Yikes. I'm not a regular manicure or pedicure person, but I am older and have had my share. I know a good manicure from meh, mediocre, bad, or terrible or awful, atrocious. Pedicure wasn't absolutely terrible. I tried to let slide most things I found questionable. One thing led to another and the whole thing began to feel frustrating and super annoying. And WTF with the short attention span theater? Every time anything happened in the salon the technician would jerk her head in the direction and stare, which happened throughout the entire pedicure. And this meant she wasn't focused on my feet, leaving my nails uneven and lopsided. My manicure was atrocious, and it was seemingly deliberate. The technician didn't even phone it in - she didn't try to pretend to want to do a decent job. I don't have nice long nails. But I'm here on vacation without my own equipment. Since my cuticles started to crack they needed immediate attention. Yet I got none. No lotion or soap in the cold water. My nails were filed cooked. Left most of the cuticles hanging. Didn't oil the cuticles. Nearly put the polish on beforehand then snapped out of her stupor long enough to realize what she was not doing. Then put a pea-sized portion of lotion on my hands which didn't moisturize in the least and with absolutely no massage whatsoever. My 5-yo niece would have shown more finesse, experience, and enthusiasm. After showing her how crooked and uneven my nails and cuticles were on each hand, which she said she couldn't fix, I took the equipment from her and shortened and evened them out myself. I was so frustrated at this point that I nicked the side of one finger. Then she proceeded to tell me that putting oil on my cuticles would mean that the nail polish wouldn't stick. Since when??? Since never! I've had many more manicures than years she's been alive and have never had to choose one over the other. Gimme a friggen break dumbest thing I have ever heard. Really pissed me off that I spent $60 on such abominable service and terrible attitude. I could have chosen any other salon in the area and wish I would have. But I hope this serves as a warning to others not to come here. read more

I bring my husband into Kim Nails every month for a pedicure and nail clip. Occasionally I will treat myself and get one too. They do a decent job even though they can't seem to put the polish at the nail bed and leave a sliver of it plain (which drivers me nuts) but they are are getting trickier with the "upsell". We are on a budget we know what we want and I shouldn't have to say no every 10 min. Last month I asked for a nail clip for my husband as I do every month and when I went to check on his progress they had started a manicure that I had to put a stop to. Yesterday we went in and I told the lady regular pedicure for me. She handed me the "menu" opened to the $50 pedi and I looked at her and turned it to the page for the $35 pedi and pointed to it. She brought me the nail chips and the nail book to pick my color which I did. When I went to pay the cashier says $50 for me. Understand I was shocked and asked why. "Oh the Polish you picked was Gel and that's $15 extra". So this woman got her $50 pedi out of me without explaining that the polish I picked was extra nor did she tell me it was Gel. I never wanted to use Gel as I heard it's not good for the nail bed. They did not remove the extra charge so needless to say I won't go back. They've lost two customers due to simple greed. read more

The hair from the brush kept getting in my nails throughout the process- right before my nails were set at the end it happened again and she just left it there. Toe polish just turned out bad. read more

I had a very nice technician on Friday, but obviously she didn't do something with my nails cause my nail that I paid gel polish for $50. It chipped off after one day Saturday so I came in this morning Sunday. 7/27 and I showed the owner how it chipped off and the first thing she said was oh that's your fault you did this and I'm like well. Maybe if my nail was done properly it wouldn't have because I had had gel polish on from another salon that I had done someplace else and my manicure lasted for three weeks so then she tried to do a quick job and the nail looked terrible so I said look this looks terrible so then she took it off but the whole time she was arguing with me and even the customer next to me said that was terrible so then after she did my nail which hopefully it will last, I don't know if it will they basically hurried me out of the business and I said to her you need to work on your Customer Service skills horrible place I would not go back I know why they have a 3.9 rating because they're not nice you know what they say. Leadership is the key and that leadership is bad. read more

Nice people, good pedi. Seems clean and fair prices. Location is by publics been there 3 times no issues

Horrible service! I'm very considerate of other nationalities but my nail tech couldn't understand me so I'm kept having to go through a translator which made my appointment go over 2 hrs when it should have been an easy 1 to 1.5hrs. On top of that they are using false advertisement by advertising one price but then when you get to the desk to pay they charge you another! Watch out they will scam you out of money because once the service is done you have to pay even if you told them not to do a certain process or you go to their website and see what prices they are advertising, then accept those services at those prices but when you go to pay they will get aggressive with you and tell you to pay a higher price. So watch out for those sneaky people! And remember the prices on the pic that I'm sharing aren't the prices that they will charge you! I felt bullied to pay what they said instead of what they were advertising and what I agreed to. read more

I was in town visiting my parents and needed help after a terrible gel x manicure in Chicago. My nails were damaged and terribly thin, but I needed something to get me through two weeks during the holidays. Kim saved the day with an efficient and professional manicure with gel overlay (I think it was called this). And I am happy to report that two weeks later my nails still look great! I cannot emphasize how much I struggle with my nails, so Kim's manicure was a mini miracle!! read more

