My gorgeous beadboard ceiling for our screened in porch! Thank you Carolina Customized Interiors!
    Shannon A.

I found Carolina Customized Interiors on Yelp- bonus that they are in Wake Forest...love keeping my business local! I had been needing/wanting a bead-board ceiling for my back screened in porch since we moved in and so I asked for an estimate and wait for it..... I actually got a call back, a scheduled visit for a free estimate, AND it was returned in two days. I was shocked since I have seriously, no lie, had three different people lined up to do an estimate and no one actually came through. Not only was Jeremy responsive, but the estimate was affordable. We decided to go with it! The job was scheduled for this past Monday. They guys showed up on time and ready to work. The job was done quickly and beautifully. They craftsmanship is impeccable, and literally the job they did exceeded my expectations. I had picked out a light blue for the bead-board and they got the color I wanted and also painted the finished work. I loved their work so much that I am having them do an estimate for some garage shelving we are interested in. When I told Jeremy what I was interested in, he sent me photos of other work he had done. I loved it! I really could not be happier with the work and am looking forward to a nice spring and long summer on my beautiful, screened in porch with the best looking ceiling in town! I have a feeling Carolina Customized Interiors will be in our lives for a while!

Jeremy and his crew were wonderful to work with. They did a fantastic job on my horrible outdated 1997 kitchen. I have a beautiful modern updated kitchen with a few very special custom items that I got to design myself. For instance I have a food and water station in the kitchen island for my fur babies with a cabinet above for their food and treats. I also got to design a coffee and wine area that holds all my wine bottles, mugs, teas and k- cups! The crew were polite, conscientious and clean (as clean as you can be in a work zone lol). I highly recommend CCI. They even finished my project 1 week and 3 days earlier than scheduled! What a great company and group of people. You can tell they love what they do and care about making their customers happy!

Our custom built mantel by Jeremy and Ian, which matches our crown molding.

His attention to detail and meticulous bookkeeping make every project smooth and enjoyable. He's currently working on a custom fireplace surround and built-in bookcase in our formal living room, and I can't wait to share updated pictures soon. I was surprised to see a negative review regarding a no-show, as my experience with him has been nothing but outstanding. Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

I contacted NHRC and Greg came out the next day for a consultation. He quoted me a price that I thought was very good for the entire bathroom remodel. Greg and his other worker were very efficient and even though we ran into a few issues (old plumbing and uneven walls), Greg was able to troubleshoot the issues and did a fantastic job with this renovation. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. I highly recommend NHRC and Greg's remodeling services!

He had to change to 12:15PM the day before, so I agreed. I will say that he did go above and beyond to help me find the right hinges for a fair price, and he seemed like such a nice guy! He came back a few weeks later with his caulking man (George) and also to fix some uneven cabinet doors from when he installed the soft close hinges. We went through the house and I showed him and George the areas I wanted to be re-caulked: around the kitchen counters, a powder room sink, upstairs tub and bathroom, and laundry room sink. Surprisingly, they were done in less than 90 minutes! I was outside when they finished and were getting ready to leave. Probably my mistake, but I trusted that he did a good job since he talked up George's caulking work so much. I should have gone in and taken a look myself. He didn't ask me to take a look at the work before leaving (a habit that good contractors should have, in my opinion). When I took a closer look after they left, I was very disappointed. The caulking in the kitchen was messy looking-lumpy and edges were not smooth. There were areas that had dirt stuck in the caulking and there was caulk on my tile and cabinets. Then I noticed that he overlooked the powder room. I texted him and told him so and also commented on how the caulking job was not very neat. He replied that he didn't know about the powder room, that it "wasn't on his list". We then talked on the phone, and he was incredibly defensive and insisted that I didn't ask him to caulk the powder room. Ridiculous since George had gone in there with me and even pulled some of the old caulking off and left it on the sink! He just never went back to finish the job. Earl insisted that it wasn't on his "list", but his "list" is only in his mind. He doesn't write anything down! Anyways, he defended George, saying that his work was "perfect". I was taken aback by his defensiveness and unwillingness to admit any wrongdoing. He spoke in an annoyed and rude tone to me. If a customer is unhappy with your work then you apologize and try to see what you can do to fix it. You don't get defensive and rude and basically make him/her feel like they are wrong to complain. Sheesh. I'm very sorry it turned out this way, but I'm back to looking for a new handyman.
