I'm not one to write a lot of reviews but I always read them. I wish I had more information about this place before walking in. I've been getting my lashes done for the last 4 years. I went to this salon hoping it would be a wonderful experience because it's close to home and would be convenient. When I made my appointment I clearly stated I had a 30% off coupon and the owner said ok, just bring it with you to your appointment. I arrived on time and the technician wasn't there yet. Another lady said she would get me started. I was never asked what size or type lashes I wanted. I had to tell the woman that I wear 14 C curl and she responded with, I usually do 10, 11, and 12. I had to tell her that if I went shorter than what I'm use to, I'd be disappointed. She had me lay down under the bright light lamp as she taped up my bottom lashes. Right away I was tearing from being blinded. Next, they taped the lashes to-be-added to my forehead. I did not enjoy them pulling tape up from my skin for 90+ mins. I had a few lashes remaining from my last appointment at my usual salon and the technician removed them by tugging on them until she plucked what I can only imagine was the root, judging from the pain! When I gasped each time she did this (yes, she did it more than 4x) she would say, "just one minute." This is not the proper technique for removing lash extensions!! She never once said, I'm sorry. The glue they used had a strong smell that made both my nose and throat burn. I asked them to use a sensitive adhesive and I was told that I'm only smelling the glue because it was too close to my head. I've never smelled glue fumes or had a reaction like that before. There was no air conditioning which made the combo of fumes and lights beating down almost unbearable, however when I said something, they were quick to hold a fan on me to cool me off. Because of all this, instead of relaxing, I became fidgety rather quickly. There were three women that took turns working on my lashes so when I was finished I had no idea who I was suppose to tip (yes, I still gave a very generous tip because they worked long and hard, yet I believe they have a lot to learn about lashes and customer service). When I went to pay the owner, with whom I spoke to to make my appointment, she wouldn't honor the 30% off coupon even though she said ok over the phone and another worker agreed before I had the service done. The owner said the coupon was old, yet there was no expiration date on it. In the end, I'm not happy with my lash experience. They failed to add lashes to the inside and outside corners of my eyes so they look clumped together and fake, and the quality of the lash is plastic-like and appears spidery. My eyes have been red, itchy and irritated since my appointment. This was by far my worst lash experience yet. My objective is not to hurt the business but hopefully help the salon make some healthy adjustments and clue future clients in on what to expect. read more
