New to the area and found the salon online, with no rec for someone specific to see. Got an acrylic fill with Laura. The fill was fine, but slow. I asked for a french manicure and the painting was bad. The white is all uneven and while it was clear she was trying, she just wasn't good at painting on tips. I would probably go back for a solid polish, but a fill also shouldn't take 1.5 hours for a fill. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been getting my hair done by Asia for about 11 years now. During this long timeframe, I've tried everything in between blonde to brunette (nearly platinum, highlights, low lights, ombre, all the way to almost black). I've been vibrant purple and all sorts of colors. I've tried short cuts, long cuts, and several different types of extension. *She is very strong in hair extensions. The reason I bring this up is because she slays them all. I've seen her flex a wide array of skills and she always kills it, so I feel safe having fun and switching things up. Asia is both amazing talented and very personable. I've never walked out her salon without feeling as gorgeous as I look, or noting how smart Asia is for how she's set up her business. Her website is how I found her - as a designer myself, I was instantly impressed at the depth of the site's content which addressed everything I wanted to know (and more) about hair extensions. And I love how she's set up her own private studio. The Sola system clearly empowers stylists. It lets them focus on their clients and their craft. The experience is very refreshing because, short of people walking by and waving hello, her studio is just us and she is her own boss - there are no other stylists or the usual trappings of a traditional salon. It gets so unpleasant to hear the cacophony of drama and gossip, or worse, to see your own stylist get side-eyed or undermined for purposes of client poaching. In the last 20 years, my salon experiences before Asia could be summed up as 5% hair care, and 95% non-factual discussions of rapid weight loss, conflicts with the other salon stylists, lousy men and divorce. Asia's best skills are coloring and extensions. See my picture? That's Asia's vivid but natural work (I am actually a dishwater blonde recovering from an unwanted mullet cut courtesy of another stylist). I love getting extensions as well - it's not exorbitantly expensive or time consuming with the product line she uses. Asia also does not have a fixation on cutting off as much hair as she can - she's a long hair stylist and kind to grow-outs. Having patronized luxury salons in Los Angeles and Orange County, I have no qualms saying Asia is better. I almost want to keep her a secret! read more

I called her up, asked her a couple of questions and then visited her salon so that she could see my hair texture to ensure the Keratin Smoothing treatment was ok for me. Got the "OK!" and ended up getting a hair cut, keratin smoothing treatment for my curls and I was absolutely satisfied with the style!
