Unprofessional lack of follow through. I travel a lot and never had a wose experience. Asheley let us down.

I had a very disappointing experience with AAA on March 25, 2026, in Austin, TX…read more I initially requested a tow truck due to a dead battery in my diesel truck but instead, AAA dispatched a battery technician. During the service, the technician attempted to jump-start the vehicle using a high-amperage jumper, which resulted in multiple blown fuses. As a result, the vehicle developed electrical issues and error codes. I ended up purchasing two batteries from AAA just to get the truck running, but the underlying damage required additional diagnosis and repairs. The dealership service findings confirmed that fuses in the battery junction box and body control module had shorted and needed replacement before the system could be restored and codes cleared. After contacting AAA and requesting that they cover the repair costs caused during the service visit, my claim was denied. I have been a AAA member for 18 years and this experience has seriously made me question the reliability of their service, especially when the dealership provided a report proving the damage occurred during the AAA service call AAA arranged. I strongly believe AAA needs to review dispatch accuracy (tow vs. battery service), and how customer claims are handled in situations like this. I hope AAA will reconsider their position and make this right.

I booked the rooms under the impression I would have access to pre-sale tickets for the event. Before the pre-sale started, I was emailed and told there were no tickets available. I even waited two months to see if something would change. Absolutely no communication occurred. As you can imagine, evebrusllu this made the entire trip pointless. When canceling I was told I have to pay an administrative fee. However, I asked why I would have to pay a fee when I am not able to attend the event through no fault of my own? Especially when this was all done through the official sponsors and their partners. Seems rather devious and makes me question the integrity of this organization, F1, the associated promoters and the hotel group. So far, Quintrooms has not been helpful in reclaiming a full refund. They only blame their partners and insist that everything is out of their control. I wouldn't ever book hotels if this corrupt organization is involved, go direct. And for hotels and event promoters, stay away from working with this organization. They seem to enjoy throwing their partners under the bus.

I hadn't had much luck and was getting very frustrated with the process. Luckily for me, the Hampton Suites returned my call, and even though they had no rooms available, they referred me to Neil at Austin Hospitality. Austin Hospitality started about a year ago, helping us regular joe schmos, wedding planners, event coordinators, etc; book hotels rooms for large groups and special events, at no charge to us. Having never done this before, I didn't know where to start. After quick conversation, he knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me tons of advice, then did all the leg work for me. I got to kick back, enjoy my weekend, then when I got back to work, Neil followed up with me with rates (which he negotiated for me) and contracts. Not only does he have tons of Austin hotel experience, he also knows about what is happening in this city, so he could really be an asset for someone that lives outside of Austin looking for help booking something here. He even gave me advice on where to go on the 4th of July. I'm kind of sad that I don't have any more rooms to book, because I really enjoyed working with him.

The Quintessential Texas Hill Country Day Out!…read more If you're looking for the perfect blend of Texas hospitality, smoky BBQ, and scenic vineyard views, look no further than the Austin Detours Hill Country BBQ & Wine Shuttle. I recently took this tour in February, and it was the highlight of my weekend (as I'm a local). Whether you are a local hosting out-of-towners or looking for a professional team-building outing, Austin Detours provides a seamless, stress-free way to experience the best of Central Texas. 5/5 recommend! Our day started at the Austin Visitor Center where we met our driver, Luke, who was fantastic throughout the trip. We hopped into a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van for a smooth 40-minute drive out to the hills. One of the best parts of these tours is the people you meet. Our group included travelers from Ontario and Brazil, and it was wonderful swapping stories about their first impressions of Texas while we cruised toward our first stop. We started strong at this legendary BBQ spot - The Salt Lick. After placing our orders for some of that famous fall-off-the-bone brisket, we took a quick walk over to Salt Lick Cellars to grab some wine. Pro tip: Salt Lick is BYO, so being able to grab a bottle right there to pair with the BBQ is a game changer. Next up was Driftwood Estate Winery which was pure relaxation. We grabbed a bottle, found a spot under a massive oak tree, and just took in the incredible Hill Country views. Our new international friends joined us after their tasting, and the conversation was just as good as the wine. Our final stop at Fall Creek Vineyards was originally meant for a formal tasting, but the interior was buzzing and a bit loud. Since the Texas weather was doing us a massive favor -- sunny and nearly 80°F in February! -- the group opted to buy a few bottles and head outside to the fire pit. It was the perfect way to wind down. The drive back to the Austin Visitor Center flew by. We were all chatting, sharing snacks, and enjoying a final beverage in the van. A few things to keep in mind: The $69 price is for the expert guide and transport. You'll want to budget about $35 for BBQ and $10-$25+ for wine tastings/bottles. The Vibe was incredibly flexible. Whether you want to do a formal tasting or just split a bottle by a firepit with new friends, the pace is up to you.
