It's been almost 2 weeks since we visited and I find myself still annoyed with the place, oh brother lol. I chose not to give a two star rating because I don't want it to have a negative impact on their ratings during Covid. Let's start with the Pros: Protection guards, masks, enforced rules were in place. Decent color selection. Cons: Little difference in service for pedi package prices and they double book to ensure they get paying customers. How do I know? We called and made an appointment literally 15 min before coming and was told "ok". We arrived on time... and didn't get our service at the agreed time. We've all been there, they'll say "no problem, five more minutes." "Almost done, ten more minutes". Ugh, why not be honest so Im not wasting my time. They bought time by having us soak our feets...for 45 minutes! Long story short, I accepted the fact I was lied to, was calm and began grabbing my things to leave. That's when someone showed up to apologize. In the end, we got a 10 min quick express pedi because I had another appointment to get to and was charged $30 and $35 for the hubby. I got a "$5 discount for my troubles". (Eye roll). The male technician scraped my husband's ankles with the exfoliater (open skin stinging feeling) and my gal did a 2 stroke file for each nail and after a few snips here, polished my toe nails that was a level above poor. read more

I am visiting Newberg from out of town, and feel lucky to have found this nail salon. The owner is clearly an expert, and I appreciated how much he cared about my nails even though I don't even live around here. I picked out a very light, natural color, and he thoughtfully showed me how light it was and double checked that it was what I wanted (it was). He carefully tended to my nails and offered me advice for taking care of them going forward. I wish I lived closer and could come here more often. read more

John made sure I got the exact nail shape I wanted. Clean. Appointment started promptly. Need to bring cash for tips. Price was well worth it for the time taken and the quality of my mani pedi. While there I saw a variety of people: mother daughter pair, grandfather granddaughter, and husband wife. Luxury Nails is the place to go for anyone's nail needs! Tip: Bring your own file or buy a file, buffer, scrubber packet for $2 that you can bring back for future visits. I'd never been somewhere that asks you to provide supplies before. After going to Lovely Nails across the street next to Safeway, and continuously having lifts after only one or two days, it was a no-brainer to go to Luxury Nails and have beautiful nails, compliments all the time. I've also been to four seasons in Sherwood, many times, I can never manage to get the same Nail Tech, so it is very difficult to get beautiful nails all the time. read more

Relaxing, great work, very friendly, clean environment - great experience. I came in stressed out with no appointment. Although they were busy, they were able to fit me in for a pedicure, and Vi set me up in a message chair, making sure to pick one that fit my height. (Didn't even know that was a thing!) She was super nice and did a great job. I asked if I could also get a manicure, and Kevin said he'd fit me in. Turns out that meant he would still be working on my nails after they closed, but he said it was no problem and was careful and attentive the whole time - staying later to do it. He did an AMAZING job and was delightful! Turned my whole day around. I've gotten several compliments on how great my ombré tip nails are since I got them five days ago. Avoid this nail place at all costs. The man who removed my acrylic nails injured me horribly. When I asked him to soak my nails in order to remove them, he claimed it "would take too long" and that if anyone told me that "removing acrylics should be painless, they're lying". He continued to rip them off one by one. I wish I would have walked out without paying. I wish I could get this place shut down. No one deserves that. Avoid at all costs. I have come into this shop twice. The first time around I was on a morning walk with my daughter and decided to stop in and see if I could get a quick pedicure as a walk in, the male (I believe owner or manager) asked me to come back in an hour, when I returned they were still not ready for me and I had other errands so I just decided another day. Next visit I made two appointments for pedicures at 3:00p for myself and my sister. We came in around 3:10 and were turned away because he (same rude ass) had other appointments at 3:30 and there was no time for us. I know well and good that it does not take 30minutes to do a pedicure, more like 45 and even if that were the case we were only 10 minutes behind. Also there was one customer in the shop at the time and 3 ladies clearly available just sitting there. Worst shellac EVER!!! I got a pedi first and that was actually really nice. It includes a paraffin dip after the paint dries and the leg massage is invigorating. But the shellac SUCKED. My nails weren't filed well, leaving frayed jagged edges. He shellac-ed over most of my cuticle. But most importantly, the shellac, which is SUPPOSED TO LAST for DAYS w/o chipping was cracking before the end of the day. By day 2 there were significant crackling across the tips (french tips). And today it's COMPLETELY chipping off at the tips. I would normally NOT write a bad yelp, I would revisit the salon and have the problem remedied. I was only in town as the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. Thus we weren't afforded the time to have this redone. Ultimately, if I wanted to have a paint job that would chip like this, I wouldn't have shelled out the extra dough for shellac. Last word: DON'T GO HERE FOR SHELLAC!. But if you must, watch like a hawk or plan on needing to go back. read more

