I am pretty particular about the shape and length of my nails, I have longer nails and I love fancy ones! Ann is the greatest. 0 stars if that was an option. Went there last minute for Mother's Day nails and they looked okay in the salon until I walked outside and really looked at them... I realized she cut me but I wasn't too bothered until I realized she glued my cut cuticle onto the nail so it would stop bleeding. It's been 5hrs since I got them done and my finger burns soooooo bad 3 of my fingers were hurt. & let's not talk about my mom's nails she wanted both her big toes fixed as they were previously done at another salon and wasn't too happy about the French tip shape. Yes her shape was fixed nicer. But now her big toes have bleeding cuts on top and on both sides of her 2 big toe nails that were made as they were getting shaped and filed. I'm new to the area and I came in to get a pedicure. When I arrived, I had no nail appointment. Michelle told me to go to pedicure bed number three. I explained to her that I had ingrown toenails and she told me that I needed to let them grow out. With my past knee technician of 20 years, she never mentioned to me that I needed to let them grow out. Michelle cut my toenails and broke pieces in there and left them. She then said you need to see a podiatrist. She spilt wax all over my shoes and said what's the big deal I'm cleaning them up. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. My nails were absolutely DESTROYED by this nail spa. Instead of using nail polish remover they drilled the color off, my nails feel so weak. I asked for a round shape and noticed her accidentally cut off a part of my pinky nail and deny it (I started to bleed). The manicurist began to get upset with me after I asked her to fix the shape the second time. My sister neice, and I decided last minute that we wanted to get pedicures. We called one place that had better reviews but they couldn't get us in until next week. We called here but they don't take appointments. We decided to try them anyway and I'm glad we did. The wait was faster than we thought and they did a great job. It was clean and my toes turned out beautifully. For the actual pedicure, I'd give it 5 stars. Some things that keep it from overall 5- can't make appointments (I'd love to schedule with the same guy again), they don't accept debit/credit (but have an atm in store for covienence), and be clear if you don't want gel nails (I'm used to picking a color from the sample nails and them asking about gel or not. This isn't the case here. If you pick from the sample nails you will get gel. My bad for not clarifying). None of these things will keep me from going back because they genuinely did a good job. I plan on going again in the future and might try a mani/pedi combo. read more

Always told myself that I would wait for a bad enough experience somewhere to write my first yelp review and today is that day. This appointment took 15 minutes (speaks for itself) and during those 15 minutes I've never been roasted harder by a nail technician. Commenting on my rings, how thin my nails are, how the braids in my hair make me look too young. What bothers me most is the quality of work. I am happy to wait but don't get argumentative with me in front of the entire place when another person was called again before me. The owner is extremely rude and condescending. I should have read the reviews before coming here. It all makes sense now. They said 40 minute wait time for party of 3. After waiting an hour and a half (we should have just left) they sat us in the chairs for another hour before even starting our pedis. Tyson did my nails. He was pleasant, but he paid more attention to the worker beside him, than doing nails. Nails were cut crooked. Acrylic was applied, and shaped unevenly. Left side of nail thin, right side had huge wedge. Every nail had Acrylic underneath nail tips. Nails still had Acrylic dust and crumbs when gel was applied. The next day, gel polish was wrinkly and would indent when pushed. Top layers on several fingers were peeled. Took me an hr to file, reshape, and polish my Nails. Very disappointing. read more

So they say $40 for a deluxe pedicure is 40 minutes but they spend about 1/2 that time doing the pedicure. She hardly trimmed my cuticles and the massage was lack luster at best. Had my nails done at Lux Nail & Spa today. The owner did my nails. He did not get the polish on my whole nail and left my nails so that I had to clean up the rough edges. The salon is very clean. They have an ATM machine so you have to use it so you can pay them in cash. According to there menu they nickel and dime you to death. read more

I on the other hand got 2 nails replaced a fill and gel polish, they charged me 37$ I didn't like the original French tip I wanted because he left nail polish under so they looked less than appealing. After asking for a new color he said it was too late because he already put light on it. I was going to California for spring break and had a gift certificate for the Lux Salon, so I was excited to get a pedicure and manicure before I went. I went right after school, and I waited awhile before a technician, Jackie, could take care of me. My bad experience started right after I had asked him to not clip my toe nails, then he grabbed the clippers and clipped them shorter than I had ever had them clipped, so that red skin was showing for days afterwards. I was surprised by it and it was too late to say anything more by the time he had them clipped. All I can say is that it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience! He pinched my skin several times with his extra long finger nails and it hurt. He was making inappropriate jokes with the other technician. Then speaking across the salon to the manicurist in another language, about me? So I couldn't know what they were saying? IDK! They spoke fine English, so that seemed suspect. I had asked for a mat finish, and he told me that would be $5 more and I said that would be fine. But then he didn't do it. I was caught off guard by the unkind and unprofessional treatment. Now wishing I had said something at the time. Then he took me to the manicure station to do my manicure. He started with a drumel on my cuticles, speaking to the other manicurist in the other language, then he said to me, "she will finish you." He got up and left and I was relieved! She was nicer than Jackie, but it was now closing time and it seemed she hurried through it, not getting my cuticles done well, so after she put polish on my nails it looked as if the manicure was a couple weeks old with gap between polish and skin. She did do the mat finish but I was surprised how the finish looked, like sand paper making me think she hurried or skipped something. I was so disappointed and embarrassed with the results! As soon as I got back from vacation I went back in to ask them to fix the manicure and they said it would be a 45 minute wait, which unfortunately I couldn't wait that long. I went to another salon where they took off the ugly mess. The sad thing was that as I waited for my turn that day, the technicians were friendly and laughing with the customers before me, and I was enjoying the experience, until Jackie came to me and the friendliness switched off. I was really taken back by the whole miserable experience and I would never recommend this salon to anyone! read more

This was recommended by a co-worker, so I gave them a try the other day. As others have stated, you cannot use a debit or credit card, there is an ATM at The check out, which charges 2$. I was seated right away, and placed in the water for my pedicure. The gal was chatty, pleasant, but shared TMI. She really didn't do any work on the Cuticles, no callous scrub other than with the fake pumice bar. I selected the Royal pedicure because I wanted a long massage. Legs were massaged, but not well. I bring my own polish, she used lots(put it on thickly) I'll see how that goes. Overall not impressed for the money. Let me start by saying the staff is friendly. Unfortunately that's where my good review ends. I needed to have my acrylic nails removed and requested a gel manicure. They removed my acrylic nails by forcing a fake nail tip between the acrylic and my natural nail, and it was very painful. No soaking at all. Obviously this left my natural nails in very poor condition. Then my gel "manicure" consisted of buffing my nails down and trimming my cuticles until they bled (pictured). The application of gel polish was extremely poor (also pictured). I hate to bash this place because their staff was super friendly but the experience was so very subpar. I really tried to like this place and overlooked how rude the owner is. I understand that they don't take appointments to maximize their income and how many clients they get but the waiting and their "system" is just absurd. I got my nails done twice with Tyson (the owner) and both times left unhappy not only because he has a horrible attitude when you explain what you want but also because the polish was too thick. Last time I was there I wanted to get the same color for both my hands and toes, hi finished my hands and then after a 30 min wait to get my pedicure started they Told me that I had to choose a different color because they didn't have the one I just used. Needless to say they didn't even try to find it or figure out something to help me. I decided to not get any nail polish but of course I was charged the full amount. They have amazing staff like Erica, Gigi and Jason but the fact that the actual owner has the worst costumer service skills makes not want to go back again.
