I'm a plus size bride (sz 18), and we'd started our day with an appointment at another "size friendly" bridal boutique that didn't have a single thing for me to try (literally, not one!) I was coming into this appointment just a little less excited but still open minded. I was most excited to have an open mind, no specific vision and let the consultant show me anything they thought would work for me, based on our vision. When we arrived, she assured me that about 30% of their clients are plus sized and that they had many options for me to look at, and they did! I found several to try, and she listened closely to what I said I liked about each one and pulled two to try that I hadn't seen. Both of her choices made me cry when I put them on- and I did not expect that! I felt absolutely at ease with her help in the dressing room and felt genuinely celebrated and encouraged the entire time. I did not expect to leave with a dress the very first day shopping, but I did and I can't wait to wear it. She even sent us home with some extra flowers she had on hand that would match our colors, an extra step she didn't have to take but did. I'm writing this because of what happened to my sister-in-law, and I don't want another bride to go through the same thing. She ordered her wedding dress in October 2025 and was told it would arrive between June and early July 2026. After getting no updates, she contacted the designer herself and found out the boutique had never even placed her order. She's now scrambling to find a wedding dress just weeks before her wedding because of their mistake. Still no accountability from the owner. Here is the "why". In January 2026, I was contacted by the father of a current bride who was experiencing similar communication issues that I faced months ago. It was disappointing to hear that this is still an ongoing issue. After messaging him back and forth, I updated my review on another platform (Google) in February 2026 to advise other brides to do their due diligence and warn that communication was still a major issue. The owner responded back to my review and characterized my feedback as "bordering on harassment." It is EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE for a business to label a COMPLETELY HONEST REVIEW as borderline harassment. She was completely defensive, deflecting her excuses onto me and took no accountability for her actions. Her response further proves my point regarding communication as a major problem. At first, everything seemed great. Unfortunately, everything changed after I paid in full. The dress I received was not the same as the sample dress I had tried on. When I pointed out the issues, the owner apologized and promised to fix them. Instead, the alterations made everything worse. The shoulder straps ended up uneven and different widths, and the stitching was poorly done. I had to take the dress to another alterations shop, where the seamstress was shocked by the quality of the work. She immediately told me the straps would need to be completely taken apart and redone so they would be even, properly sewn, and cleanly finished. The owner offered to reimburse me for the cost of correcting these mistakes, but after I contacted her, my emails went unanswered. I ultimately had to pay for all of the corrective alterations myself. Communication was by far the WORST part of this experience. I place an order last year and was originally told my dress would arrive at the end of January, 2026. When it didn't, I called in February and was told it would definitely arrive in April. April came and went with no updates. When I contacted them again, they told me they didn't even know where my dress was. They also said their vendors were prioritizing dresses for customers who had paid hundreds of dollars extra for rush orders, even though I had ordered my dress more than a year before my wedding. Getting a response was nearly impossible. I even had to stop by the shop in person just to get an answer. My messages went unanswered, my phone calls were ignored, and there was always another excuse. Whenever something went wrong, the owner blamed the staff or the vendors instead of taking responsibility. What also made me uncomfortable was the way the owner spoke about other brides. She told me about a bride whose wedding dress still hadn't arrived even though her wedding was just around the corner, and that the bride had to alter the sample dress just to have something to wear on her wedding day. Hearing a bridal shop owner speak so casually about a client's stressful situation was incredibly unprofessional and made me wonder how she talks about her other customers behind their backs. What makes this even more disappointing is that the owner is a friend of my friend, so I expected at least a basic level of honesty, communication, and care. If this is how I was treated despite that personal connection, I can't imagine how someone with no connection at all would be treated. I dealt with months of delays, poor communication, broken promises, substandard alterations, and ultimately receiving the wrong dress. