I came across Dr. Lundquist out of coincidence or convenience. I wanted a new primary care physician and I just chose him purely because his office was located close by. He's a friendly doctor and never once has he ever made it feel like the visit was rushed. I've only seen him twice because I needed a doctor is sign off on a medical waiver to run in an international half marathon. read more

Wow. Dr. Janine Chamberlin is a completely inept doctor. I recommend if you're looking for a GP, don't go here. I came here for a visit earlier in the year because of food allergy symptoms - I had gone on a GF diet to see if the symptoms had cleared up which they did, and wanted to talk to her about getting tested for Celiacs, as my mother has it. Now I told her doing bloodwork at that time would not be conclusive as you have to be eating gluten to get properly tested - she insisted this was not the case and I probably just had IBS. She then preceded to refer me to a food allergist and give me a SPASMODIC prescription for when I ate something that made me sick, just take that. First off, the woman does not know anything about Celiacs, clearly, and should not be telling people inaccurate information and doing faulty bloodwork tests. Second, don't give people prescriptions for unnecessary things - if something makes you sick when you eat, don't eat it, don't take unnecessary pills with god knows what in it. Third, a food allergist does not do Celiacs testing. 300 dollars in copays later (I am still getting billed 7 months later for this horrendous visit), I urge you to not go to this joke of a doctor. read more

Super nice staff, and Dr. Lundquist is a really good diagnostician. The got rid of the awful "Jenny" person who was the P.A. so now I feel more comfortable with the new one. read more

Some of the staff here are very nice and some are just ok. I have not experienced anything bad yet. Dr. Lundquist is a nice doctor and so is Dr. Chamberlin. I have been going to Dr. Lundquist for 10+ years. He slowly starting reducing is hours (as he should at retirement age) so I started seeing his PAs. No issues with them. He sold his practice with NO notice which irritating but no big deal, insurance still worked and still saw the PAs. Issues started months ago when I bad cough caused me to go to urgent care and the. Resulted in getting a X-ray. X-ray needed to be read by Caduceus which took over two weeks to give me results. I followed up constantly but pretty much daily and was told they didn't get the information then said only one person could read the X-ray and they are part time. Pretty munch a lot of excuses. Now I'm in for a 6 month check up set up by Caduceus on Imperial Hwy NOT Yorba Linda. Went to Imperial Hwy location and a hand written note on the door said go to Yorba Linda as they are renovating. Once again NO message to patients. Show up for my 6 month and NOTHING in the system, this place doesn't know why I'm here I can only give so much off of memory 6 months ago! Absolutely the worst. After this horrible experience is done I will be moving to a new facility. So sad because Dr. Lundquist and PAs are great but if your hired staff working the front can't handle the job or do it correctly it reflects on the team that does the exams. read more

Front office staff is very rude, insensitive, not caring, and give you attitude every time you call. I have changed physicians to another office because the front office staff always makes it difficult to make appointments, get referrals, and get paperwork needed. The doctor needs better staff to represent his practice. read more

After 15 years I am forced to find another doctor. I refuse to pay insurance premiums to see a nurse practitioner and wait 5 weeks if I insist on seeing my doctor! We're talking family doctor here...not specialist! This has gone from a caring business to a rat's nest of mistakes and mishandling! I like Dr. Lundquist but I've taken just about all I can. Hopefully, my new doctor will have time for me. Edited to answer Tina: Last week when I asked for an appointment to see Dr. Lundquist and not his nurse practitioner I was quoted 5 WEEKS...! This doctor is a family practitioner...not a specialist. Also, to get a prescription refilled and NOT sent to the wrong pharmacy takes nerves of steel and act of Congress these days! So don't come and try to soften this review...it was made to be glaringly TRUE! Others...be aware! read more

Dr. Lundquist is great if you can get someone to take your appointment. Called a few times and I was put on hold for more than 8 mins each time. I know they aren't that busy that they can take a simple appointment. They might need a new front office manager or something seems like poor management. Well I guess I'm looking for a new PCP. read more

The perfect example of what you get for an HMO these days. Dr Lunquist is a nice man and the two times I went seemed a decent doctor. His front office and assistants on the other hand are more or less useless. A simple task of answering the phone seems to confuse them and after reading other reviews it seems I'm not the only one. If you call don't be surprised to be put on hold for great lengths and like me possibly forgotten or hung up on which happened twice in one day. If you need your insurance's approval on any extra procedures or crutches etc, expect to do your own leg work. It's amazing that the insurance company was easier to deal with direct than them. BEWARE! Save yourself a headache and research a proper family doctor. read more

