Loved their porterhouse steak. I ordered it medium and charred and it was both. It was seasoned extremely well and I loved the cracker peppercorns the grilled it with. It added an unexpected spiciness to it and gave it a stand out taste. The salads the breaded the service everything else was delicious. This is a great spot for friends and families. Very tasty, some misses with being fatty and one still raw. It was the service that was terrible. Tall guy with glasses, beard and name started with a C. We felt totally ignored most of the night. They suddenly stopped coming to our table with meat, guess end of cycle? My son wanted more and asked, 20 minutes later nothing. We asked for the dessert menu, came 10 minutes later, still no meat. The guys kept passing our table and skipping us. Not sure if it was because we didn't speak their language, I would like to think no. My wife and I wanted Cappuccino and a dessert, son wanted a dessert and my other son was still waiting for the meat guys, after 30 minutes of asking. we went on a Sunday night and the place was pretty crowded. We had a reservation for eight people. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was very good. I got the fish which I liked a lot. The rodizio looked really good, but i just can't eat all that food! Half the people in our party got the rodizio and the other half ordered entrées. Everybody was very happy with everything they ate. Has always been a favorite place of mine. Food is fresh and wonderful quality. My family and I have been going for 15+years. Celebrated many events there and just have had some wonderful meals. They raised their prices about a year ago and then recently raised them again. The second increase was unfortunately a a large difference. When we arrived we noticed many empty tables. After seeing the new prices, I have a feeling this was a huge contributor. We may still go for dinners there, but probably not as often. If management reads this.... Maybe they will see that it does affect their patron and business. Not a great decision unfortunately. read more

Usually I have a great experience at this restaurant but the last two times it has been nothing but poor service. First the hostess wasn't readily available to greet us and once she did no warm greeting just how many? She had a really poor attitude as well when we asked what they had on the kids menu. Then our server was great we ordered 3 rodizios and honestly they were either moving slow or just avoiding our table. Finally what set off this review on the menu it says 6 or more will be charged gratuity automatically. We were only 5 and honestly it was really 4 with a baby. So we debated whether to say something or not they had also added 3 desserts we didn't order so we decided to speak up. We still left 20% gratuity even though they had charged the 18% but we had them remove it. Just check your receipts ppl because yes they tried it and I think it's classless to just assume oh we might as well add it on because they aren't going to leave anything. read more

But the drinks are super overpriced and undersized. $14 for a G&T ordered with light ice but filled with ice in a small glass. Converting to a vodka on the rocks, light ice and the same. The glass was slightly larger than a large shot glass. If you want a good pour at a reasonable price with good food, Luso's is not the place. read more

Went for the All You Can Eat option, and it comes with a whole table of things such as salad, olives, rice&beans, fries, etc. The meats are a little bit dry, and some too salty, but overall they are okay. My fav is the Sirloin. The atmosphere is nice, like a family restaurant, with whom I assume is the manager asking how we are doing table to table. However, I wish the service was generally better. I was sat next to a wall that blocked me from the majority of the dining space, which i guess is why the people who bring the meats kinda forgot about me for 20 min, and once they remembered me existing, all the people came at once. The rodizio was delicious. I'm giving 4 out of 5 because the bacon wrapped Turkey was a bit too salty and the sides were unimpressive. The French fries just sat and got cold as were greasy and the salad could've used a bit more love. Th plantains we're great but that was it as far as enjoying sides besides rice. The pork cube and short ribs were my favorite. My family loved the skirt steak, beef cube and sausage. I would definitely return as it's well worth the 43 bucks per person. read more

