They have lace from France made by machines designed in the 1900 (or something like that). The owner's son, Mark, was most gracious and helpful. He showed real interest in us and why we were shopping and provided excellent observations. We picked up the most beautiful brocade fabric with gold tones with sparkling thread for my mom's outfit. With a bit of friendly conversation, he offered us a special price. If you're looking for quality fabrics and excellent service, come here! Definitely recommend!

It's never too crowded and even when there is a bit more people, it's people that want to buy fabric to re-upholstered furniture or to do a dress for their niece christening. Let's just say, not the same crowd as in a Insane Clown Posse concert. But I digress, the place is very great because of the variety of the fabric. They have a great variety of everything. They have sheer nude illusion fabric, the standard 100% cotton plain fabric, lace, funky faux fur, swimsuit fabric, insulation, silver suede, upholstery fabric and so on and so on. They also have a really great liquidation section where you can get really great deal. Because of the size of the place and the volume of sale. They have amazing rotation of stock. So when you have a request for Mario Bros. pyjamas pants, the only problem is, the vintage print, the new Mario cart or the all cast one?

This place is a massive building stacked floor to ceiling with fabric of every kind. There is no attempt to make things look pretty or put things on display, really, it is more of a storage locker type of feeling! I actually found it pretty overwhelming to attempt to look at everything, which I hate to say is how I typically shop, and I decided to just stick to cotton and canvas fabrics. They had licensed prints which would be great for quilting and I got some Batman Versus Superman movie cotton fabric. The service was very friendly and helpful; the people who work here have to be strong to deal with the huge amount of fabric coming in on a daily basis. The associate and I joked about the sheer volume of fabric and how it would take hours to see everything. This is a wholesale fabric place which is open to the public; you don't need any special identification to shop there. I didn't find the prices any lower than other fabric stores. It is in the middle of an industrial complex type of area, but it wasn't too difficult to get there on the metro and bus. Just don't expect to find other shopping or nice restaurants nearby. I recommend Tonitex Textiles to those who love fabric and textiles and have the time to search through a lot of it, or know exactly what they are looking for. They did not appear to sell notions or patterns (I'm not sure about interfacing though they probably do). They accept debit cards.
