This last time I got a gel manicure for Halloween with purple nails and some ghosts and bats added to one finger on each hand. Victoria, who is really nice and easy to chat with, did an amazing job and they look so cute. I don't know how she can paint something so tiny! The owner, Nicole, is super friendly and always greets you. as soon as you enter. The establishment itself is clean and open and fresh looking. I can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving nails next.

She makes the best cheese plates in the afternoons for happy hour and the BEST omelettes for breakfast. By the way, breakfast and happy hour is included with your stay. Everything is made to order and the spreads are always incredible. One of the best perks about the Inn! It's romantic and relaxing all rolled into one vacation. The customer service from each lady at the Inn is outstanding. They truly care about your vacation and constantly check in to make sure you're more than happy with your stay. Heather even made hot tea for my husband one day and brought it out to him by the pool. So kind. Our air conditioner had an issue one night and we were promptly given a key to another room where we could sleep for the night. Heather had maintenance out the next morning and the issue was taken care of quickly. We have stayed in the Flamingo room and the Serenity room all times we've been here. These are the only two rooms located in the spa building and the heated mineral pool is right outside their doors. We love The White Orchid Inn and Spa and already look forward to the day when we return. The ladies really made our trip special this time around and we are grateful for that. Yikes. I'm not a regular manicure or pedicure person, but I am older and have had my share. I know…read morea good manicure from meh, mediocre, bad, or terrible or awful, atrocious. Pedicure wasn't absolutely terrible. I tried to let slide most things I found questionable. One thing led to another and the whole thing began to feel frustrating and super annoying. And WTF with the short attention span theater? Every time anything happened in the salon the technician would jerk her head in the direction and stare, which happened throughout the entire pedicure. And this meant she wasn't focused on my feet, leaving my nails uneven and lopsided. My manicure was atrocious, and it was seemingly deliberate. The technician didn't even phone it in - she didn't try to pretend to want to do a decent job. I don't have nice long nails. But I'm here on vacation without my own equipment. Since my cuticles started to crack they needed immediate attention. Yet I got none. No lotion or soap in the cold water. My nails were filed cooked. Left most of the cuticles hanging. Didn't oil the cuticles. Nearly put the polish on beforehand then snapped out of her stupor long enough to realize what she was not doing. Then put a pea-sized portion of lotion on my hands which didn't moisturize in the least and with absolutely no massage whatsoever. My 5-yo niece would have shown more finesse, experience, and enthusiasm. After showing her how crooked and uneven my nails and cuticles were on each hand, which she said she couldn't fix, I took the equipment from her and shortened and evened them out myself. I was so frustrated at this point that I nicked the side of one finger. Then she proceeded to tell me that putting oil on my cuticles would mean that the nail polish wouldn't stick. Since when??? Since never! I've had many more manicures than years she's been alive and have never had to choose one over the other. Gimme a friggen break dumbest thing I have ever heard. Really pissed me off that I spent $60 on such abominable service and terrible attitude. I could have chosen any other salon in the area and wish I would have. But I hope this serves as a warning to others not to come here.