We were seated very quickly and served water and bread right away. So everyone decided on having the meat fest, including myself. So all of the meats that were served all have a spiciness to them, but not overpowering. The sides, salad, rice and black beans very good. They also had sweet plantains, nice contrast with the meat, that was very juicy and very nicely cooked. Customer service was on point. I would definitely come back. Came here for dinner with a small group. Ordered the shrimp kabobs, beef and pork kabobs, and whole chicken for protein. They served us with rice, fries, salad, and bread for sides. We also got spicy sauce to smother our meat in. I was impressed with the meat and thought it was all well cooked and topping it with the spicy sauce made me want even more meat. Because we were only party of 2, decided to come anyway and wait. We waited 40 minutes. Seating is safely socially distanced. We went with the Rodizio which consists of all different types of meats they bring to your table on hot skewer. Along with that you get sides for your table of sweet plantains, rice and beans , salad and French fries. Wish you had choice of sides because after 5 minutes the fries are a waste. You don't want cold fries with your meal. The meats were delicious, but it took too long between servings. It was clear they didn't have enough servers. And our waiter, although very nice, would disappear for long periods of time. Very difficult to get another drink. And when we asked for our check, he disappeared again. 20 minutes went by I had to seek out a manager, and then wait additional 10 minutes. The service was awful. The food was quite good. As he leaves, a family style salad shows up with a separate tray of olives. We order a bottle of sparkling water, which is delivered immediately. I'm liking this place a lot. Our waiter explains the menu. They have an "all you can eat" option where they just keep bringing you meat. Nice option but not my style. I settled for the beef and pork Shiskabob. Comes with family style sides. So I'm expecting a wood or metal rod with skewered pieces of meat and peppers and onion. No way. They bring a large plate with fist size chunks of meat with peppers and onions. I can only eat two pieces of the meat and pack up the rest to take home. Coffee.. I had there Portuguese Coffee. After I explain my steak finally comes out. Oh yes, I ordered the temp "medium". Steak is very large which is typical here, but cooked rare, in fact raw to rare. So they take it back. 10 minutes later my steak returns but half the steak is gone. That's right, and still rare. Please bring the bill so I can go home and have dinner. I will say that they removed the cost of my meal from the bill. Foolishly I thought they might comp desert but not to be. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, the Rodizio is the best I have ever had. While many Portuguese Rodizio restaurants are good they are usually over salted across the board. While we all understand salt is an important component in the preparation of meat, the amounts used are overwhelming. Not Luso's the right amount of salt is paired with great seasoning for outstanding favor. The ribs were the only item slightly over salted, but certainly forgivable. The grilled calamari is recommended and I had seconds, deserts were good, I tried the creme brûlée, rice pudding and the tartofo. A pleasant but not outstanding finish to a great meal. Comparing this restaurant to the others such as Texas de Brazil, Brasa in Nassau county and a few forgettable others. read more

We come here often for the rodizio. The meat is super flavorful and always very delicious. We love getting the rodizio to go, which is great for 2 people and usually enough for leftovers. I love the layout and awesome customer service provided from the waiter to bus boy to the owner herself. I love when people pay attention to detail and are always checking up on the table regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Our waters were always full and our food was delivered in a timely fashion. We order a porter house steak, whole chicken, grilled shrimp and made our own family style dinner for everybody to enjoy. As an appetizer we got sausage, salad and some bread. For dessert we ordered a flan, crème brûlée, Chocolate mousse and Tiramisu. Food is great there but the staff is not up to par! I use to go when they were smaller and up the rd from where they are now. So I have kids and we have to go out early to leave early. My mother in -law calls and ask for reservations since it's 4 adults and 2 children. The girl on the phone say's there is no reservations just come and you will be seated shortly. We get there and the hostess tells us there is a 25-half hour wait. But we said we called and that we could be seated. There were many tables available. There were RESERVED cards on all tables. We asked that they said those have reservations.... ???? Hmmm thought there were no reservations? 2 other parties behind us complained and they had reservations. (Table of 4) one other couple... same deal. We were there for 10 mins. I guess the owners friends had a big table... 3-4 more tables available but people were trying to be sat. I am very upset especially when my family goes there a lot. Disrespectful. We got up and left and went to another restaurant. I am glad because I had a better time. I hate giving poor reviews but this had to go up. Try better. Your staff is rude! Owner asked if I was being helped & I even said no, he moved passed me to the party of 4 who were annoyed and he went back behind a waiter and then hugged his friends as they came in. read more
