Their banh mi always have a large helping of meat coupled with the freshest cucumbers, carrots, jalapeños and other garnishes. Xavia was one of their main employees back then, and has remained a steadfast employee for them. It is always reassuring to see her familiar face and catch up with her. Now, 6 years later I am still coming here to get crispy pork belly banh mi and have started getting the hazelnut milk tea with boba. I haven't drank bubble tea in a long time and wasn't sure what to order. Ngi recommended the hazelnut milk tea with boba and I was not disappointed! I recently became a painting contractor. I don't have an office yet. So Goatea owners Tan & Tran have been incredibly nice and have been letting me use their space to hold interviews and new hire one-on-ones. As a new business owner, I really appreciate them helping me out! I definitely recommend Goatea for their delicious food, tasty bubble teas, and welcoming staff! How was this review over 6 years ago?! Def needs an updated review:…read more Stopped in here yesterday during my quick lunch break. Ordered the tofu sandwich and matcha with the soft foam. My order total ended up to be around $14. First off, the tofu sandwich!! I'm not sure how they used to make it 6 years ago, but now I'd say it is one of the best I've tried. The sandwich came out warm, they sauté the tofu in a sauce, which I'm guessing is oyster sauce and it gives it a lot more flavor. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. For the matcha, I was not expecting it to be anything special since it's a boba shop. After taking the first sip, I was shocked on how rich the matcha was and it was delicious!

The Snowy Village in Federal Way is in the parking lot of The Commons Mall. There is plenty of parking in the area. My sister, her fiancé, and I decided to stop by for a sweet treat after hiking together! We ordered one Taro Bingsoo (red bean with taro powder, topped with ube vanilla ice cream, rice cakes, and almond nuts) and one Black Sesame Bingsoo (red bean, rice cakes, black sesame, topped with vanilla ice cream and almond nuts). Both were a lot larger than we expected, but absolutely delicious and delicate. We both agreed that the Taro Bingoo was better than the Black Sesame Bingsoo. The Black Sesame was a little too overpowered by the sesame in our opinion. It did take a bit of time to get our bingsoo to us, but it was quite busy and it does take time to make each of the bingsoos. I really liked the ambiance of Snowy Village. They have two doors and the store is pretty spacious. There's space for people to sit inside and outside, but also space for people to wait if they don't plan on dining inside.

I asked if any of the milk teas had any milk substitutes or lactose free. She said they did not have any substitutes. So I elected to try their fresh teas instead. I asked for a recommendation. She mentioned a few options and I decided to try their passion fruit tea with passion fruit topping. When I got the drink. I took a sip of it and the sweetness from the sugar was so overpowering i wanted to spit it out. I wish they had the option for 50% sweetness. I also shook the cup prior to mix it and it was still, that sweet... Also, it had a strange medicine like after taste. Im not sure if its from the passion fruit tea, or the topping, but it was not appealing and ive had many passion fruit teas at other places that did not taste like this. I can only speak for the fresh, passion fruit tea, but it was pretty awful, overlt sweet with a strange aftertaste. They do not have any milk substitutes, so if you want a milk tea drink, and youre lactose intolerant, you're out of luck.

The reason why I like the strawberry shaved ice is because it's the perfect amount of shaved ice with strawberries and condensed milk. They also have good music playing in the background and their bathroom is always really clean which I appreciate!

I'd round my rating to about 3.5 stars for their donuts here. In general, I love that they have a…read moremuch larger variety of flavors, and their toppings and icings are unique for the most part. For this review, I had their mango sticky rice donut and one that looked like it had pistachios, along with two strawberry-like donuts and a churro-flavored donut. They have relatively strong profiles in every one of their donut flavors, though I notice they are best eaten the day of; they do not sit well overnight, so if you're not a big eater I wouldn't grab more than 3 donuts. The inside of each donut ball is more like a regular soft donut inside than a squishier, mochi-like texture like Dochi's. From previous visits to this location - including when they opened to long lines back in 2021 - servers are usually pretty fast and accurate when it comes to getting people's orders in and grabbing donuts. The same probably couldn't be said for making their hotdogs though I'm not sure if that's changed now. They always have new flavors every Monday, and one server back then has suggested calling in to confirm their flavors of the week. I still have yet to get the banana milk flavor donut for my mom, and I'm not sure if this location has it, but I'll definitely come back and/or have their donuts every now and then. For now I prefer Dochi and their longer-lasting donuts.
