This place could have been great, but once again, it's a salon that gets stressed when they are short staffed and instead of telling people that they will have a bit of a wait, they rush everyone through their service. We were supposed to have a 40 minute pedicure that included a 10 minute hot stone massage and a 50 minute manicure, but the pedicure was at best 20 minutes and the massage was only five, my husband didn't even get the hot stone part of his massage. And my manicure took all of 20 minutes, too. Worst part, my polish looks horrible. I'm going to have to go have it redone. It's sad that they don't understand that people do this not only to get nice looking nails, but also for the experience and relaxation. Totally disappointed!!! read more

Luxury Nails - They charge $25 for a regular manicure and do a horrible job! - Nail Salons Near Me - Nottingham, Maryland

This is my third time there and I remembered why I hate this place. They don't do a good job. The Asian ladies are rude. They are snippy and do eye rolls when you ask for a shorter nail or design or a redo. They talk and laugh in their own language right in front of you - very obvious about the customers. They are just rude in general. Also raised prices for a basic manicure to $25. read more

This is the worst salon. I've been here several times because of the location. The techs are rude, dismissive and rough. It is NOT worth the money. I will never come here again and will tell others not to come either. read more

Quality salon with exceptional technicians that know how to treat the customers. They use plastic in the foot basins, which is more sanitary than just washing the foot basins with water and cleaners. The use of the rocks for the leg massages felt soooo good! read more

They got me and my friend in for 2 pedi's last minute, the front desk girl was super nice and kind and made us feel welcomed. The store itself was beautiful and clean - however the stylist who did my pedicure made my experience awkward and not relaxing from the moment i sat into the chair. The water was boiling hot to the point i couldn't even dip my feet in at first - he did cool it down, but as soon as he saw my toes he started making jokes about my paint job. (Please be mindful, i dont spend the money on my feet ever - i am a full time student and money is tight, i make due with what i got ... so this was the one time i wanted to treat myself and relax) He asked me 3 times, in a sarcastic job "who painted your feet - what salon do you go to - did you do this in the dark". At first it was a laugh, but after the 5th comment - i started to get offensive as everyone in the salon (which was busy for pedis) were laughing and looking at me. He made multiple more comments after, and finally at the end he said "you know the head units they have with the flash lights that you can turn on.. maybe you should get yourself one for the next time you do your toes"... That is not good costumer service, and it made my whole experience feel awkward. i was not comfortable at all. Come to find out, hes only been there 2 weeks after leaving the nail place in the mall. I will not come back ever again, simply because of one person. Horrible. He did a good job, and i tipped him appropriately but his sarcastic comments basically making fun of me, never again. read more

Frustrating experience with this place. Called earlier and made appointments, which just meant that they got us in the door to sit and wait for 40 minutes (still sitting here waiting). Used to really like this place, won't be coming back. read more

My nail technician Ania is wonderful. My problem is the music they play. I feel like I am in a funeral home!! Please change the music to something more upbeat and happy. I feel sad and depressed when I am there. read more

Had a good experience at Luxury nails. I went in this morning around 9am on a Thursday and was surprised that there were a good amount of ppl in there. The service was quick and efficient. The technician was sweet and attentive. I plan on revisiting. read more

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY I just got my nails done yesterday for them to look like I've had them done for weeks. My gel nails do not go back to my cuticles, the shaping is way off, I have glue everywhere, the gems are not lined up, and more. I contacted the store manager sent pictures to an employee there for them to reply "Oh my..." then i contacted the manager for her to keep cutting me off and saying nothing is wrong with them. After 10 minutes of her and I going back and forth she hung up on me. She then called me back to tell me if I don't come today they will not do anything for me because it will be customer use. How can something be customer use when I sent pictures the day after? People have jobs! I paid $65 for a mess I wish I could give them NEGATIVE STARS. The people who gave them high stars have clearly never been to a good salon. read more

I recently got my nails done yesterday and the girl who did my nails did a terrible job. My friends have recently gotten their nails done here as well and they received the same crappy service. I really do not recommend this place. read more

The establishment is beautiful and very quiet unlike many other salons. The majority of the staff seemed professional and skilled. The girl at the front desk was somewhat pleasant, although one could assume her daddy owns the salon by the way she talked down to a tech for not bringing over all gel options to the station in front of me. While my tech was very friendly, I did have to get my nails refilled, shaped, AND polished the next day elsewhere. They were uneven, thick, and the gel was globbed on so much that it lifted. Perhaps he wasn't fully trained? I recommend the salon, but make sure your tech is a female. read more

Horrible nails! Paid $60 for a French manicure. My bottoms are literally purple and my white tips are nowhere even!

