He showed real interest in us and why we were shopping and provided excellent observations. We picked up the most beautiful brocade fabric with gold tones with sparkling thread for my mom's outfit. With a bit of friendly conversation, he offered us a special price. If you're looking for quality fabrics and excellent service, come here! Definitely recommend!

I had the great pleasure of looking in this fabric warehouse when I was visiting a dear friend in…read moreMontreal and she graciously accompanied me there. This place is a massive building stacked floor to ceiling with fabric of every kind. There is no attempt to make things look pretty or put things on display, really, it is more of a storage locker type of feeling! I actually found it pretty overwhelming to attempt to look at everything, which I hate to say is how I typically shop, and I decided to just stick to cotton and canvas fabrics. They had licensed prints which would be great for quilting and I got some Batman Versus Superman movie cotton fabric. The service was very friendly and helpful; the people who work here have to be strong to deal with the huge amount of fabric coming in on a daily basis. The associate and I joked about the sheer volume of fabric and how it would take hours to see everything. This is a wholesale fabric place which is open to the public; you don't need any special identification to shop there. I didn't find the prices any lower than other fabric stores. It is in the middle of an industrial complex type of area, but it wasn't too difficult to get there on the metro and bus. Just don't expect to find other shopping or nice restaurants nearby. I recommend Tonitex Textiles to those who love fabric and textiles and have the time to search through a lot of it, or know exactly what they are looking for. They did not appear to sell notions or patterns (I'm not sure about interfacing though they probably do). They accept debit cards.

We've lost Joann's in The US and where I live there are very few decent fabric stores. We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and Fabricville came up as a fabric stop just an 8 min walk. It seems that they often have sales. And the service was prompt and polite.

For those of use who own sewing machines and sew on our own, it's getting harder and harder to find places to get all our sewing needs and sewing notions met conveniently. Fabricville and Bouclair were always the two main stops but Bouclair is now mostly a design store now and half of Fabricville is also the same. Thankfully the other half of Fabricville still sells fabrics and sewing notions. I have an old-school Singer machine( all with metal parts inside) and I needed to get new needles for my machine for denim work. I found everything I needed here. Prices were pretty decent, the service was friendly but it's a location that's out of the way for me. I just wish sewing shops weren't as few and far between as they are nowadays.

I visited with a foodie friend on an early Sunday afternoon for brunch and we were really satisfied. It got a bit busy but I managed to get a good table before the rush came in. The menu is simple but they have many good choices. I got the grilled cheese and it was delicious. I also got to try the soup of the day, it was bell pepper and carrot, it was also amazing. Came with little croutons and bread. We also got a piece of banana, coffee, and peanut butter cake. Pretty good for a vegan cake. It wasn't dry and the peanut butter icing was just sweet enough. I had a cold mochaccino with coconut milk and it was ok, I really don't like coffee that much though so maybe that's why I didn't love it. I thought it was bitter still even though there was only a bit of coffee in it. I needed a bit of caffeine to kick start my Sunday and that's why I got it. What I really like about this cafe is that they offer pottery classes in the building over. We could see the class while we ate, it looked fun! They also sell the creations of some of their Montreal artists in store. Service is also very nice and they are very friendly when answering questions about the menu.
