I have been to this mall a few times however it was my first time visiting LUXE. The man who worked there asked if i wanted my private area waxed i said no a joke better suited for someone else maybe a regular but not me. Then asked if i wanted my upper lip and i said no and proceed to tell another offensive joke. I was there with family and in a good mood plus was in a bit of a rush so i chose not to find another place as im not from the area but i felt as things could have gone better. Also my eyebrows came out the way I like. So that was great and all the other employees were wonderful just not the male was worked there. The receptionist was really cool and professional. Would never go back would not recommend to a friend ever paid $50 to get my nails done and one day later they were chipped seven of them were chipped. After going back to get my nails fixed and leaving the shop for 15 minutes the remaining three chipped so I went back again and got them fixed. One day later I returned again because four of my nails have once again chipped. So I returned and asked for them to repair them once again because when I got my nails done I was told that dip powder was supposed to last 2 to 3 weeks. My nails didn't last 2 to 3 days. Upon getting my nails fixed this last time I was told that this was my last time being able to get my nails repaired and if they did not stick that it was my fault. I paid $50 for my nails to last me 2 to 3 weeks if I would like to return to to three times every week to get my nails fixed if they are not lasting for the amount of time I was told that should be to. They spoke about me in their native language and before my nails were even done drying the lady told me to go. on the way home my nails messed up once again because they did not dry the amount of time that they were supposed to in the shop. Keep in mind I have dip powder and not once did they try to match the powder intensity each time that they were redone I have ombre nails when I wanted solid blue nails. Regardless of if my nails ever break again I will never be back to the salon nor recommend to a friend family member or foe. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Chrome nails are all the rave. My nail salon refuses to purchase the material to do them so I went somewhere else. I made an appointment for gold chrome nails. The guy asks me "Do you want gold or 24k gold?" I was like let's go it big and go for 24k. So he did the refill and put yellow shellac polish on my nails. Then I had to allow those to dry. He put the powder over the shellac and it looked yellow gold. It was hideous. I told him I didn't like them He took it off and polished 1 nail with white shellac and riley that dry and put the gold powder on top of that and it looked even worse. So he took off all the shellac and put black shellac and let that dry and put hologram powder on. I think the polish job itself was poor. My nails were bumpy. I paid $42 I left out and I kept looking at those nails and I was like for $42 I can't. So I went back had them take that off and another guy just painted them with shellac and they did a much better job. I was just not impressed with the workmanship read more

Worst manicure I've ever had. Manager was rude and the service was terrible. I expected more considering the overall appearance of the place tries to convey a luxury experience with designer polish and chique decor. I was rushed through by the tech. He tore into my cuticles, didn't shape my nails properly (they are jagged and lopsided), left polish on my fingers, and my French tips are uneven. And despite all the high end polish they had there, I couldn't even find a brand on the ones he used for me. Probably why there are now bubbles under my nail coats. Their excuse for bad service was that theyre short on nail techs. Do yourself a favor and don't be fooled by the nice exterior. Not worth $27. read more

Luxe looked beautiful from the outside as out-of-towners visiting a new mall. Once there, my perception quickly changed. The front desk staff was nice and Patti was phenomenal (my friend had Patti do a pedicure), but on a Saturday morning, it seemed like they only had a couple manicurists working and the wait was long. I opted out of a manicure, because of the wait as well as the very limited selection of polishes available. They only had 3 choices in the OPI Infinite Shine collection, which I love. They have a very talented henna artist on staff, too. The reason I am writing this review is because of Luxe's MISLEADING PRICES. I decided to get an eyebrow tint and asked her to pluck a few stray hairs and the lady suggested threading as a better alternative. Ok, cool. You can dye hair, without a shampoo included, right? These people charged me $25 for the tint AND $17 for threading. Maybe it's my fault I didn't clarify, but I feel that should have been explained when she genuinely suggested it as better for my brows, not an upcharge that was better for their pockets. As a professional, why would you let someone walk out of your chair with less than par brows. You would WANT to pluck those extra couple hairs so your name/brand was attached to perfection. I grudgingly paid the extorted rate of $46, but I wish I would have questioned it while there. Unfortunately, I do not live in Baton Rouge and can't have the situation remedied so take this as warning! read more