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR DRESS FROM HERE!!!!!!! Seriously, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a wedding dress from Luxe and Lace. I ordered my wedding dress in October 2025 and was told it would arrive between June and early July 2026. As that timeframe approached, I received no updates. I called the boutique two weeks ago, and they told me they would contact the designer and get back to me. I never heard from them. After hearing concerns from another boutique while dress shopping for a friend, I reached out to the designer myself. The designer confirmed that my dress WAS NEVER ORDERED. For months, I believed everything was on track, when in reality my order had never even been placed. I'm now left scrambling to find a wedding dress with very little time before my wedding. This has been one of the most stressful experiences I've had while planning my wedding. Do not choose Luxe Lace (formerly Bellevue Bridal) for your bridal needs. Picking out and ordering a dress early should be the most stress-free part of planning a wedding. Unfortunately, Luxe & Lace and its owner, Katelynn, made it the most stressful part of my daughter's nuptials. We ordered the wedding dress on May 4th, 2025. At this appointment, the stylist assured us that the dress would arrive in 6-8 months with plenty of time for alterations. After six months, we checked in with Bellevue Bridal on November 1st, 2025 to determine when the dress would arrive so that my daughter would have time to make alterations. To our surprise, Bellevue Bridal was no longer at their Bellevue location and had rebranded to Luxe Lace, moving their shop to Seattle. There was no email or phone call to notify us of the location change. Our original stylist at Bellevue Bridal had also left the company. We called and spoke to Keith at Luxe Lace who took our information, and he said he would have the owner call us back to give us a status on our dress. On November 5th, we called again and left a message as we did not receive a call from the owner. On November 6th, Keith informed us he had found our dress order and that production usually takes six to eight months. We were relieved that at least he found our dress order. I have documented our further transactions with Katelynn: January 2nd, 2026: We left a message to get a status update - no response January 3rd, 2026: Called again, Mackenzie took our call and said she would ask Katelynn to give us a call back. No response again. January 4th, 2026: We visited the storefront (Seattle) and spoke to Katelynn directly. She took our name down on Post-It notes and said she would get back to us by January 6th. We did not hear from Katelynn at all and decided on January 10th to cancel our transaction through our credit card company. Even after the credit card refund, we did not get any response from Katelynn. Our daughter, the bride, also never received any communication regarding her dress, and had to rush to find another wedding gown less than two months before her March wedding. Luxe Lace should not be in the bridal dress business if they cannot keep track of their orders and provide timely communication to their customers. No bride should have to go through an experience like this. read more

In person, the staff is lovely and friendly and helpful. However, they are impossible to reach if not in person. The phones have not worked for months. They do not respond to emails. I ordered my wedding gown 9 months ago, and they promised me it would arrive in 6-8 months. My wedding is in 3 months and I have tried to contact them multiple times for an update with no response. I even resorted to DM-ing them on instagram since phone and email weren't working. I love my dress, but will not be recommending this bridal studio to anyone as it has been extremely stressful and I'm still dress-less 3 months out even though I ordered it over a year in advance of the wedding! I was lucky to say "yes" to the dress at Bellevue Bridal Boutique! My first visit to the shop was in December 2019 with a few of my girlfriends. Their new Bellevue location is so convenient with plenty of parking spots in their lot. Upon entering the shop, I was blown away by their selection - rows of lace, beading, sparkles and more! I was working on a fast schedule - my goal was to order my dress in January for my upcoming wedding in September 2020. Little did I know that COVID was right around the corner - yikes! The shop itself ended up having to close appointments temporarily due to the shutdown. However, the boutique did a great job in keeping me informed on the production of my dress. I received an email notification that my dress had arrived in store in April, and that I would be receiving another notification regarding pick-up once the shop was reopened. After picking up my dress, I ended up having to postpone the wedding entirely, so the dress sat in the back of my closet for awhile. :( I reached back out to the boutique in February 2021 for their recommendation on dress alterations. As they have one seamstress on staff, they suggested I start alterations about 2-3 months before my wedding date. I ended up scheduling three total alteration appointments with their seamstress leading up to my wedding in June. The seamstress was so personable and friendly, and made the whole process anxiety free. I appreciate that the boutique took the extra step to make me feel reassured during such a turbulent time, and I felt so beautiful on the day of my wedding in the final product. :) read more

Hello future brides, please read! I have never left a review before on yelp but my experience with Embrace Bridal/ Luxe Lace/ Bellevue Bridal has prompted me to do so. First off, 3 positive things and the only reasons I am not leaving a 1 star review: The plus size dress selection was amazing, the ordering/modification department was easy to ask about, and the pickup process is simple. Here's the kick in my experience. I placed my order at Embrace Bridal in u district Seattle May of 2024. As of August 2025 I received a call my dress was ready for pickup 15 MONTHS LATER from a different bridal salon called luxe lace. The initial arrival time of my gown was roughly one year Jan of 2025-March 2025. I had called and asked about my dress December 2024, Jan of 2025, February 2025 March 2025, June of 2025. Only once did I receive communications back, thankfully the owner was