I'm used to going to hotel spas for pricey "treat yourself" experiences, but Rooted in Reflexology changed that for me! Mary really knows what she's doing and you can get an amazing and relaxing experience at a good price. So far I've only taken advantage of the 90 minute full body massages ($90), but she also specializes in reflexology, which I plan on trying soon. Prior to the appointment, she learns about you and your preferences. From there, you can pick your scents, type of lotion, and really relax. The office is located in Coral Gables within an office building off of Giralda, the part that is closed off to pedestrian traffic. You walk up to the second floor and her room is within Gables Optimal Health. I usually take advantage of metered street parking nearby. I cannot wait to get back here once it's safe to do so! My husband and I are both fans and try to visit regularly.

I say these people because my husbands was in the room with me and said the same thing. What was even more disturbing is that the man was massaging my back for 80% of the massage. I also want to mention that he was very very creepy and touching my butt way too much. I felt a very bad energy in that place. By the way, they also cooked broccoli in the last 5 min of the massage, so that was the cherry on top. Do not go here if you are a woman!!!!

Since I had never booked a massage before, I wasn't really sure how everything worked. When it came time to choose a massage therapist, I decided to go with Leydis Tellez, and I'm so glad I did! She was incredibly kind and made my mom feel comfortable right away, especially since it was also her first time getting a massage. She took the time to ask my mom questions about where she had been experiencing pain and really listened so she could understand exactly what she needed. Leydis took amazing care of her and made sure to focus on all the areas where my mom had been feeling pain and discomfort. My mom came out of her massage feeling completely refreshed, relaxed, and so happy with the experience. I couldn't be happier that I chose Leydis for my mom's first massage. She was kind, attentive, professional, and truly made the experience special for her. We will definitely be coming back, and we'll especially be asking for Leydis Tellez again!

Mindy gave me at my foot massage for an hour and proceeded my back with my feet soaked which is the usual ritual. She then sat me back on the very comfortable chair and I dozed off as she massaged and gave me reflexology on my feet, which was absolutely wonderful. She had a strong grip and that's my preference. She kept asking me " is this okay this is okay" and of course it was okay so that was a little distracting at times. But she was very sweet about it I was just in deep slumber. While there are a few very good massage therapists here, it has become clear that they do not honor their call -ahead appointments. Over the last few years, I have been double booked at the same time as somebody else numerous times. When I am the first of the two booked clients to get there, I get the massage, but my massage therapist has had to leave the room a few minutes into the session to address an angry customer in the waiting room who arrived only to find they have been double booked and have no session. Today, I arrived to find out my therapist was in a session and would not be available for another hour. So I reluctantly agreed to give someone I don't know a try, and that was a big mistake. She took forever to even come to the room, and then when she did and I laid down, nothing happened for at least a minute and so I looked up and saw her standing there scrolling her phone!!! She continued for nearly a minute and I started to sit up and she exclaimed, "What are you doing? Relax, I will do my best." I laid back down. Then...nothing again. I looked up again and she was scrolling her phone again! At some point she started and the massage was weak. I asked her to add more strength and she sighed with exasperation and did not make any change. I then got up and said I would reschedule. She stormed out. As I was getting dressed, the other woman from the front desk who had convinced me to give that first therapist a try came in and offered to do my massage herself. I agreed and laid back down. Thankfully, she actually had good strength and was respectful and professional. The chaos that occurred today was ridiculous. This is not the first time I have arrived at Asiami to find out that my therapist was double booked. Even worse, the first therapist I was set up with today was extremely rude and not even competent at the job when she finally did start. I am dumbfounded as to why Asiami would hire someone that is so unprofessionaI. If I have another experience like today's at Asiami, I may permanently take my business elsewhere. Please stop double booking your call ahead appointments!!!
