During the installation he showed me how the floor gets inserted and answered all my questions. He saw a drawer where we put our silverware was broken and fixed it in 5 min, (that drawer has been broken for over 2 years) after every day he talks to us, shows us what they've done, and helps us plan and prepare for the next day. I'm sharing our experience with Azores Remodeling so other homeowners can make an informed…read moredecision. We hired them for two bathroom remodels. While the tile work turned out nicely, we had significant concerns about their knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, and building-code requirements. Two drains were initially installed using flexible accordion tubing and improper trap configurations. When we raised the issue, the contractor admitted they sometimes improperly install drains, stating that "usually no one cares." They initially proposed an S-trap, which is also not to code. To their credit, they ultimately corrected the plumbing at no additional cost. The framing was another major concern. Azores planned to cut through wall studs for recessed mirrors and niches without properly addressing the structural framing. The contractor admitted they were unfamiliar with the applicable building codes, and we ultimately had to properly frame two of the mirrors ourselves. We also have remaining issues we are addressing ourselves, including a shower handle that came off, a broken outlet that no longer fits properly, drywall damage around another outlet and paint around a fixture they replaced. I just did not expect to have to do this much myself. I'm not sure what value this company actually brought. Communication and oversight were also a concern. Azores was readily available during the first four weeks but became nearly nonexistent during the second four weeks, when many of these issues arose. We were also repeatedly contacted about our low-star review. We found it disappointing that so much attention was given to the review rather than ensuring the work on our home was completed correctly. I also seriously hope they will just leave us alone now. The tile looks nice, but a good finish does not make up for inadequate trade knowledge, planning, and oversight. I recommend that homeowners carefully evaluate Azores' construction expertise before hiring them.

I initially hired Azores to start work on a master bathroom remodel in January of 2026. The scope…read moreof the project was to take an existing shower with separate tub and turn it into a cabinet space and large walk in shower. We paid the contractor $13,177, not including all of the supplies we had to purchase, which brought us closer to about $17000. They began work in january and we had many issues throughout. The first issue was that the slope of the shower floor was improperly done and the tiles we had chosen we placed and so misaligned that we had to bring it up to them. We were told that the tile shouldnt have been used because it was too hard, but we purchased mosaic tile like they had requested. They then redid the tile and used a black penny tile, which was not what we had wanted in our design, but was what they said they had the skill to do. They didn't correct the slope of the floor at this time and the tile was still so poorly aligned and didn't drain properly. They then came back and redid the slope and the tile as well. There were MANY cosmetic defects that we were accepting because we had been without a usable shower for a month at this point. We only have two bathrooms and all 5 of us were sharing a shower which was very inconvenient. After about a week we noticed that the black grout was turning white at the seam of the wall and floor on the side where the plumbing was located. A few weeks later we notice that water is seeping in through the grout keeping a portion of our grout wet constantly. We raised this concern in march of 2026. They came and had a plumber look in the drain and said that the drain was too small for a shower and that the p-trap wasnt up to code for a shower. All of this was part of the contract for them to pull permits and make sure everything was up to code, which we later found out never happened. The communication was horrid throughout the entire company. So many times we had crews not show up when they said they woudl or we just wouldn't hear from them for weeks. They then wanted to charge us an additional $2400 to redo the drain, though I told them I didnt believe this was the issue. Fast forward to June of 2026 and no one has addressed the issue and now we have water into our master bedroom. There is water under the floor and the $3000 cabinet we had built. We had to pay $600 for the cabinet to be removed so they could find out why. Turns out it had been leakinng into the wall THE ENTIRE TIME. The scope of work at this point had shifted to tearing out the wall and plumbing repair, removing the shower door, and ripping out the shower pan and bottom row of wall tile. They were also supposed to replace the back of the niche and correct the slope of the upper shelf because it was significantly over-sloped (I brought this up during building and was ignored). When the workers came, which was only on weekends at this point, they told us that we were just being worked in between their jobs. They said they weren't ever told about the niche and so they didnt touch that at all. They left holes throughout the grout that they have know about for months now and still have not corrected. They were supposed to come yesterday (sunday) and no showed. So we are leaving this review to warn people that this company is to be avoided. This doesnt even cover all of it. I am so upset almost everytime I take a shower because the workmanship is just so poor. I'm very sad that I wasted so much money and time.

Our install was not the best experience due to the distributor cancelling our order for some…read morereason. We picked out our flooring two months in advance, and Abraham said that the distributor must have assumed that it was canceled because the install was not until two months later. I did not hear from them in the weeks leading up to our install so I called a week in advance to see if we were still good to go and they assured that everything was still set for the date we picked. Anyways, my husband had taken the week off of work and they only had enough engineered hardwood flooring to do one room. They went ahead and did the carpet in the bedrooms by Friday of that week. They didnt start on the rest of the house until the following Monday. So we had to takeoff work again, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The workers showed up on time on Monday to rip up the flooring. They didn't show up until noon on Tuesday to install the new flooring so they were still working up until 8 o'clock that night and were still not finished by that evening so they had to come back out Wednesday morning to finish. Needless to say this drug on for almost 2 weeks with our house being turned upside down, not being able to get to our stuff or Cook in our kitchen. I requested that Abraham hire a cleaning service to clean our house because we both had to go back to work and didn't have time to put it back together until the following weekend. He agreed and he did send someone out the next day and they did an impeccable job cleaning the house and getting rid of the dust. I will say had the distributor not canceled our order, we probably would've had a better experience and it would've been done in a timely manner. I think that it's a reputable place and they're honest people. They could work on their communication skills a little better. Would I recommend them again yes because overall the work was good and they did try to make it right after the mistake happened.