kind enough to speak to me on why there was a delay their business had moved 3 times within this timeframe of ordering my dress. which is when she informed me even though I paid $3000 roughly for my dress in March of 2024 my wedding date had changed to November of 2025 so she expressed that "the dressmakers prioritize constructions of the dresses based on wedding dates so because yours changed they waited to make and deliver your dress" had I known my purchase date did not matter and it was at the discretion of the business they source the dresses from I never would have purchased. Additionally, my wedding was cancelled due to personal health issues which is also when the owner proceeded to ask me twice why I cancelled my wedding and she asked again "well maybe you can still use the dress in the future" when she told me no refunds or credit or consignment opportunities besides blue sky dress consignment (third party). I really wanted to like this business, I really was excited about this opportunity but this experience was a disappointment and an example of why communication and transparency is so important. read more

We had a terrible experience at this Salon. Dress ordered in March. Our salesperson, Tammi, did a great job. Unfortunately, she was let go. Dress did not arrive until the end of July. We had a fitting. It took three hours because there was not enough help. When we went back for our scheduled appointment for a 2nd fitting, the Salon had moved to Seattle and no one told us. We were furious. We had to drive to Seattle to their new location. Don't park in the garage. It is very steep and I scraped the bottom of my car driving in and out. The alterations were not perfect. Kathy is fantastic, professional and qualified. However, we are not happy with a particular side of the breast. During this process, she was never available. Her employees tried, but it is not ok to make excuses for the owner. The customer service is non existent. I have purchased four wedding dresses over the years at this Salon. This bridal store was the WORST thing that happened to me during my wedding planning period. As a preface: I already got a full refund through my bank due to their lack of professionalism and communication. I ordered my dream dress 5.5 months before the wedding date because I wanted to have it early and get some pictures taken ahead of time. This store told me that the dress would arrive in 2 months and I should expect to pick it up in 2.5 months. 2 months past by, no communication, then 2.5 months past by no communication. I called them 3 months later to ask if my dress is ready and I was told to wait another 2-3weeks. I told them that I need it in 2 weeks because of my photoshoot but they kept pushing and pushing. They said that the owner will call me but she never did. I got so fed up that I filed a dispute with my bank about them. I finally got a message from them to pick up the dress FOUR MONTHS later and at that time I told them about the dispute. They dared to accuse me of overreacting and trying to get away from paying for the dress because I found a different dress. It's CRAZY! I only started looking for another dress AFTER I filed a dispute and even had to get a sample dress because all of the other bridal shops said that it's to late to get anything custom and might get too late to have alterations if I wait for more than two weeks! It was so stressful and I had to make it work. Bellevue bridal (newly named Luxe and Lace) still ruined the wedding planning process for me and caused so much stress I cannot even find word to explain. My recommendation is to never buy a wedding dress this place where they stop communicating after the sale was made! Each time, she'd help adjust the dress for fitting to give me an idea or what it would look like in my size. She brought some hair accessories for me to try on to complete the look and took cute photos of my mom and me once we picked out my dress. After my last experience at Bellevue Bridal Boutique, the owner reached out to me on here as well as a private email. She was super professional and very apologetic. She immediately went to work. She talked to her employee who was our sales associate that day and put her back on more training. She genuinely cares about her business as well as her customer's. She wanted to make sure to put the right corrective actions in place and seems to be very in tune to her business. I appreciate her reaching out to me and working with me to still try on the dress she had pulled aside. The owner and I made another appointment to come in to look at the specific bridesmaid dress. My bridesmaids and I came back a second time, a little apprehensive because we weren't sure if they were going to be hostile/awkward towards us. But once we got there, they greeted us super warmly and showed us to our little area. They also kindly took us in for an appointment even though I'm pretty sure they were all booked and made room for us. They had already pulled the dress for us and also had another style very similar to the one I wanted to see. While my bridesmaid tried them on, the manager was super friendly and engaging. In the end, we loved the dress and with good advice (a slightly heavier material for my outdoor fall wedding) from Stephanie, I decided on purchasing that particular bridesmaids dress from them. The owner was also very generous with the price, more than making things right. They also gave me a couple of choices of how to order, I opted to just get all the bridesmaids measurements and send them to her, while paying for it myself up front. They also gave me the option of just having each bridesmaid calling in and paying it for themselves. Some of my bridesmaids took a little longer to get their