Walked in to get my acrylics removed. Was told to wait a few minutes, 10 minutes max. Ended up waiting for 30-40 minutes. There were about 10 workers and only 6 customers when I walked in. Nobody was able to help me due to all the workers helping the customers.. Lady called me up and then told me there's another person ahead of me. Dealt with her and then came to help me. For the next 10-30 minutes, she was in between helping me and another lady. (We had two different services) And then after all of that, she said the acrylics were off all the way, which it seemed like it. Until I got into my car and noticed a layer of acrylic still on my natural nails. Won't be coming back due to the service and quality this establishment has. read more

first time experience was an absolute disaster!!!!! my daughter had left over polish on her toes and asked to have it removed and was told she had a toe fungus. we also asked for the comp sandals and was told they had to re-order. I'm guessing they are only available for certain customers, only to have the male employee pull out a hand full and give them to us. there was so many other issues for a first time visit that this review would be a novel. if you value good service, you will be highly disappointed. the owner (who lied about being the owner), apologized and begged for our continued service with zero success. So I waited to do a review to see how my nails weathered over a few weeks. I have broken two but that was my own fault. My nails have grown since I went in so I have a before and after photo of about two and a half weeks for comparison. I went with two friends and got a manicure and pedicure. We were the first appointments of the day. We took priority over others that didn't have an appointment which I appreciated. My nails are still growing with little to no peeling or cracking. I usually get my pedicures done by Lane but this past weekend she was already with a customer so I took a chance on the next available employee. I've been going to Luxury Nail bar for so long and received the poorest service today that I've received from any salon I've ever been to. A string of poor quality service was provided during a visit in which I brought my mom with me, I was embarrassed. I went because I lost my baby in a recent miscarriage and just wanted to relax. They ran cold water in the pedicure tub and didn't even check the temperature until requested...They told me I had a toe nail fungus when they failed to remove the entire amount of my brown shimmer gel polish (only to finally remove it and see that my toe nails DO NOT, and have never had a fungus)...The tech messed up my new regular toe nail polish and refused to fix it, until I had to wipe off the wet polish myself, forcing her to start over, as I had already requested twice...They offer drinks to customers, I watched as they offered drinks to other customers as they came in, and customers who had already been receiving service had drinks as well, we were never offered a thing...the final straw was when I requested flip flops so that I could walk to the restroom to take care of myself as my nails were still drying, the nail tech pretended to look for flip flops for about five minutes, said nothing, and when asked if AGAIN if they had any, lied and said that they didn't have any, swearing that they ran out and needed to order the supplies. When asked again they said the same thing, until one nail tech reached in a drawer and grabbed a pair. When my mom requested her pair, because we realized they obviously were lying, they said they didn't have any more other than this one pair....As they continued to lie, the guy who did my mom's pedicure reached into the same drawer and brought out a nice sized stack of flip flops, showing again that they were lying. It seems like even this nail tech became tired of listening to the other workers and the owner lying. When we asked to speak to the owner, THE OWNER sat there lying, saying that the owner wasn't there...Now I've been to this shop on many occasions, I know who the owner is....yet another lie.....We left with flip flops that we asked for repeatedly, payed 87$ for very poor service after being forced to pay by staff...and after they begged and pleaded that return again one day to receive services, we assured them that we would never EVER return again, we assured them that the service was absolutely terrible...Luxury Nail Bar has lost a long time customer due to poor and clearly discriminatory service. I am a local in Mobile and have been to MANY nail salons in the area, and this is by far my least favorite. I had a full set done and the nails were the worst i've ever had. All different thicknesses & shapes even though I asked for square. When I went back to complain and ask them to fix the nails, they told me too many days had passed and I could not request a refund or get them redone. Personally if I was running a business and it was very obvious that the work that my salon produced was not up to standard, I would fix them regardless. I don't leave bad reviews unless I'm really unhappy. I paid $45 for the worst mani & pedi I have ever had. I'm mid 40's so that says a lot. The paint on my toes look like I have a weeks growth because it doesn't go all the way back. The polish is just caked on and looks bad. My nails are seriously uneven and I asked for them to be buffed and shined but were not. I tried to tell the lady very politely but she did not understand very much English. The first time I went I had nails put on for prom and I had to go back on three separate occasions to have the nails put back on because they had fallen off. I was charged to have their mistake fixed on all of these occasions. The next time I was invited to go and get pedicures with some friends. They had friendly service but my nails looked like they had been painted by a child, the polish was not smooth at all and it was all over my toes. I went there 2 weeks ago for a set of gel nails. The young girl talked me into getting SNS nails. When she finished, my nails were so thick they looked awful. Her "excuse" was that it was because they were short. Long or short, they should have looked good. I finally went last night and had them taken off. She soaked them somewhat but then used her dremel tool to get them off. Now they are so thin that they bend. I told them how disappointed I was that they original set looked horrible. This place is overpriced. They charge $50 for just a basic full set because they said that they add gel to all of their acrylic so that it can last longer . The paint job was messy and i feel like i didn't get what i paid for. They will do a sloppy job and not try to correct it unless you say something. Wouldn't recommend . Wonderful ambiance but my service was HORRIBLE!!! My pedicure literally lasted 10 minutes with the polishing taking the most time. Tech was very rude and rough especially when she did my eyebrows. I specifically told her to just shape my brows up and not to thin them out(I have very thick brows), well she ignored that and still screwed my brows up! One thing I hate is to not tip someone when they perform a service but this tech did not deserve not ONE CENT!! This is the WORST nail salon in Mobile, AL. Came in for a gel manicure and polish change on my toes. From the start, the ENTIRE process was rushed. She rushed me trying to pick out my color, rushed the entire manicure to the point where I still had dead skin and powder from the buffing still on my nails when she started the polishing process. The employee rubbed my arms with lotion so hard and so fast, for approximately 10 seconds total, it looked like I had a rash on both arms when she got done. This salon deserves ZERO stars. First, the only male working there is INCREDIBLY creepy and made me feel very uncomfortable during the entire service. When I was done and checking out, he told me that if anything happened I could come back within the week and they would fix it free of charge... less than 24 hours later, both my toe and my finger chipped while I was not doing anything but normal day to day activities. I went back for them to fix it, and the same creepy guy told me to find the polish I got on my toes. I remembered the name of it, so I found it and told him that was the one. He told me it was not and picked up a completely different color and that the wrong color was my color. Then, on top of him picking the wrong color, he put the polish right on top of my already messed up toe polish so it was the wrong color, and looked terrible. He then did the same thing with the chip of the gel polish on my finger, so my finger polish is not twice as thick as it needs to be.
