I see here because I have not had this experience at all and we've been coming for a while now. Also, if you read the reviews on Google, there are hundreds of outstanding raving reviews, just like mine Dr. Villa was absolutely amazing with my son and what we needed. My son was diagnosed legally blind at a very young age and with very specific Vision challenges. That said we've struggled finding Doctor Who fully understood the conditions and getting correct prescriptions, etc. We ended up with a challenging Vision education specialist at my son's school who required deep, explanations and documentation to fully understand what was needed for his IEP and for his ongoing education challenges. Dr. Villa went above and beyond for all of this. I cannot express just how extraordinary she is. In fact, I learned more from her about my son's challenges in just a few visits compared to years with other doctors and even vision therapists. On top of this, because we were under a deadline, she even took us before official office hours. I can honestly say that her help was not just above and beyond, but it was absolutely something that impacted my son's schooling forever. No more constant battles trying to explain to his teachers and vision specialist about his condition and no more struggle to get the correct prescriptions. She got everything sorted for us. She's an absolute angel and I'm so grateful we found her.

I called to schedule a pickup, but the receptionist placed me on hold for 15 minutes, only to tell me that there were no available appointments and that I would need to wait another two days just to pick up my glasses. To make matters worse, the receptionist was very rude and ended the call abruptly without any courtesy. After being a long-time customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses both the service quality and customer care moving forward.

Some appear annoyed that they have to get up to assist you and others go above and beyond to help you. Their prices are very pricey compared to other retail places but they offer "discounts" if you get more than one pair. I only purchased here instead of other places like Costco because they do have a large selection and it was convenient and I have really great vision insurance. I recently lost a pair and called them to ask if they could offer any type of discount if I purchased the exact same glasses without insurance and they only offered a slight discount off the prescription and not the lenses. According to the operative report, there was an unexpected vitrectomy and lens dislocation, leaving her aphakic (without an implanted lens) and requiring multiple additional surgeries and prolonged follow-up care. We understand that complications can happen in any surgery. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled afterward. The recovery records document that my mother reported severe pain during surgery, rated her pain 10/10, described the procedure as extremely painful, and wanted to file a complaint. The nursing notes also state that the surgeon and anesthesiologist explained the procedure had to be stopped before the lens could be implanted. Yet the operative report contains no meaningful discussion of the severe pain or why the surgery could not be completed. We were left piecing together hundreds of pages of medical records instead of receiving clear answers. Since that day, my mother has undergone multiple procedures, repeated specialist visits, and prolonged treatment. A woman who could once thread a needle and drive independently can no longer pass a DMV vision test because of her vision loss. Patients deserve honesty, compassion, accountability, and transparency when complications occur. Unfortunately, that was not our family's experience.
