Design provided looked pretty good, but after spending over $400 dollars on suggested plants found that the plants suggested were not necessarily perennial, some plants and positioning according to said plan outweighed or caused other plants from growing/surviving, and some plants suggested were not ideal to the amount of sun exposure for the area specified. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend.

He explained that the beveled edges could be sanded down to the surface to give the floors a more modern look, plus the shoe molding was replaced, the ugly metal heating vent grates swapped out with wooden ones stained to match the flooring, and the railing was sanded and re-stained, everything looks spectacular! The owner seemed a bit annoyed and rushed whenever we met- not sure if we were a small job to him or if I would have been treated differently if my husband had been available for meetings too. He didn't seem happy that we questioned some of those spots after the job was done (perhaps this is not part of their normal process, but it has always been my experience with large-scale home renovations). Regardless, we are happy with the work and our new floors!

My projects were a little more involved as I was converting a tub into a shower, tiling the floor and some of the walls, replacing vents and toilets, inputting new cabinets and we restructured a closet to make our bathroom larger. His quote seemed a little high at first but it was comparable to 4 - 5 other quotes I received. In the end, I liked Ryan's honest approach and willingness to help us work through some of the design elements with which we struggled. After seeing all the work his teams did on my job and the quality of the materials he used, I felt like I got a deal! Ryan works with an excellent cast of folks! His colleague, Adam, is conscientious, hard-working, personable and a talented craftsman in his own regard. The two managed their work and the staff of their sub-contractors professionally, assuring all the work was done to our satisfaction. The project took about 6 weeks all tolled, but, there was regular activity almost everyday. There were no delays that I can think of on Ryan's side and only short ones on my side trying to find the right mirrors we needed (we chose to put mirrors on an uneven stone wall which is a challenge to make safe and well mounted). Not only would I recommend Carolina Premier Home Improvements to anyone considering a home renovation, but, I plan on using Ryan's Team for my kitchen remodel later this year. I really had a tough time finding a contractor who I felt I could trust and that had the skills/experience to do what we wanted and Ryan has exceeded my expectations. I envisioned having a lot of back and forth over design problems and a bunch of change requests. I thought there would be a number of punch list items at the end too. We had virtually none of those issues. Ryan (or his sub-contractors) came back once to touch up some paint and re-secure a toilet paper holder. That's it! The point is that Ryan really tries to get it done right the first time and largely succeeds. Finally, a word on Ryan's use of sub-contractors. I have had experiences where contractors farm out work to the cheapest company and, frankly, the product reflects the use of cheap materials or under-skilled workers. Ryan's sub-contractors have clearly worked with Ryan on many projects and they deliver to his expectations (which exceeded mine in some cases). They spoke highly of Ryan and Adam, clearly appreciating the working relationship they have with Carolina Premier Home Improvements. In today's home improvement market, it speaks volumes to me that his vendors and sub-contractors speak as highly of Ryan as he speaks of them. Thanks for the GREAT Job!!!

I hired David Tile off a recommendation from a general contractor. The purpose was not to save…read moremoney but rather find someone honest and dependable. I had removed my microwave and replace it with a high end Range Hood. I wanted backsplash added in it place in and are 10 sq feet. I purchased the tile, grout. I hired David Tile to complete the job. They gave me an estimate for labor only and I agreed. The job was not completed correctly and they indicated they would come back in two days and clean the excess grout and cement along with fixing the pin holes in the grout which is normal. This would be their responsibilty based on the original scope of work. I also wanted the grout extended six inches lower. David Tile agreed to fix all the issues. This was November 2025. They continued to have excuse after excuse and cancel numerous appointments. They did not come back and clean the backsplash. I had to have someone come in and regrout what they did as well as extend the backsplash lower to my original plan. Their last appointment was set in February 12, 2026 at 2:45pm. I called and spoke with Angel and he indicated they had truck issues that morning and would not make it (They let me wait for them and I had to call them). David Tile then rescheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2026. On Sunday they did not call nor keep their appointment. I have to assume my job was too small and they had better things to do. I have learned over the years that a company is only as good as their work. I would not hire nor recommend David Tile. They fail to communicate or follow thru with the service they were paid to complete. SPANISH VERSION: Contraté a David Tile por recomendación de un contratista general. I had a rather large landscaping project on my hands after removing 70 leyland cypress trees. The…read morejob included: re-grading the property, catch drains & underground pipes, new sodding and irrigation. The initial bidding process was interesting. I contacted about 10 of the top rated landscaping companies on Angie's List. Just about every company proposed something different for my drainage problems, and I got 4 different types of Zoysia sod recommended. In the end, I went with Adam Mason at Lawn Detailing for 3 reasons. His estimate was fair, his solutions to my problems were reasonable, and most importantly, Adam seemed to have integrity. I could tell that he'd be honest with me, and easy to work with. I wasn't disappointed! To the contrary, throughout the entire job, Adam and his crew went above and beyond (my expectations) to ensure the landscaping project was done meticulously - no short cuts! Throughout the process, all personnel were polite and professional. At completion, there was no trash or remnant of the disaster these guys walked into. Adam has gone so far as to show up a few times a week since the job was completed to make sure the sod is taking root correctly. I'm ecstatic with my results, and would highly recommend Adam's company - Lawn Detailing. We will use him again this fall to re-landscape the property with plants, trees, etc.....
