The person who helped me was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about what I asked for, and offered to order them for me since they didn't have them in stock. She also offered to help me find something that may be suitable, but also said that if I've had great success with what I came in looking for, that it is generally a good idea to stick with it. I asked how long they'd been in business, and the employee said almost 19 years. That is very impressive. The store was roomy and clean, and featured a very large selection. Parking can be a bit tricky as Foot Traffic is in a very busy strip mall, and parking spaces fill up quickly. The man who sold me this pair of Hoka One One is perhaps the most vivacious, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and happy person I have ever met in a shoe store. He is the antithesis of Al Bundy. I need time for tattoos, meeting my cousin for the first time, and other vacation type stuff) anyway the point is my feet are tired. Hoka is to feet what Visine is to a stoner's eyes. So I went in there. This guy was like a super happy positive ant lion. There was no possible way I was leaving without a pair of shoes, less I endure the sight of his bright smile faltering for just one second. And I don't regret it. But there's more. You see I missed my flight this morning because of a delay and the airline had to reschedule it all, and comp me a hotel room near this shopping mall. So instead of going home today, I'm stuck next to 20 acres of retail, which thankfully includes bars. Four margaritas in, I'm wandering around again and I see him walking a couple out. Each has the exact same bag that I had, with the same blue box emblazoned with the same brand. They are praising him for his knowledge and thanking him for the $600 they just dropped. But I need walking shoes for an upcoming trip, so I tried Shoe Mill. It was a pleasant surprise to find they still use "old-fashioned" approach here. Instead of slinging boxes at me and leaving me to sort it out, the salesperson, Susan, helped me through the entire visit. She listened to what I needed and was very knowledgeable about the shoes and proper fit. It took 10-12 pairs to find what I was looking for and she was upbeat and kind the whole time, while also helping several other customers. I ended up with two pairs of walking shoes that are not only comfortable, but super cute! Best shoe shopping experience I've had in years and I'm actually looking forward to my next visit.

This seems to be the case with many stores at the Columbia Gorge Outlets, they are not true outlets with discounted prices.