I am seriously picky about who does my nails. I stuck with my last salon for over 9 yrs. But I moved to Newberg & needed to find a new salon. After a few disappointments, I found Luxury Nails. They do my nails exactly the way I want. They listen to me when I want to do things differently. They are super polite and friendly. I have not once been nicked, cut, or burned. My acrylics never crack, flake, or come off. The polish does not peel or chip. I have been with them now for more than a year and unless they up and move out of Newberg for some reason I'll keep going. I am very, very happy with them. 10/10 Highly recommend! read more

I don't get mani/pedis on a regular basis, I usually do my own, but my daughter and I wanted to get our toes done, so we came in here on a whim. The wait was only 15 mins, they had about 5 or so people working here. The massage chairs were great, they made sure the water temp was comfortable too. My daughter had a great time for her "first" pedi, and our nails looked great! The service is friendly, but not big on conversation. I went in with a coupon in my hand. I ended up getting the end of my tiny toe sanded down and it bleed. They were very rough when it came to sanding the sides bottom of the feet. Barely clipped my toenails. Then I got a manicure, asked if I wanted round or square I said round but ended up with square nails. Over all long toenails, one hurt toe, square fingernails. When you say that you don't do acrylics but you do Solar nails to a customer and then they ask you if it's the UV gel nails you say yes, you knowing that Solar nails is just an expensive brand of acrylic, the customer is not wrong. It is not the customers job to know the difference, because if you want people to spend their money with you they have to trust you. It's the nail techs job to make sure the customer knows what your selling them. If it means anything I did not pay for the many nail repairs that I needed, lol 45 bucks and they didn't even stay on a full 2 days. I am clarifying this because the owner contacted me making a big deal about it. That's like a mechanic telling you to give him credit for not charging you to fix your car every time it broke down because it wasn't fixed right the first time. Lol, I don't argue with people, so I disregarded both of his angry messages. Soooooo, Solar nails is just a very expensive brand of acrylics, another thing he was kicking and screaming about lol. So when you ask him if he does acrylics and he says no, just know he really does do acrylics lol. Customers beware. **** I wanted to believe in this place so bad. If there's anything I miss about my hometown are the readily available talented and qualified nail techs. I was supposedly getting "Gel Nails" turned out I was paying $45 dollars for the full set. Plus whatever top coat lol. To then find out I was getting acrylic nails. They didn't even last a week, I was coming in for nail repairs every week until I got tired of it. I called my old nail tech and he gave me the run down on real gel nails and how I was getting robbed pretty much. I have been in twice and have had the same technician both times with very different results. I doubt I will return after the last very rushed manicure and pedicure. I was in and out in 45 minutes. Pedicure started off with what felt like scalding foot soaking water and finished up with an uneven coat of polish. I pointed out that I thought I needed more as it was not covering the nails on my big toes and the tech put more clear on which still left me with uneven polish. My manicure was done at warp speed and now 4 days later I'm looking at seriously chipped nails. Not enough polish. The rates are fair and I do tip well but I prefer to actually give the tip instead of having the technician help themselves to my change when I pay in cash. The total service was 37.00. I gave the tech 60.00 and asked for change on the extra 20.00. I was hastily handed only a 10.00 bill and watched the rest of my change go into a pocket as the tech walked to the next client. This service was not worth a 35% tip. And to top it off, I didn't feel that the salon stations was properly sanitized between clients. read more

I went in for the first time today and had a wonderful experience. I got to enjoy one of the massage chairs while I waited for a nail technician to became available. And the TV was tuned to Food Network! The technician gave me a great pedicure. She was gentle, but did a thorough job scrubbing and rubbing. Really nice foot and leg rub. The place was clean, small but comfortable. It felt like someone's living room. read more

I usually never write bad reviews, because I know people are always trying to do their best, especially in a time like now, but that's how bad my experience was. I went in and there was only 1 person getting a manicure (4pm on a Tuesday), and I asked if I could get a nail fixed (a single nail) and all I got in response was "I don't have time". No eye contact, no asking if I wanted to schedule for any other day, basically no human interaction at all. Made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, just rude and a lack of care for customers. Do not recommend if you are hoping for a kind / caring staff. read more

Luxury Nails is my go-to nail shop. I personally have never had a bad experience with Kevin as many other reviewers have. The other two gals who always do my pedis and shellac manis are friendly and always do a great job. I always thought my cuticles bled and it was just me but I have never been cut or nicked here. They have great colors to choose from. And best part is that it doesn't stink of fumes! The shop is super clean and has a relaxed environment. There are only 3 nail techs here so if you're trying to get in on a Saturday morning or a busy time it's better to call rather than coming on here and writing a bad review! First of all, I picked this location based off of reviews stating that Kevin was the best ever. Kevin may have been good, but neither my mom or I got him for our nails. I did not enjoy my experience with the nail technician I got. I have really bad cuticles and expect them to be fully pushed back and cut off but the girl who did them started hacking at them by pulling with the cuticle clippers instead of clipping. It was pretty painful. She told me she did not want to push the cuticles all the way back because it would cause me to have hangnails and my skin peeling. Well guess what, every finger has hangnails and looks so bad. To top it off, one and a half weeks later, several of my nails are falling off already. Worst shellac manicure ever. read more
