I was hoping they had mole but they didn't, which might have been too carby anyway. I was pleased to see that the menudo didn't have corn in it making it something I can have. The menudo was excellent, they don't skimp on the tripe and it tasted great, especially with the chili oil at end of the buffet. The Birria was also very good and I had to try the nopales con huevos which was okay. I wish I could have the tortillas that are made in site, my wife loved them enough to wrap a few up to take home. However had I not been writing a Yelp review I would have just had more menudo instead. It's just that good. I suppose one thing to know is about the long communal tables. In case that's a problem for anyone.

I ended up trying a little bit of the bacon burrito,since it was my friends,it was pretty good and one can never go wrong with a bacon breakfast burrito-but honestly my chorizo burrito was amazing. It was perfectly seasoned-not overly greasy-and then paired with the two salsa-each bite was better than the next.The potatoes went so well with the eggs and chorizo and cheese-I enjoyed it very much. I called to ask why that was. The girl on the phone said it was because different meats cost different prices. She said that chicken and pork cost less than beef. I asked her what a pork "Macho Padre" Burrito costs since it was one of those that did not have a price listed. She said it was $14.99. I was very clear that this was the "big one that feeds two, right?" She agreed and said that it definitely was. Knowing this was a fairly large burrito, I double checked with her, and she was certain. Once I showed up, a guy proceeded to ring me up. He asked me if I was paying with cash or card. I asked him if there was a price difference, and he said yes. It was less expensive if I paid with cash. I chose to pay with cash and it still came up to $26. I can only imagine what it would have cost if I wanted to pay with a credit card, close to $30? I told him that the girl on the phone said it was $14.99 plus tax. His response was that was the price without meat. I explained to him that we never talked about a vegetarian burrito at all. He tried to avoid the point by reminding me that this burrito had pork in it. I responded by telling him once again that the price quote for $14.99 was with pork. He even said that he heard the conversation to be otherwise, to which I reminded him that I was actually on the other end of the conversation and that I had a better understanding of what we talked about. He argued saying that he wasn't lowering the price at all, and that it was going to be $26. I told him I wasn't going to pay that and he seemed to be OK with that as I walked out without the dinner I drove down there to pick up. Not only are they liars, but any place too embarrassed to post their actual prices for their more expensive burritos on their online menu is disreputable at best. I've never heard of a business practice like this, and hopefully I'll never see it again. Once I got home, I decided to call back, hoping to speak to the girl that gave me the false information on the phone. She did answer, but then immediately put me on hold. After holding for some time, it was obvious I was being blown off, so I hung up. I called right back and this time they let it go to voicemail. Clearly, she remembered my number and knew who I was, but was too cowardly to face what she did. There's too many respectful restaurants in the area that wouldn't do something so sleazy and unprofessional as this. Go someplace else.