Kim did my nails first time it was okay. I came second time made an appointment with Kim but she commanded somebody else to do my nails it was very bad. My nails were not shaped at all. The nails started to chip right away. The girl who did my nails appeared that she was bothered for some reason. She did not wanted to be there. We'll never again. I have to say that young man who did my pedicure was pretty good. read more

Went here to get mine and my daughters nails done for my sons wedding. I asked the technician to not shorten the length on my nails , only shape and paint . He not only filed them down , he filed them uneven . Clipped my toe nails extremely short . Add insult to injury, literally, I had my face waxed , which I have done many times at a salon I usually go to. This time , she put wax in much more of my face than I requested, I was woken up at 3am my face burning and itching . Horrible rash . I called in the morning frantic . They said use aloe and it should be ok in a few days . My sons wedding was the next day . I hated my nails and I looked like a teenager going through puberty. Next , they overcharged me . My daughter felt he filed her nails way down also . This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had . read more

Just left this place and will not be back again! Service was fine, nothing special, but when I was getting my manicure they ask another customer to sit right next to me (with many empty seats around.) I said that I wasn't comfortable sitting that close to a stranger so they moved her to another seat, and then told me I was lucky they were so quiet because usually they had all seats full. The sign on the door says they're following masks and social distancing, but that was not my experience and I'm really offended that I was made to feel bad for insisting. Way to lose a customer ladies! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE I have been going there for almost 20 years and I am so happy I found this place. Kim does my nails and usually picks my color - she knows what I like and knows her inventory. She is like family, as are many of the techs there. At my husband's funeral, she even made my husband's favorite egg rolls. She is awesome. My husband and I both went to Thyra for our pedicures and she is great. Her leg messages are fabulous. If you're looking for a salon, try Kim's Nails - you won't be disappointed. read more

had a dbl appt and my friend had the better techs and service. I had the new girl with shaky hands for a pedi and got the older lady that spoke no english for a mani and both did a crappy job. I could have just saved the money and done it myself. never ever again. read more

Nope never again. I called to see if I could get appointment to get gel powder removed and a regular mani. She said just come in you'll have to soak. I went in without appointment and sat 35 min. She then moved me to a station d I sat another 10 min. I got up and left read more

The best! Kim is wonderful! I have been going there for years. Very clean and I never have to wait. I highly recommend!

Do not recommend this nail shop to anyone! The nail tech was shaping my nails and while he was filing went into my skin, saw it was bleeding wiped the blood off and still continued to do what he was doing. When I went in to talk to Kim about it she was being rude to me about what the nail tech did to me. And wouldn't try to give me a refund or nothing! read more

I am new to town and came to Kim's Nails on several recommendations I get SNS nail treatments, my technician is Tina. I am more than satisfied. I hate even leaving one star at how disappointing this salon is. I made appointments for two people at 9 am when the salon allegedly opened. However, upon arrival at 8:55 there was only one technician available, while two customers were already receiving services. The people working had no clue about my appointments and made no effort to figure it out. We were treated like walk in customers and I was left to sit, with no word from anyone, while my friend began her services. After a while I walked out and will not be going back. I truly do not understand an establishment that takes appointments but does not honor them. The other shame in the matter is that I dragged my friend there reluctantly when she didn't even want to go...at least she got her nails done. read more

Took my niece here for a manicure & pedicure. We didn't wait more than a few minutes before we we both in pedicure chairs. They did a good job on my toes. No one offered me a design/flower so I didn't get one. I am happy with the services, but should have checked the prices up front- my fault. It seemed a little expensive for 2 pedicures (no designs) & 2 manicures (one gel) to cost $100 plus tip. I will probably go somewhere else next time I am in the area. read more

Kim Nails & Spa - My daughter's nails after a visit to Kim's Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Flagler Beach, Florida

I live in Flagler beach and I've been coming here for six years. The place had always been friendly, attentive and professional. I have always gotten a gel French manicure. However, I fear the salon has been going downhill for a while. My most recent manicure experience getting was stressful and Not satisfying. Kim was on vacation and the person who did my nails kept trying to talk me into an SNS manicure when I wanted a gel French manicure. His name (i believe) was Dung Dang and he was basically arguing with me and trying to insist that I have the SNS--probably because it was easier for him. I thought he was rude and did not care about what the customer wants. I hate having to pay for something I didn't actually want. I will never come here again. Unsupervised employees can really ruin a business. read more

This is the second time I have visited this nail salon and they were just as wonderful as they were the first time. Kim did my nails both times and they are perfect and wear so well. My pedi was done by a different person but I also enjoyed the attention to detail that she had. I use this place everytime I visit my mom and sister. Give them a try, they are awesome. read more