If you haven't had a Peppermint spa pedicure by Tina, you haven't lived, I can assure you. Hands down the BEST pedicure I have ever had. Do yourself a favor, set aside an hour and get the peppermint pedicure with Tina. Also, if you can get the paraffin dip on your hands while you get the pedi, do it! I was able to completely unplug and relax while she worked her magic! I will ONLY be coming to Tina! read more

Second worst gel manicure I've ever had. My friend and I almost walked out after waiting for over 30 minutes when we were told the wait was 10-15. Probably spent 35-40 mins waiting total for a manicure that was less than 20. The only reason we even stayed was because the receptionist practically begged us not to leave, promised we were next, and assured us it would only be 5 more minutes. The technician raced through everything...not even waiting for my nails to dry! After I complained to the receptionist, she said, "yeah, a lot of times I have to tell them to slow down." Left with a very sloppy, rushed manicure...I will never come back here!!! read more

I love this place! Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. They make you feel at home.

Without question, the worst manicure I've ever received. I came here with my mother and sister. I won't go into how they seemed surprised that the three of us showed up at once, despite the fact that I made an appointment for the three of us. Or how they initially showed us to the pedicure area, despite the fact that again, the appointment was for manicures, and we said, 'manicures,' when we arrived. Let me talk about the manicure. So my mother sat down first, followed 3-5 minutes later by my sister, then a full 5 minutes later by me. A woman named Vi was doing my manicure. She seemed distracted, rushed, and on auto-pilot. I asked her to not cut my cuticles, and she replied she would 'just clean them up.' While she filed my nails, she didn't shape them, she just ran a file back and forth a couple of times on each nail. She was quick, and all I could do was hope for the best. So, I was the first finished out of the 3 of us (a bad sign). As I sat and waited for the others, I looked at my nails. Three of my fingers had the cuticles clipped at the base of the nail (the healthy part). Most of my right hand had dead cuticle still present at the side of the nails. There was polish that extended onto the cuticle on several of my fingers. The nails are all different shapes; Some are straight, some are oval, some are lopsided. I commented to my mother that I could have done a better job myself... in the dark... with my left hand. The pros: The equipment was clean. A sterile pack of tools was opened for each client. Some of the staff seemed friendly. The cons: The salon smelled awful. An overpowering smell of acetone or some other chemical hits you when you walk in. Also, see above. read more

High Price, Low Quality. Paid $60 for full set gel +tip. Nails were different shapes and lenghths, which was already a bad sign. Within a week, 3 nails fell off. Waited over an hour and paid $5 to 'repair' each nail even though they fell off from cheap glue. Woke up this morning and another nail in my bed! Save your money..You'll have better luck with Lee Press-on Nails! read more

I have given this salon a few tries... not sure why I keep giving them a chance. I felt that I finally needed to give them a review. I came in for a pedicure and a fill-in. 1. The pedicure I received was more than sub-par. The toenails were cut uneven and never shaped (barely filed), cuticles were never pushed back and very little clean up trim done. She pulled the color wrong (which I had her correct) and grabbed the file to do my own toe nails as they were so sharp and uneven. 2. After the pedicure I was told it would be a just moment for my nails... 20 minutes later I was still waiting. I was never told there would be a wait when taking my appointment. After 25 minutes, I got up and proceeded to the checkout desk to pay for the pedicure and tell them "no thanks" on the fill in. I was basically told it was my fault as I got the callous removal done for my feet (takes a few more minutes) so they took someone in front of me for a fill in. This is not OK. I should have been told before taking the appointment as I would have just gone somewhere else. That was the last chance I am giving them... never going back. read more

I have been going to this place for a few months now, I do not set up an appointment , I usually would just walk in and get anyone who's free, my past experiences have been okay until today- first the 2 colors that I picked were both out and the third option did not even come close to what was pictured in the catalog. The staff doing my nail I think may have forgotten that the hands she's working on is attached to a person - the way she twisted and bent and pulled on my hands was unacceptable but I didn't say anything and just prayed for the whole ordeal to be over . I did let her know at the end that I was beyond disappointed- would have been okay with the torture I received if outcome was good, but it was not .2 stars was a generous rating for my experience today. Other days have been good- I still would come back but I would definitely refuse if the same person would be doing my nails next time. read more

I came in today on a weekday afternoon and luckily for me, the place was empty. I got a full set acrylic nail manicure and couldn't be more pleased with the results. Vi was my manicurist and she was quiet and focused on her work, which suited me just fine. She did a perfect job filing and shaping my nails and applying the simple design I wanted. She also kept me informed of the pricing of everything before she did anything. I don't often get my nails done but when I do, I'll be back to this salon! read more

Luxury Nails - full set with polish and simple design by Vi - Nail Salons Near Me - Nottingham, Maryland

I walked in and they were all just talking to each other claiming that they're booked for the evening. Liars!