measurements to me, but when I got back to them, they were super nice about it, and everything was super quick and easy with payments. She was able to help me find the dress that I had been trolling on Pinterest, PERFECTLY Needless to say, it was winner. I didn't know what to expect going wedding dress shopping. I can say this experience was better than I could have anticipated. It was warm, easy and not stressful at all. This shop is so cute and really makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The dresses are more affordable than I've seen especially for the quality level! I said yes to my dress here after going to 3 other shops in the area and I'm soooo happy I did. I just got married and got some sneak peeks back and the dress is even more gorgeous in pictures. One thing to keep in mind - my dress did take nearly 10 months to come in (this is not the shops fault, this is the designer prioritization schedule) so just keep in mind when shopping for your dress! My alterations were done here as well and were perfect for my day - I told her I had a choreographed dance with lifts and I'd need my a-line dress to be completely off the floor and she delivered! None of my bustles broke (a 9 point bustle due to how much fabric and train there was) and I was dancing rather aggressively by the end of the night. Overall, super happy with everything! read more

Great location, lovely employees, largest selection of bridesmaids dresses in all of Seattle! The bride and I searched high and low for bridesmaids dresses in the Seattle area and agreed that Bellevue Bridal had the most options. The shop isn't anything fancy, but they have beautiful dresses and a nice large 2nd floor suite. I made the appointment here a couple days in advance and we actually got there early after having brunch across the street. They were able to accommodate us and get us into a fitting room right away. They carry several bridesmaid dress lines and they are organized by designer along the far wall. I really appreciated this as the bride wants us all to wear the same designer and fabric dresses but we can choose which style we prefer. We weren't rushed here and the girl who helped us was super sweet. The only downside to this shop is on a warm day they could use some fans to cool down the fitting rooms. read more

This is the best wedding dress shop! We went to 5 different places in search of THE one. Had some pretty disappointing experiences at other salons, and it was such a relief when I finally came to Bellevue. I got to work with Elise and she is amazing! Request her to be your consultant if you can. When I called to make the appointment, I asked if they had 2 specific dresses in store to try and the girl said they would pull them. When I came in, Elise greeted us and already had them waiting for me, awesome customer service! They have a large selection and the boutique itself was elegant and comfortable that makes you feel beautiful already! Stephanie made everything so much easier, she has the perfect combination of sweet, direct and honest! I had freedom and time to pick out dresses that I like, and she was able to immediately gage my style and picked couple dresses that I loved too. First off, I can't believe I'm leaving a review for a bridal shop! Ahhh! (In a good way - I'm so excited). Bellevue Bridal was the first place I went to and met with Taylor (who stuck with me and helped me get my dress). I personally hate when sales associates fluff things up or say nice things about a piece of clothing even when it's obviously ugly on lol. Taylor was great about not doing that!! She was honest in the best way, knew which dresses I loved and knew how to phrase things in the perfect way. Everyone there was super friendly every time I went in (because I was hella indecisive and had to go in multiple times). Overall, Bellevue Bridal is awesome and highly recommend it! Of course, they might not have your style of dresses - which is fine! But if you're looking for feeling completely invited and comfortable at a bridal shop, go here :) Thank you Taylor and team! I went to Bellevue Bridal initially because it was local ( I live on the eastside) and because they carried a selection of Essence of Australia dresses. I brought a few close friends/family and it was a very good experience. The level of comfort, peacefulness, and excitement they were able to provide allowed me to find my perfect dress. I also visited at least one other store that same day, but I knew that I would go back to get the dress from Bellevue Bridal. The seamstress Julie is incredibly accomodating, you can tell she wants you to have the absolute perfect fit. I was worried about tugging and the bustle, but it was honestly perfect. We purchased my daughter's bridal gown at Bellevue Bridal, and couldn't have been better taken care of. She had a specific gown in mind, Essence of Australia, and they had it! They accommodated all of the bridesmaids and myself while she chose a dress, and were so warm and lovely. All of the appointments were on time, and they always made us feel as if we were the only ones there. So special. The seamstress is a magician, I swear! She is lovely, and so very talented. Not to mention thoughtful. Without any prompting whatsoever, she handed me a lovely little piece of the lace from my daughter's dress to do something with as a keepsake. Isn't that sweet? read more

I cannot say enough how great of an experience I had here! Stephanie was amazing from the moment we walked in! She had me and my "crew" pick out a few dresses and pulled a couple she thought I would like as well. She was the perfect amount of involved with the appointment and helped share her opinion while also giving space to let me process how I was feeling!
