This master suite renovation was our second project with them; the first was an award-winning kitchen remodel. And there will likely be additional projects as we have developed trusting relationships with the company owner as well as the crew. They provide detailed estimates and adjust whenever necessary. Work began on the exact day scheduled. There was a minor delay due to the pandemic - completely understandable. They communicate regularly so that we always knew who was coming, when they were coming, and what they were going to do. If there was a day or time inconvenient to us, it was rescheduled. They cleaned up the work area before leaving every day. Clearly, their goal was to ensure our satisfaction at all times. Any and all concerns were immediately addressed. This was a major renovation of the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet that included replacing the bedroom carpet with hardwood floors stained to match the rest of the house; installing wood ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom; and a complete overhaul of the master bath. Our shower was in bad shape, our tub took up a lot of room and served no purpose as neither of us used it, and the entire bathroom was outdated. The bathroom remodel was designed for aging in place and includes several grab bars strategically located as well as a high-tech toilet with bidet and heated floor tiles. The tub was removed and the shower relocated to that area. Above the tub was a large picture window that was removed and restructured into a transom above the shower that allowed for both light and privacy. That, of course, required brickwork on the outside of the house. Now, we have a large, stunning shower with treated glass, a seat and two showerheads - one is a wand next to the seat. Moving the shower allowed for custom vanities with drawers that are extremely functional being specifically designed to hold hair styling tools and a makeup area for seating. We asked them to accommodate lighted glass sculptures and their cabinet maker designed a tower specifically for this purpose and the electrician set it up so the cords from the light bases were not showing. Once again, we worked with their gifted designer who guided us through all material selections. She offered options and truly helped with the decision process. When it comes to choosing tile, cabinet styles, hardware, and paint colors she has the ability to pull it all together in a way that generates stunning results. Her guidance was priceless! Fresh paint everywhere, new fan and TV mounted in the bedroom...all perfectly done. Wake Remodeling even has a "cleaner" who comes in when all the work is done to ensure everything is spotless! And when we dinged the walls moving the furniture back into the bedroom, the painter returned and touched it up. In the last 30 years, in prior homes, we have done many, many renovations and experienced both good and bad contractors. The Wake Remodeling team has now completed two renovations for us and both have exceeded our expectations. There will more than likely be future projects and they will be the team we call.

I've been trying to write this review for over a month and have not been able to write anything…read morethat adequately explains how fabulous the Kitchen's Plus crew is. I still haven't found the words, but I'll do my best. Let me start with what Kitchen's Plus is not: We tried two other kitchen cabinet services before finding Kithen's Plus. The first place ignored everything we said we wanted in our new kitchen and sent us a quote for cabinets that warp when they get wet and left off the added wall of cabinets, because "nobody ever gets the extra wall once they see the quote." The second place was open to the public, but they were so busy doing cabinet contract work for developers they had no time for us. After calling, emailing, and stopping by the showroom again, we were finally able to get someone to come out and measure for cabinets. Weeks went by. After more calling and emailing it became quickly apparent we needed to try somewhere else. Enter Kitchen's Plus. I left a message for Kitchen's Plus detailing my dilema on a Friday and by Tuesday morning, I was talking to Joel. He immediately got us on his calendar. It was our luck that Kitchen's Plus recently hired an interior designer, Crystal. She was able to help us figure out what to do with the tighter sections of the kitchen we were not sure what to do with. While we went in with one cabinet manufacutrer in mind, Joe was able to recommend an even better cabinet made locally by Kitchen Cabinet Distributors. The cabinets were built better and cost 25% less to boot! We put our deposit down and got on their installation calendar. Four weeks later, the crew arrived to begin. Joel, Nathan, Justin, and Crystal are all wonderful people that care about their work. It shows in the finished product. There were some things we wanted in the kitchen that were not available, so Joel made us a custom wine rack. It fit the space we had perfectly. He also went out of the way to find us a black drain for our new white ceramic sink, knowing the chrome one that came with the sink did not match our black and white theme. In addition to their excellent craftmanship the crew also works really well together. During the install, they'd joke with each other and at times break into group song. First I had some dry rot in a board beneath my…read moreback door from poor installation years ago and Joe replaced it, as well as fixing an issue with the flashing at the ledger board behind it. I also had him strip and repaint the trim around the side door into my garage (while doing that he also removed some dry rot and sealed everything to prevent any issues in the future). Scheduling was a little rocky due to the snow and weather, but I didn't mind at all because the work was high quality and I'm exceptionally happy with the final product I got! Before I could even enjoy my shower the tile walls started cracking. There was a big hole in one tile that had been filled in with grout to hide. The tiles on the bathroom floors started coming up immediately. There were so many things wrong. I eventually had to hire another contractor to come in and demo EVERYTHING that Joe had done, and redo my entire bathroom again. When the new contractor took out the shower, we found that the pipes had cuts in them and Joe had just covered them up. Everything that Joe did had to be replaced because of the poor installation. I paid him over 28k, and I paid for most of the materials myself. He is very dishonest, and made promises that he NEVER intended to keep. He said he would call me to schedule a meeting to talk about a refund, and he hasn't returned any of my calls, emails or text. if you are considering him for a job, DON'T!!!!! He and his workers who are not licensed, scratched my laminate flooring in 3 rooms. Unfortunately my flooring is no longer available so the rooms would need to be completely replaced. He said he could fix the scratches, but he hasn't. He has no regard for personal property.

I purchased plain white shaker cabinets in 2019 from Cabinet and Closet Depot on the recommendation…read moreof my contractor, Reno-Pro. At first, everything seemed fine. But almost immediately afterward, the cabinets started bubbling and peeling--despite the owner claiming they were solid maple. I reached out to the owner repeatedly, and he ignored every single message. Only after dragging my contractor into (Reno-Pro) it did he finally bother to call me back. His excuse? That the damage was my fault because the cabinets are supposedly only meant to be cleaned with a dry cloth. If that's truly the case, why on earth would he recommend them for a kitchen? And why did he originally tell me they were solid wood? After several attempts to get answers--plus leaving a negative review--he reluctantly replaced a few doors. He even showed up with his secretary, who parroted his claims despite never being part of any previous conversation. A year later, the exact same problems are back. The cabinets are bubbling everywhere: top, bottom, sides--you name it. The quality is absolutely unacceptable. If these cabinets can't withstand basic, minimal cleaning, the owner should have been honest from the start. I would have gladly paid more upfront instead of now facing the cost of replacing my entire kitchen. This company is interested only in making a sale, not in providing a product that lasts. Save yourself the headache. Do not support this business. You get what you pay for--and in this case, what you get is complete garbage.

We had a good experience with Anova, they literally had a blank slate which to work with. We…read moretotally redesigned our master bathroom, getting rid of our garden tub and creating a bigger wall in tiled shower along with adding a linen closet. In addition to that we changed the footprint of our kitchen by tearing down a ledge bar and adding a flat granite countertop along with a new back splash. Overall the project took about 5 weeks (give or take) with a couple of bumps but not anything major. The staff (Randy, Derrick, Jim, Hector) were very responsive and it was finally completed! I would recommend Anova overall as we also learned several surprises during our remodel, the floor and toilet was included as well as the granite. We were ready to pay for all but were surprised and thankful after all said and done. Matt and his staff made billing easy, I only had to worry 2 checks and they split the payment up over time and the other times we paid we used a cashless system which was awesome!!! (I don't write enough checks to remember how). Overall 4 out of 5. Thank you!!!