Was there today for a first visit with my sister for pedicures & manicures. Asked for an evening appointment upon calling in, they said to come in at 6 PM. Got there early for our appointments. No sense of sanitation or cleanliness; didn't wipe down seats at either manicure or pedicure station after previous customer. Upon doing the manicures, 3 different nail techs switched on my set and 4 different techs on my sisters; as they were rushed to go home and being harshly abrupt with no attention to detail or comfort. Why give an appointment at a late time if you're going to rush through the customers? Charged us extra to cut our cuticles during manicures; how is this not included? Service was beyond dissatisfaction. We spent more than $200. Service was very very poor. Weren't even finished our manicures when they rushed us to pay. And to top it off my toe nail-polish is already coming off. Definitely will not be patronizing again!! Avoid the waste of time! read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star. They are overpriced for the work they do. They also clearly laugh and talk about you in their language. Which is not okay. I've been here once before and service was okay. Only came because I was in a crunch. Same situation with this occasion(they stay open later than most nail salons). The guy was very smug with everything. I actually walked out while beginning service because of the rudeness and overpricing. read more

I had a really good experience here. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Although my nail tech didn't speak much english, she was very pleasent and smiling. I will go back again. read more

Great place. Nice and quiet ... We got in very quickly even though there was a wait. It's clean and relaxing. All the staff was very friendly and did a great job! Prices were about the same as any other place we go to. Service was just by far the best! Will be back! read more

Nice salon, but nothing super special. Just go with the normal mani pedi, the extras are not worth it. Good job on the basic pedicure. However, they must thin out their nail polish. They were chipping two days later. Great for the basics, but if you're looking for something on the special side go elsewhere. read more

Awful. I got a regular polish manicure. I left with nails half painted and polish all over my hands and under my nails. I'm so far beyond disappointed. Words can't even express it. It was honestly just a mess. read more

If you make an appointment with a specific tech, be sure to check up on it. I showed up for my appointment and was told the tech wasn't in and I was offered another tech. If I wanted someone else I would have made an appointment with anyone. An apology isn't sufficient when I took the time to drive to the salon. Shame on them for letting me walk out unhappy. read more

Terrible service. Felt rushed the entire time then spent 55$ for the worst pedicure ever. Never to return.

Awesome place! After searching for so long since moving here, I would definitely claim this is my new favorite nail salon. Great ambience and decor...only annoyance was how close you are seated to other patrons yet there are at least 10 more open stations. Ask for Ashley! :) read more

Absolutely the worse! Front desk girl is very rude! They put me with someone who don't know how to do gel mani with overlay. And I still ended up allowing her to do my pedicure, the polish application was horrible! Smh! Never again. Wasted my money! Steuupes!!! read more

This is the second time I visited so the salon. The first time I thought was OK until all the clearcoating started coming off and had to go have them fix it. Last night I tried again and asked for a pink and white fill. After I left I took a closer look at the receipt and saw they charged me à la cart for everything . And didn't tell me before or during. $45, and $3 for cutting nails shorter, $5 for putting lotion on hands after, $5 repair meaning she had to cut some acrylic off one that was lifting, and another $3 for something I don't know. I've been getting pink/white fills for 10-15 years and never been charged for these things. They are included with a fill and especially when it's $45. Do not go here! They rip you off, and without saying a thing! Rediculous! read more

The salon is really nice and Vi is amazing! Not a fan of the avenue because of the parking situation, but the quality of service totally makes up for it. Vi does beautiful work and gives foot massages that put me to sleep. Another bonus... You can leave a tip on your credit card so you don't have to have cash. read more

Came in for my usual fill in today and everyone seems to be new! Not one person that I recognize or that knows me. The person doing my nails as I type this is pulling and tugging on my hand and not being very gentle at all. I have always had great service at this salon, but not today. read more

This was my first time here. Came in as a walk in. Sunny did my pedicure. She did a great job overall. The only thing was at the end which I didn't notice until my nails were all dry and I was already home that the top clear coat wasn't polished on evenly. There are definitely a lot of pedicure chairs so they could accommodate lots of customers without having them wait too long. read more

The place stinks! Couldn't stand the smell when we walked in. It was cluttered and dirty with bad attitudes all around. When we sat down for our pedicure, I knew it wasn't going to go well. I had the older man and he cut my nails and didn't even file them or get all the old polish off. When I asked him to file them, they were still crooked. I got up and we walked out and went to NV Nail Up & Spa instead (WAY BETTER!!) read more

I say in a jiffy just ok, I spent what I considered a good amount of money for a pedicure and it was average. The massage was great, but the water was not hot and she didn't do that great on painting my toe nails. The only reason I came here was they are open on a Sunday and its starting to get warm outside and I want to wear open toe shoes. Hope this helps. read more
