The crew found a couple of issues in the crawlspace I had no idea about -- moldy ductwork and a leak. They showed me photos. These are serious issues I now know I need to take care of ASAP. AND we're going to use Stetten Home Services for a long overdue finishing of the exterior of our sunporch. He gave my husband and me the gift of the installation of a custom fold-down cutting board where a rickety fold-down ironing board used to be. This, of course, was totally his idea because he's creative like that. The cutting board is beautiful, solid, and functional, adding 30% more surface area to our kitchen. It's far superior to the ironing board that was there previously. He used top notch parts, sourced from specialty cabinet makers, to construct it. Ian was also timely and cleaned up after himself. I would feel confident hiring Ian for bigger projects, as I have seen him helping his former employer (my Dad) build bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and more. Sure, I may be his sister, but I'm his older sister and thus prone to harsh judgement... so you know you can trust my review, and Ian with all of your handyman needs.

1 word, HORRENDOUS!!!!!…read more Sam Macdougall is not an experienced builder even though he portrays himself as one. His work was so below par it was stupefying. I could turn the 2x4's of the framing 360 degrees with my bare hands, tresses did not match each other, the garage opening was only 7.25' wide, and the list goes on. We finally had to sue him for our $50,000 because we could not find another construction company willing to take over the job; each said the previous work would have to be demolished and a whole new structure built. We sued him and his father-in-law paid his debt. Come to find out this was the SECOND 'mistake' his father-in-law had resolved. I just wish there was some way of putting this type of builder out of business for good! DO NOT USE SANDERSON CONSTRUCTION!

I had them come and redo my kitchen years ago and I just called on them again to do our bathrooms. When I spoke with Ted, he remembered me (that never happens) and told me that David would reach out to me to schedule and sure enough, David called quickly afterward. We were able to put something on the books for the very next week and now I have beautiful cabinets! Also, when David came to take measurements, he checked out our kitchen, noticed a slight blemish with one of the seams and told me he would fix that too- without skipping a beat! The best part was the professionalism. Somehow, the night after the install, there was a leak in one of the new cabinets. Not only was David quick to respond, but he told me he would do whatever it takes to make it right. You just don't see this kind of customer service anymore. David and his crew were quick, super nice, fixed the leak, tore out the sheet rock, called a sheetrock repair guy and painter to come out and complete the job free of charge. I could not be more grateful and happy that I found these guys. When we move into our next house, I know that I will be calling these folks again. They have me for life. We chose the J&K Dove White "E" line. Apparently this is the J&K budget line, but you would be hard pressed to find anything budget about them. They look beautiful and have a good solid feel to them. Any little adjustment that had to be done was done and made to look as if it was all there from the beginning. David wanted to take pics when he was done, but I wanted him to wait until the whole kitchen was done because it didn't do the cabinets a justice to not see them in a finished kitchen. Rest assured, we will have him come back when it is all done to take pictures to really show how nice these cabinets are. I would absolutely recommend them for your next cabinet job!
