Because Yelp reviews led me to this salon, I felt that it is only fair to write about my own experience. I am usually pretty diligent in seeking out a quality hair salon with a stylist that is reputable in giving exactly what the customer wants. In this instance, I was only looking to get a 2-3 inch trim. I came in with hair that almost reached my waist. I asked for a trim with no more than 3 inches cut off from the length. I wanted squared long layers and framing in the front with a bang trim. The stylist here took a lengthy cut at the beginning prior to fully combing out my hair to its full length. I reminded her again that I only wanted 2-3 inches and she kept assuring me that the length was still there but kept proceeding to bring large amounts of hair from the back of my head to the front to match the length. She then took a large snip for bangs while my hair was still wet. Having been a hair model for international hair artist long ago and frequenting high end salons, I should have probably jumped off the chair after that first snip since her cutting technique was so different than what I was accustomed to. I deeply regret not stopping the cut at the beginning but she was really sweet and I was hoping that it would turn out okay. It didn't. There was no point in telling her that I was unhappy about the cut since there was no way to bring the length back and I was not going to allow her to cut any more off. Maybe I should have said no shorter than my bra strap. Maybe there was a little of a language barrier. Maybe she was tired. My husband picked me up and felt that it was the worst haircut he has ever seen on me and we have known each other since 2000. We were suppose to go out to dinner but I had to go home to try and restyle my hair after she had styled it with a round brush that only had a 1/2 inch barrel. I currently can no longer wear my hair straight since the layers were cut very choppy. For a busy working mom, that is just unacceptable. My once almost waist length hair is now about 6 inches past my shoulder in the back. I only gave 2 stars because she was actually really sweet but I do not plan on going back and would not recommend this salon due to my own experience. read more
