Let me start by saying that everyone was kind and friendly, but unfortunately the quality of our nails didn't match the price. I specifically scheduled and requested a complete Gel-X removal with a fresh builder gel application on my natural nails. I also noted this in the online appointment request. Instead, a builder fill was done over my existing product. My daughter had builder gel with tips applied. Her nails turned out better than mine overall, although one nail was noticeably longer than the others. We both requested cat-eye nails, but we were never asked which cat-eye style we wanted. The salon had a sample with a heart cat-eye effect that I asked about, but was told they couldn't do it. We ended up with different-looking cat-eye effects and not the look we were expecting. My builder gel has multiple quality issues, including incomplete polish coverage near the cuticle and sidewalls, visible bumps or debris under the finish, uneven thickness, and shaping that flares wider toward the tips on some nails. The finish also immediately looks like several days of grow-out because the polish wasn't applied close to the cuticle. We paid $200 for both my daughter and I, which included a 20% tip. For that price, I expected much better attention to detail. The technicians were pleasant throughout the appointment, but unfortunately the workmanship means we won't be returning.

Maybe my nails are just sensitive today." Despite that experience, the customer service that day was kind, so I left thinking maybe it was just an off day. When my friend suggested we come back this past Saturday, I was hesitant but decided to give the salon another chance. I spent $150 on my nails because my daughter's birthday party is next Saturday, and I wanted to get them done early so I wouldn't have to worry about them during the busy week. We left for Seattle after my appointment and returned Monday. By Sunday--less than 24 hours later--my nails had already started chipping. I went back to the salon to have them look at the issue. Instead of acknowledging that something might have gone wrong, the first thing I was told was that "this gel doesn't last long." I asked, "Less than 24 hours?" I was then asked if I had been cooking a lot for my daughter's party. I explained that the party wasn't for another six days, so that wasn't the cause. During the conversation, the customer service representative rolled her eyes at me, which made the experience even more disappointing. My issue isn't the money. It's the lack of customer service and accountability. Sometimes products fail or mistakes happen--that's understandable. What matters is how a business responds. I ended up going to my regular nail salon, and the difference was night and day. As soon as I walked in, they asked, "Oh no, did we do this?" When I explained what had happened, they fixed my nails with care, kindness, and without making me feel like I had done something wrong. I believe good customer service is about listening to your customers and standing behind your work. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here, and because of that, my friend my daughter and I, won't be returning. My friends nail was also damaged and her finger nicked at this appointment but I will let her write her own review. UPDATE: THanks for the response again this confirms that they are blaming the client and lying. No apology about how I was treated. Your response speaks volumes. If you did stand to your 7 day policy I would have been treated differently from the start and this review would never have happened. Not the clients fault that you use cheap material.

We ended up just getting regular gel nail polish. The front desk girls have great customer service. But some of the other workers there are very intimidating and just stare at you.