Update Review I really tried to like this place but after two days, I started losing the shellac gel polish off of my fingernails. At first I didn't make a big deal because the nail technician did warn me that they may not last due to my nails being short. However, when i showed friends and googled gel polish on short nails, I found no such warning. I got the nails done on a Saturday and they were ALL of by the next Thursday. I went to another local salon and explained what happened and asked if it could be due to my short nails. The tech assured me that my nails were fine to get gel and that if for some reason the polish came off from them in such short time, to come back and have fixed free of charge. I must say i can already tell that these will last way longer! And they were only $17. Sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for. I rather a cozy building with excellent work over a luxury building and poor work any day. Sorry I wont be back with those prices and mediocre work. read more

I get that it is New Year's Day but be honest about the wait time. So much was wrong with this place. The pedicure tubs didn't have hot water so they had to boil hot water which burned! Ok so I got my first set of acrylic nails here, so I'm not the best judge of these things, but the shape was kinda lopsided. Also this place is desperately understaffed for how many open seats they have. There's about four workers including the cashier and there's 9 manicure seats and 8 pedicure seats. I waited for about an hour to get a set of acrylic nails. The atmosphere partially makes up for this though which is why it's getting a three instead of a two. They said they took their last customer at 8 PM; we arrived at 7:30 PM and they acted like we were an inconvenience the whole time. They did our nails very lazily and rushed us out the door. This nail shop is HORRIBLE! Yea it looks cute and you would think it's new they would def try to satisfy the customer but NO that's not the case. I got there @ 5pm... it's now 6:17 and my nails are not done & ALL I wanted was a polish change with the holographic pigment. I was told only one person in the ENTIRE nail shop knew how to apply it. Being that this is the new thing in the nail industry you would think everyone in the nail shop would want to be on top of the game. This place doesn't even deserve a star. My coworker and I came on our only day off of working 12hr/days 7days/week for 2 months straight thinking we would treat ourselves. This was the worst manicure and pedicure of my life, and I paid $80. The whole experience took over 2 hours. My nails were jagged and sharp. The technician filed the skin on my toes and burned them with nail polish remover. She put so many coats on my toes that they weren't even dry after the 2 hours and ended up sticking to my socks. I complained to the manager who said they would either let me come back for a makeup pedicure (fat chance) or refund 50% of my pedicure ($15). It took over two months to receive the refund after being told on multiple occasions it was in the mail. Came to the nail salon, and we had 4 for pedicure. The girls started first (2 of them). Dude started water and put my foot in, and it was boiling hot water. I've never put my water in such horrible pain. They kept allowing people in with no wait time, and some lady soaked her hands in water for 45 minutes with no check up. Great atmosphere, extremely polite front desk, but my manicure was less than satisfactory. My service provider gladly retouched one of my nails before I left, but my crystal setting on my ring finger didn't last but 5 hours before one of them popped off in the shower. I was told my one design would last as long as a normal manicure, but this wasn't the case. I'll probably be back for a traditional manicure, but not for anything intricate as my design fell off before I flew out for my vacation. read more

I had one of the most awesome experiences ever at Luxe Nail Salon which started with the professional acknowledgement from the staff of just being there. I was kindly greeted by the receptionist asking what services I needed and was assigned to the appropriate technician to perform these services. I also was welcomed by one of the shop's owner asking if things were going well. I do realize that as a walk - in I'm not guaranteed to simply receive service right away as they do accept appointment s but they work me in timely. The techs were very professional and provided excellent service and I approved of both the mani and pedi work. I've been to several shops around town and there's no comparison to the service and definitely not the atmosphere. I've read some of the reviews and frankly find them difficult to fathom but to each it's own opinion. Bottom line is I'll be back and work through an appointment or if I got the time just walk-in. You can't beat getting great service while you sip on a cool and relaxing glass of wine or a nice margarita to soothe your nerves on your busy day. You deserve to be pampered. read more

