Nothing screams "Bad Faith Business" than that... there has been a change in this place. It's not the same,... When I've gotten them back with my corrective lens, they don't end up fitting my face well. I ask them to adjust them and they do, but they still don't fit well and either fall off my face or hurt my ears. Their customer service is decent. There are a lot of employees there so you don't have to wait too long to be seen but not all have great customer service skills. Some appear annoyed that they have to get up to assist you and others go above and beyond to help you. Their prices are very pricey compared to other retail places but they offer "discounts" if you get more than one pair. I only purchased here instead of other places like Costco because they do have a large selection and it was convenient and I have really great vision insurance. I recently lost a pair and called them to ask if they could offer any type of discount if I purchased the exact same glasses without insurance and they only offered a slight discount off the prescription and not the lenses. I see here because I have not had this experience at all and we've been coming for a while now. Also, if you read the reviews on Google, there are hundreds of outstanding raving reviews, just like mine Dr. Villa was absolutely amazing with my son and what we needed. My son was diagnosed legally blind at a very young age and with very specific Vision challenges. That said we've struggled finding Doctor Who fully understood the conditions and getting correct prescriptions, etc. We ended up with a challenging Vision education specialist at my son's school who required deep, explanations and documentation to fully understand what was needed for his IEP and for his ongoing education challenges. Dr. Villa went above and beyond for all of this. I cannot express just how extraordinary she is. In fact, I learned more from her about my son's challenges in just a few visits compared to years with other doctors and even vision therapists. On top of this, because we were under a deadline, she even took us before official office hours. I can honestly say that her help was not just above and beyond, but it was absolutely something that impacted my son's schooling forever. No more constant battles trying to explain to his teachers and vision specialist about his condition and no more struggle to get the correct prescriptions. She got everything sorted for us. I got told I needed a referral when my insurance has never required a prior authorization. I called my insurance and confirmed and they agreed with me that I don't need a referral/prior authorization. I called them back and they scheduled my appointment 2 weeks out. The day of the appointment I got called 20 mins before during their lunch time and they left a VM canceling my appointment because of not having a referral. I immediately called back within 2 mins of them leaving me the voicemail and no response because they were on lunch. I left a VM requesting to speak to their manager and never received a call back. Very unprofessional the way the handled the situation. Never again!
