The Fire Place - Fire place

The Fire Place

K. Stevens Have to…read moresay my stop at The Fire Place was beyond my expectations. I was visiting from out-of-town and stated that up front. Ray still went out of his way to answer all of my questions. He demonstrated all the features of the fireplace I was interested in. That was just the proverbial cake, the icing was when he suggested and looked up referral information for a fire place dealer in the community I live in. Ray was pleasant, accommodating and very knowledgeable. If you are shopping for a fire place this is the place to go.

This comes from someone who worked there and why I left. He would throw tantrums and get mad if nothing went his way, I understand stuff happens but your a grown man doing all of this for what? The installers complain about not getting paid enough, management is decent, work place culture is a 1/10 not the best place to learn anything honestly, the hardest part of the job isn't anything. I really wanted to learn and I felt so unvalued by others no matter how much I really did try to learn. The most enjoyable part of the job was going home. I stuck around longer then I needed to because the installer I was with (whom I was placed with more) I really wanted to learn regardless of what he said about me, talked about me, gave me faces, punched around materials, the owners says he pays for materials and everything but he doesn't. The installers pay for all the material they need besides the pipe and that's it. Honestly,

We have been using Mr Soot Chimney Sweeps for 4 years now, starting back to when we first bought…read moreour house. It gave us peace of mind knowing that our chimney was cleaned and inspected by such professionals. He arrived on time and came with everything necessary to take care of the job that day. He checked the exterior as well as the interior which included a tarp to collect any mess he might have made during the cleaning and inspection process. When he was done, he walked us through any trouble spots he saw as well as took the extra time to look into a few things for us ( we've had issues with the fans that are inside the fireplace insert). He's matter of fact with any possible repairs and focuses more on giving his professional opinion rather than giving a sales a pitch. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a professional chimney inspection and cleaning.

He came out and got the pilot light on and then spent no extra time to see if it would remain. We were then charged an additional $30 for him to do something that took 1 minute. Two days later the pilot light went out and it is still not working. I called to get a refund of $30 and then was quoted over a $1000 for them to fix it without them even looking at it again. Does not make sense to me!!! I would call somebody else.
