Richard came across as earnest and knowledgeable. He very clearly detailed what he would do and the materials he would use. Unfortunately, he was incredibly unreliable perhaps due to health issues. He started a day late due to another job. Then he He missed a day and explained that it was because he was hospitalized. He always arrived late. We weren't up against a deadline and figure it was his own time he was wasting. After one of the three contracted project were completed, he disappeared but left materials and equipment on site. We made what he called progress payments and are currently out about $2k due to money paid and work not completed. As the other writer noted, the phone is disconnected. Needed painting done on an old outdoor metal fence in front of my house and my bathroom repainted because wife chose joker purple initially for some ungodly reason. Richard met up on time and ran me through the process of the quote, which was very reasonable compared to other quotes I was getting. He promised four days for the job completion but him and his partner Luis managed to get it done in two. The matte finish on the fence was superb and the reflective white on the bathroom was well done. He stated they only use Sherwin Williams paint, and ran by me on the process of how many times they use primer and the paint coat. Although they didn't offer a warranty on the fence paint, Richard offered to refinish any spots within a year if it strips off. I needed interior painting done for my home, two rooms and the hallway ceiling. Richard and Luis were able to meet our budget and did a great job! They were professional, courteous and did fast and quality work. They even sanded the walls where there was blemishes to make the painting smooth in those areas. No consideration for potential customers time. Left me hanging twice in one day! First time 11:30 I waited around for him for 30 when he finally texted me to let me know he couldn't make it and asked to reschedule for later that day. I reluctantly agreed and this time he picked the time. Next meeting time was at 2. He was a no show. Had the audacity to text me 2 hours later and ask to reschedule again. Pricing was on par with other small outfits, about half the price of much larger places we called. They were a little late showing up on their first day but once here, they were professional and courteous. They taped up and prepped everything well. We had them refinish our cabinets and paint our kitchen ceiling and walls. The finished product was great, very smooth with little to no blemishes. Friends and other contractors have commented on the excellent finish work. I plan to use them again for other paint work. The two pieces of constructive feedback I gave to them was, over communicate, and use paper to protect the floors. Little things, but will help them differentiate themselves. I had a little wash room in my small one bedroom I wanted to make it into a study but found it hard to do so because a weird big table was installed in the wall, i had no idea it was literally installed in the wall so I took it to myself to call Richard, because I knew taking that table out was going to be nearly impossible to do myself and I'm glad to say he did a great job! It's with regret and disappointment that I have to give a negative review to LuRic Painting, especially after having done a great job on a previous project at the same address. Having had a positive experience with LuRic Painting, it was a no brainer to choose them to re-stucco and paint the exterior of our house. A contract was signed with a deposit of $500 delivered. Project was to begin on a Monday. Got a call from owner, Ricardo, asking if they could now start on Tuesday, the next day. By mid-day on Tuesday no one had shown up. I had to call to inquire and was told that their previous job was taking longer then they thought and could they now start towards end of the week. We agreed a start day of Thursday of that week. Thursday came, nothing. The weekend past, still nothing. My attempts at trying to contact LuRic Painting via text and phone calls feel on deaf ears. My hope, at this point, is I am contacted by someone at LuRic Painting to explain and make arrangements for a return on my $500 deposit and to show others of what an unprofessional business practice looks like.
