I've been using LUVS Car Wash at both Simi Valley locations for several months and, overall, I've been a loyal customer. However, I've noticed that several pieces of equipment inside the wash tunnels do not appear to be functioning properly. At the First Street location, the wheel-cleaning brushes do not move in and out as vehicles pass through, so they don't seem to be cleaning the wheels and tires effectively. There is also a vertical washing brush that remains pushed off to the right side and appears to be completely inactive during the wash cycle. This is at the Madera location... Additionally, I've observed other equipment that appears to be running but is not actually making contact with the vehicle, which raises concerns about whether customers are receiving the full service they are paying for. Can you help me understand whether these systems are intentionally disabled, awaiting repair, or functioning as designed? If equipment is out of service, it may be worth scheduling maintenance or temporarily closing affected lanes to ensure customers receive the complete wash experience promised. I had my car washed last week. All soap no brushes to rub soap bubbles in. My car had dirt & spots. They didn't care I was told I could pay to have it washed again. When you complain. There's a response from Raphael with a number. I called the number and left a message. I'm not the only customer to have given a bad review. Raphael gives a fake b.s message to call him. I checked my account the 1st 2 months it was $9.99 Then when I quit looking it was some &49 or so!! So approx 6 months later I had paid more than $200 & hadn't even used cuz it had been raining!! As I've indicated before, I prefer this location to the one on Madera because it's rarely crowded, and the entrance lane allows for more cars to enter without being out in traffic on a busy street. We will often stop by toward the end of the day on the way home. The wash is quick and convenient. The drying cycle does a good job on its own, and if I take a little detour and drive the long way home the car is fully dry of the last drops. Even with the increase in the monthly unlimited washes, we find this to be a good deal. We typically run through the wash line 3 to 5 times a month. I love having a clean car, and LUV gets the job done for us. The staff is efficient in getting us in and out quickly. read more

I've been going here for over a decade, long before it got bought out and rebranded. In fact, I even remember when they built this place two decades ago. But I digress. This place really isn't what it used to be. Back in the day, they had washes for under $10, and two guys that would wipe for car for you on both sides at the end of the line. And even mirrors to make aligning with the conveyer easier. Well...first thing they did when they got bought out was removing the mirrors in favor of a new sign. There are attendants that guide you, but the mirrors did make it easier. Then they removed the guys who would wipe down the car for you. The vacuums are okay, but they could be stronger. And while I don't expect any business to have the same prices from 10+ years ago, especially in this climate, their prices tripling in a decade can't solely be blamed on inflation. And don't get me started on how every time I go, I have to mentally prepare for the routine of telling the attendants "no" three times that I am not interested in a membership. The last straw for me though is discovering this place is probably scratching my new car. My car is only four months old, and somehow, my rear right side door has gotten several cuts and scratches on it already. A month ago, I noticed another brand new one right after I got out of the wash. Earlier that morning after I got home from a drive, it was not on my door. So in suspecting that the car wash might've been why, I thoroughly inspected my car just minutes before I washed it again. Lo and behold...right when I got out, another new tiny scratch on the right side. They're not huge and no car on the road stays pristine forever, so it's not something I'll be pursuing reimbursement for. But ultimately, in summary with everything above, I've decided that it's probably time to say goodbye to this place. read more

I have been a member for their basic car wash for more than two years now. It started with $9/month and now it's $19.99, but I do believe it's worth it if you go at least once a week. It's very convenient to have quick in and out wash. There are some stations after the wash to dry the car and reusable towels to use after. read more

I'd like to first start off by saying this post has nothing to do with the employees. They were great. I will say however that the automated car wash is HORRIBLE!!! Avoid getting your car washed there. When I parked to vacuum I looked at my car and it was still completely dirty. What a ripoff! The car wash turned off every few seconds but yet the car inched forward each time they turned it back on so the car was hardly washed. On top of that, the wheel brushes weren't working so when we finally drove away after wiping the soap off the car, all the wet dirt from the wheels sprayed on the sides of our car. The car was still dirty and full of soap and water. We asked for a refund and we were told, "we don't give refunds. You can drive through again." Driving through again wouldn't have done anything except waste more of our time because the carwash was still broken. Another lady was upset and said she talked to the employee and she was told, "I told the owner we should close the car wash and the owner told him no." So the greedy owner wants people to pay him for a car wash when he's not able to provide the service and refuse to give refunds. Stay away from this business! read more

I had a membership here once, and I canceled it. They still charged me the next month and then I never got a refund even though I visited the store and called their customer service. I came today to get a car wash and Edgar was way too aggressive with trying to sell me the membership. I had to say no three different times and point out that I had a membership before and already canceled it. It wasn't even customer service and trying to upsell, it was more demanding that I get the service. It was uncomfortable, and I will not be coming back. read more

Ehhh wash wasn't that great , though they have more price tiers than a lot of other drive thru car washes. But for $17 I didn't think my car got as clean as other washes that are way superior (Dapper Dan's in Valencia and Bellagio in Van Nuys). They do have free vacuum and air compressor though. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH - Woodland Hills. I signed up for the $9.99 for 2 month special. On the 3rd month, I cancelled as I was not going to be in town to use the service. The district manager, Gus Lazaro, refused to cancel the $41.99 bait and switch pricing. I asked the Woodland Hills manager, Tommy, for the district manager phone number and he would not give it to me, telling me repeatedly that Gus would answer my email, which he never did. Honestly the best automated car wash I have used. The brushes are strong enough to clean really good but gentle to not scratch or swirl. I have been using their graphite wash and it has been amazing. My only complaint is that they don't scrub for bugs when you first go in. I drive through the fields so I get a decent amount here and there. Also, no air hose to blow out the water from the cracks; however, their spot-free rinse is one of the few places that actually leave minimal spots if there is any run off. I even feel comfortable not towel drying after because their fans are also really good. read more

I have been going to California Speedwash for over a year now and could not recommend it enough. The employees are all so helpful and hardworking. At one point the side mirror of my car was extremely fragile on the verge of falling off but I still came to get my car washed and one of the staff taped it for me so it would stay in place during the wash! So sweet and truly over the top service. I have never once been told to leave the vacuum station even though I totally stay past the five minute time limit. Whenever I am in the area I make sure to make a stop here! Nothing but good things to say about this place. 10/10 read more

When they first opened up, they were busy all the time, and even had employees hand-drying cars towards the end of the drying cycle. I started going so often that I ended buying a pass for unlimited car washes, for only $9.99. A lot has changed in the last twelve months though, and the price for my $9.99 unlimited wash is now $19.99 a month. There are no longer employees helping to dry the cars, and even the car washes don't seem to be same after the change in equipment. I've continued to go there for the convenience, especially with the pandemic, but who knows how long that will last. The employees are still on site to help if needed, and they maintain their distance for safety. Everyone is wearing a mask and complying with the current Ventura county rules. They still have the free vacuums that help, but I would recommend bringing a rag to dry of what their air dryers missed. read more
