From the first meeting with them, as they assessed our home, throughly and patiently answered our barrage of questions, and clearly laid out the process of both buying and selling, we knew we had chosen the right team to guide and support us through the process. We spent months working with them and the entire time they were professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. Rolan and David accompanied us to open houses and were our first line of defense against some sleazy sellers' agents--asking questions about the houses that we wouldn't have thought to ask, and warning us against potentially troublesome homes while also finding us several homes we loved. They went to bat for us in negotiations for a house that we didn't ultimately win our bid on, were along for the ride giving us endless encouragement while we dealt with our bank, and then went through hell and high water to negotiate a reasonable price for the house we ended up buying. At the same time, they quickly found a buyer for our condo-- through their thorough advertising and outreach, as well as recommending an accurate and competitive listing price. We ended up selling at a profit which enabled us to renovate the new home. David and Rolan were constantly available to answer our questions, guide us through New York real estate hell, and they diligently worked behind the scenes to make both of our deals happen. There's a lot of stress in dealing with banks and buyers and sellers and lawyers and through all of it our brokers were amazing in their extremely friendly, no-B.S. approach to the entire process and ultimately they felt like our friends and allies. It's impossible to thank them enough!

Exceptional Real Estate Agent and Trusted Partner: Jennie Went Above and Beyond…read more From our very first conversation, we knew we were in the best possible hands with Jennie Katz of Blue Island Homes. We were selling a home in New York while living in Wisconsin, and what could have been a stressful, overwhelming process became smooth and manageable because of her care, expertise, and constant support. Jennie is everything you could hope for in a real estate agent: incredibly smart, deeply knowledgeable about the Long Island market, and fiercely dedicated to doing right by her clients. Our sale was complicated, involving powers of attorney and a lot of moving parts, but she handled every detail with calm professionalism and absolute competence. She spent countless hours on the phone with us, patiently walking us through options, answering every question, and making sure we always felt informed and comfortable. Her communication is outstanding. She updated us at every step, anticipated issues before they became problems, and explained each decision clearly so we never felt in the dark. We trusted her judgment completely, and that trust was more than earned. She found us a buyer we were genuinely thrilled with and negotiated an excellent deal that exceeded our expectations. What really sets Jennie apart is how much she truly cares. This never felt like "just another transaction" to her. She treated our home, our time, and our situation with real respect and compassion. She paid close attention to every detail and advocated for us as if we were family. On top of that, she has a fantastic network of professionals: lawyers, clean-out and dumpster services, and more, which made handling everything from afar so much easier. We honestly can't say enough good things about Jennie. We love working with her, we trust her completely, and we would recommend her without hesitation to anyone buying or selling on Long Island. If you want a real estate agent who is caring, sharp, incredibly hard-working, and absolutely on your side, call Jennie Katz at Blue Island Homes. You will be grateful you did.

Jonathan set us up with a portfolio of homes to look at based on our needs. He was constantly sending us updates when new homes came to the market. As a professional in the customer service industry myself, I appreciated Jonathan's constant follow up and confirmation. If he was unsure about something he was always on top of looking into it for us to find us the correct answer. We toured about 10 or so homes until we found the perfect fit! We finally closed yesterday and would recommend Jonathan to anyone looking to buy or sell! He is truly a ROCKSTAR and an amazing person to work with!

We started this process with very little knowledge of mortgages, bidding, taxes, and everything else that comes with homeownership, and Myriam got us up to speed quickly and in a genuinely friendly way at every step. That made a process that can feel daunting so much more manageable and approachable. Myriam has also been an exceptional resource beyond just the listings. She seemed to have a trusted contact or recommendation for anything we needed, both before and after closing. From our very first meeting, Emily's personal service was on full display and made a great impression. She was very thorough in getting to know the characteristics of my dream property, which I very much appreciated. I felt that Emily's wealth of experience in the neighborhood allowed her to provide tailored advice on what was possible and at what price range. I appreciate that she never tried to push me into things that fit outside of my range of characteristics. Her process made me feel heard. Throughout my search, Emily remained very professional and involved, keeping me informed on new listings and neighborhood trends. Whenever there was an open house or property information I needed, she was very quick to provide answers. She took a lead in addressing concerns effectively so that I didn't have to worry about issues. I spoke to Rahul the same day, and we met on a rainy evening, December 11th around 6 PM to see one home. From that day until I finalized my home, he helped me through every step of the process. As a first-time homebuyer, I wasn't aware of many details--how things work with lenders, mortgages, titles, inspections, etc. Rahul guided me through it all. He was always easy to reach via text or phone. Even if he missed a call, he would make sure to call back and check on my questions. We finalized our home in March 2025 and closed at the end of May (ironically, I found the listing myself on Zillow--haha!). But throughout the entire purchase process, whether it was dealing with the seller's agent, attorney, or mortgage lender, Rahul made it much easier for me. Even after closing, I'm still in touch with Rahul for various home-related questions. He continues to guide me and has even referred me to reliable contractors. One more thing--he's genuinely a polite, soft-spoken person who listens. He's not one of those agents who just talks over you. His calm demeanor really reflects his maturity and experience in the field. His team was also involved on a couple of occasions. I didn't get a chance to interact with Smitha, but I did meet Laura and Marta. Marta was present during the inspection and final walkthrough--and she was equally helpful. I'd definitely recommend him if you're looking for someone to help with your future home! They really know what they're doing!
