in several states in my life and been to many nail salons, Luxury nails in Tacoma, I would rate poorly. I tried giving them a second chance because my first experience was so bad. I am one to understand off days, low staff, etc., and thought maybe one of which had been the case during my first visit. I attempted a second visit...dip manicure. The woman treating me was so rough and sloppy. Throwing my hands around and filing my nails so poor. I had to tell her several times to "slow down and pay attention"...she was getting side tracked and looking at other work going on beside us...the grinder was running off my nail onto my skin, causing abrasions and bleeding. I finally said, "You need to be careful! Slow down and please pay attention, please" She was so rushed, stressed and distracted, the filing and shape she did on my nails were so poorly done. It looked absolutely awful...uneven...lopsided? She kept leaving me every 10 minutes to jump into another chair and work on someone else... Clearly a low staffing issue as well. In this case, they should either turn customers away or tell them to come back at a certain time to be able to properly manage and serve customers appropriately and thoroughly. The work done on my hands was rushed yet took an exhaustive amount of time to complete. At one point, I grabbed the nail file myself and made efforts to file my own nails to correct the mistakes and unevenness of my nails she had done.. Very rough, sloppy, throwing my hands around very aggressively. This angered me to be quite honest. I know my body language was showcasing my displeasure. It was unpleasant. I had to turn down the "complimentary" massage because it was so awful. Just rubbing up and down on my arm? That's not a massage... it's just weird. I got my nails done 1/4/26 around 3pm, charged 70$. Around 8pm my nail popped off while washing dishes. I went back in 1/5/26 at 9:03am was immediately met with attitude after telling them the situation and being told I need to come another day because they appointments. I let them know this wasn't possible for me and I just got them done yesterday? A lady reluctantly sat down and started to fix the nail, she applied the acrylic so thing the nail could bend!! They advertise one price but once you become an established customer they raise the prices by over 50%. They push massages on you, even when you say no, but then charge extra for the service. This is not noted anywhere. But just added to your bill. They use tea lights for wax, which they light when you come in and then use on your legs. I've driven past this nail salon plenty of times and never gave it a second look until recently when my sister saw a sign outside saying full set $22 and fill in $15, which I thought and knew was too good to be true but... We walked in with no appointment for a fill in on my sisters nails. She had an inspiration picture (brown nails with French tip on two fingers) on her already medium length almond shaped nails. I knew to ask for a price before they started based on reviews (first red flag) but she's headed back home tomorrow morning and wanted her nails done before she left. The ladies spoke in length and came up with a price, $45. I asked if a fill is $15 where is the other $30 coming from and she replied "based on length and gel color"... I conceded because I didn't have time to go shop to shop looking for better prices. About 10 minutes into being there the lady doing my sisters nails swaps places with her other employee and does another customers nails and a third lady comes over to me asking if I want my nails done, to which I say no and then offers a massage as if it's complimentary, which it's not. I decline the massage and she goes to my sister and says "I massage you," my sister being naive says ok and then the lady starts and says "I charge you $10 for massage". $10 isn't a big deal at the end of the day but it's the pushiness and insistence that they put upon you. You walk into a nail salon and the last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable and obligated to say yes to add ons or additional services in fear they'll purposely give little effort to what you're actually there for. So she's getting her nails done and getting a massage and the ladies are getting too friendly... telling her how pretty she is, asking how old, where's she from, where we live, etc. I put a stop to it because it felt overly invasive and wasn't just normal small talk. They continued complimenting her clothes, makeup, jewelry while speaking in their native language in between. Between the three ladies she interacted with, they all at some point took it upon themselves to touch/play with her hair when there was absolutely no need to. I've been to many nail salons over the years and never felt as uncomfortable as I did here and my sister agreed she felt the same after the fact, when she should've spoken up in the moment. Personally, I don't recommend this business based on their pushiness and overly personal demeanor. Not everyone is comfortable with you being in the personal business or space and I don't believe these ladies know how to take no for an answer. I showed her the receipt she gave for the prepaid service AND showed her the visa bank statement showing the transaction made to her business. Absolutely ridiculous. I went in for a basic pedicure and french set. Sign outside says $22 for a full set, $25 for a spa pedicure. The signs inside says "$35 for pink and white" (french tip). They did the pedicure, and asked me what color, and then did it in gel. I was very clear that I wanted the $22 pedicure. Then, when they started my nails, the lady came up from behind and gave me a massage. Didn't ask, just started doing it. $115 total. For a botched pedicure and the most BASIC nails. this is my second time in the Washington area due to me getting ready to attend college this fall. Well me and my cousin decided to make a quick stop to go get my nails done just for some fun. Well when we got there I guess they were having a party because there was a lot of food and durian as well as some of the people setting something up. I didn't think too much of it at first but they tried get me to do a ManiPedi. Outside it said $22 for a full set and I only wanted that. Well they seated me and i waited about 15 or so minutes before someone came over just to give me my color. By the time they started the women randomly cut my nails crooked and filled down my nails which was painful! She left and then another women walked over and to apply the nails as well as fill them down and it hurt so much... I was getting a little aggravated but let them do it. As a THIRD women walked over and started applying the monomer to my nails they started to do karaoke. Very loud karaoke. They sung and it was so loud and uncomfortable as I was sitting right next to them. We were already here for almost 40 minutes by this time. When she got done putting the layer on someone's else walked up and began to do my nails. The filing was painful and each time I winced or tried to move my hand they were like I needed to relax. Should've read reviews before going in... Not unhappy with my set as they are short and one solid color and the tech did awesome in making them "thin". I didn't care for the relatively small assortment of dipping powders and when asking for more choices the staff did not understand me and kept offering the same colors... there is a definite language barrier which is fine, but I think they use this to not be upfront about pricing and services. While one tech started working on my nails another asked if I wanted a massage. I said no and they said "don't worry you just relax and get massage." So I thought it was complimentary. Not only was it an extra 10 dlls but it was the most lackluster uncomfortable neck and back massage I've ever received. I had to eventually tell her to stop once I noticed her wipe her runny nose bare handed and then proceed to try and continue rubbing my neck.... I also have issue with the "grand opening" signage stating 22 dollar sets, which is why I went in and what I requested. I was never told taking the gel off was an additional price, parrafin was added without being asked if I wanted it so I thought it was part of the service... On top of them tipping them selves 10 from what they guy worker said when I went to tip with cash not sure if that was just for me as my nails tend to be extra (not done at nail shop). I left out in tears from the rushed service I am asking for stuff and saying no to other services (ie:massage) the lady went in on a nail removal with a drill and that bad boy had my finger hot I had to stop her. I went in with my mom today and the nail technician cut my elderly mom's big toe and profusely bled because she was rushing . The nail technician apologized and tried to half-heartedly perform first aid. However, she just wanted to get things done even the toe was still bleeding, I had to tell her to stop the bleeding first. I was worried about infection because they didn't have a disposable spa pedicure liner. Also, I am not sure they sanitize the pedicure tools because she used the same set on me and my mom. On Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at about 4:30pm I dropped in to Luxury Nails on Center Street for a pedicure. My first and last time. I got an older lady with glasses who didn't speak any English and she did a hurting on me. Every time I would flinch, she would just look up and giggle. It was a most unpleasant experience and I will not be going back. Because I only go in to nail salons for a regular manicure or pedicure, I always get the worst employee.