If it takes you 1.30 to do a simple full set with regular polish, you shouldn't be working at a nail salon. And if that's not the case, the salon should charge $10 not 30 for a full set. Interior looks nice but the staff is not professional. While I was sitting there I heard how they were 'out of this and out of that, couldn't find this, didn't know how to do that..' Also, instead of tossing the almost empty bottle of nail polish, the lady that did my nails layered 2 thick coats which took an hour to dry. She would constantly pause to look up and see what was going on at the salon which drastically prolonged her work. Ive been here three times and will not be back. My first two visits were good. Yesterday was the worst service experience. I had an appointment scheduled for 4 for myself and my fiancé. He got a pedicure and they left me sitting for 30 minutes until I had to ask how long it would be. They had forgotten about me and ran back to the computer to see what my appointment was for. The two receptionist were so unprofessional and unorganized. They would rather chat and play on their phones than take care of paying clients. They kept overlooking clients that had appointments and had people just sitting and waiting for long periods of time and not saying anything. At the prices this place charges you would expect top notch service from the time you walk in to the time you leave. One of the owners walked in when I was there and did not greet any of the patrons. He saw that the salon was full and the least he could have done was greet his customers. He was only interested in checking the computer to look at sales for the day. One of his guy friends came in a little after he came and got bumped to the top for a manicure. Everyone else had been waiting for long periods of time and when his friend comes in he wanted to make sure he was taken care of immediately. What made it worse was that he turned off the music that was playing and changed the tv to have a football game playing. Sir, in a salon that had 99% women at that time why would you put on a ball game other than to appease your friend. Not a good way to run a business and make sure your "friends" are taken care of but you can't even acknowledge a shop full of patrons that are giving you money. The nail techs are all friendly and do good work but I cannot look past the behavior of the two receptionists yesterday. They are the face of this company when guests come in and being nonchalant and overlooking clients and just not caring is not something Im going to tolerate when I'm paying my money. Im glad I had not booked my private party for my bridal party at this place yet. The gel manicure does not last longer than 1 week and at the prices you charge for this they should lasts the full 2 1/2 weeks that any other salons gel manicure lasts. Went there Friday 9/23 along with a couple of my bridesmaids, mother and daughter we all got pedicures and full set theirs was fine cuz they all only got French tips which was and extra $10 and my daughter regular mani/pedi but her by Monday her polish has chipped and some of her crystal fell off, well my nails when I left there I wasn't satisfied cuz it looked messy and the polish was too thick mind I had already been there from 1:30-5pm which was my whole day and was getting married the next day so there was no time to stay or come back... so I called back Wednesday to tell them I need my nails re polished, and that they'll have to see for themselves the reason why one hand had gel polish the other hand did just about all my polish had came off within 5 days so to go there they redo them free of charge except the $7 for shaping which I feel should have been free due to an inconvenience of having to come back there but here it is the next day and 6 crystals have already come off and I haven't done any labor cause I've been on vacation, for the price they charge is would expect better quality.. I called a week in advance to schedule an appointment for my daughters 3rd birthday to assure she would receive the full Princess experience the receptionist over the phone told me that the tiaras would be available that Wednesday, so I changed my schedule to make sure she would be a princess for the day. Upon arriving to Luxe both my daughter and myself were excited that instantly changed after finding out the establishment was out of tiaras in which they never ordered from the time I called and no longer could serve mimosas as advertised on the website. I should have left at that moment but because it was my daughters birthday I choose to stay. Bad idea I got my nails done on a Thursday, a shellac manicure and my right thumb was chipped by the next Wednesday. At this moment a week and two days after my pointer finger is chipped. I paid $95 I might add and got the basic mani/ pedi combo and got shellac on my hands. Shellac is guaranteed to last at a minimum of 2weeks. I will never be returning here because there are so many other places who respect their clientele and put money spending customers first. You all didn't have to cater to her because at the end of the day she is three but the point of customer service is to make her feel special and they didn't even offer to change the tv setting to something kid friendly. I'm writing this review in hopes that you'll fix this problem, you'll false advertised multiple parts of my services and still over charged my for my services.
