It was like walking into some pinterest version of my dream home. Giftwares for the whimsical, light and airy, modern-bohemian-hipster person in your life (or yourself), this store had so much that I would want, including the serving bowl size versions of the dish set I already own. Below, a taste: *door transformed into mail sorting artwork *hooks and drawer pulls, a plenty *bright - but not overly modern bright - coloured throw pillows *kitchen gadgets *glass decanters for the mid century fiends *table lamp with a bird on a branch as the stand *table linens in subdued patterns Downside - finding out it's mostly made in China stuff. But, then again, it also is reasonably priced, which makes it a better version of Anthropologie in my books.

Need to decorate your pad?…read more Just come here. Seriously this is a gigantic Winners and Homesense all-in-one location at the Place Versailles mall, literally steps away from Radisson metro station. Like all Winners and Homesense, it can be hit or miss but I've walked away with more hits than misses at this particular location. You'll find all sorts of unique items for your home if you like to decorate like I do. Recipe books, rugs, olive wood cutting boards, vanity mirrors, hand-blown glass vases from Poland, you'll find all of that here and much more. I think because this location is farther away from the city center, it seems to stock better stuff. Not a big deal. If you're on the metro, it is about 20 minutes from downtown, but keep your ear buds on or read a book and you'll be here in no time. Also, if you like picking up and collecting quality recipe books, this Homesense is the best place for it. I have picked up classics like the 2 volume boxed set of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child, the classic of Italian cooking "The Silver Spoon", "The Gourmet Cookbook Vol. I and II", all of it in hardcover and for a fraction of what you would pay for them anywhere else. The Julia Child set I often see online for $60+. I picked it up here for $30. It's always worth stopping here and looking because stock changes all the time here and you'd be very surprised what you'll find.

All of it is very authentic and industrial, a lot of the pieces are very unique. The only downside is the prices, which can be high. Their style was fresh and modern but also had some classic clean items plus bold colours. Since their foray into Canada they have carried this similar business model that I once remembered 20 years ago when visiting the gargantuan stores in SF, NYC and Chicago. The store here at Carrefour Laval is well laid out nicely decorated and offers lots of items. However I'm a bit surprised how much their items appear to cost in Canada. Sure I know this place is not Ikea particle board furniture AKA kill your fingers putting together with a mini hex wrench. However Cadillac Fairview (Carrefour Laval) must be charging a stranglehold rent for them to have to charge what they do for items at a mall location. Selection is very good and they have high quality items. Really you can decorate the house to make your place look snazzy! A great place for office worker gifts or for the wifey or GF to get you out of the doghouse. If you are patient check out some of their name brand items and order online. You will definitely find cheaper.

I had the same experience with the boutique owners. The same thing happened to me, we performed a job for them - ceramic installation - and of course we didn't not get paid for it . After reading Mikes review - I know it's a " skill "they use to take advantage of people and not pay them. You can read the owner's response when I message him to mention that I found Mike's review. I can tell you in advance that is a very inappropriate and disrespectful comment about Mike. As well - I will be attaching another picture where he threats me without any reason whatsoever. * A professional " successful" business owner talking this way ?? Shame on him !!!