I've been going to Dr Lundquist for 5 years - he's 20 miles from my home but just a couple of miles from my office. It's convenient to me to have a Dr close by since I'm at work more than my home! As a middle aged woman I'm pretty healthy - only go to the Dr twice a year for check-ups and a couple of prescription refills. A couple of weeks ago I had an asthma attack and realized I was out of my inhaler medication - I called the office and asked the front desk to have the Dr call a prescription into my pharmacy. The woman who answered the phone said they wouldn't refill my prescription unless I came to the office first! I told her I couldn't breathe and she pretty much told me she didn't care - said I could come in at 1pm (I called at 10am) or else there was nothing else they could do for me. I had been in to the Dr 2 months before - didn't have any outstanding bills, had never been a problem patient! I made the appt, struggled to breathe for a couple of hours, went in and spoke to the PA - whom I really like - got my prescription and then asked the woman at the front desk to transfer my files to a new Dr I found who promised me they would never, ever insist I make an appt in order to get my inhaler prescription if I was having an asthma attack! PS - The PA apologized to me but the woman at the front desk just smirked when I asked that she transfer my files to a new Dr, happily handing me the paperwork to transfer my files. I don't know what she's doing working there but she's clearly a reflection of the Dr! It's all about $ - not about health or patient relations. read more

Dr. Lundquist is the most caring doctor I know. With every visit I leave happier and more educated on any ailments I have. He sits down and helps you understand what may be happening with your body. His staff is amazing and each one of them have always been nice and caring to me. Being in healthcare myself, I know what a good medical practice looks like. Dr. Lundquist, his PA Jennifer Pence and his staff are amazing and caring people. Thanks to their teamwork, I am getting the care I need as I deal with a serious diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Lundquist and Ms. Pence to care for you and your whole family. * You can see a Provider within a day or two if not sooner * I've had labs results communicated quickly * I'm always greeted with a smile at the front * They are clean & professional * They refer you to specialists right away if need be The only thing I dislike at the office is me having to go on the scale to capture my weight. Lol Overall, an A+ practice in my eyes. read more

I had a great experience here today. Dr. Lundquist was wonderful. Usually, I feel very rushed and stressed to talk to a doctor since they are usually behind. He took his time, gave me some great suggestions about my health and was very thorough, I like that he researches a more holistic side of medicine as well and doesn't just want to solve everything with pharmaceuticals. I have never felt so listened to, I was able to get everything out that i needed to and ask all my questions. What a pleasant surprise! read more

Dr. Lundquist, his PA Jenny, and the entire staff is great! The office staff makes it easy to get an appointment. They're always friendly when I arrive. We have taken our mildly disabled sister to Dr Lundquist for a several years. She now goes on her own and reports that she is consistently treated with patience and respect. Been seeing Dr Lundquist for years and I absolutely love Dr Chaimberlain also. They are very knowledgable and compasionate. I love that they are some of the last few still in private practice. They are so incredibly easy to work with. I come prepared with as much information for them to work with. It is very much a 50/50 relationship. Doctors can only help you as much as you are willing to help yourself. These two do an excellent job of listening and very much caring. Their front staff is EXCELLENT also. I have absolutely no complaints about these professionals. I pay out of pocket just to see Dr Lundquist, he's just that great. read more

Please do not trust Dr. Lundquist and his physician assistant. They are not considerate of their patients needs. I took work off to go get a prescription refill. The PA told me she would send in the prescription to my pharmacy "in an hour". She did not send it as promised and left for the day. Now im here without my refill of the medication i need to take to control seizures. Ive had enough with this office. Im switching to another medical group who can actually follow up and do their job. read more

Good doctor but incompetent as hell front office staff. Been that way for years. NO CLUE WHATSOEVER and mess up insurance things all the time. And these guys are supposed to be the experts in that kind paperwork, right ? What is worse, no only are they ignorant they have an attitude too. read more

Dr. Lundquist and Nurse Practitioner Jenny are fine. However, the front desk staff is rude and un-professional. I witnessed the gal at the front desk walking around in flip flops with paper between her toes from a pedicure. Specifically The gal at the front is very rude, poor attitude and conducts personal conversations in front of patients. Expect to be placed on long holds, hung up on, and not have your phone calls returned. Really unprofessional. I like the doctor and nurse practitioner, but they have forever lost my business because of the rude receptionist. When I told her she was acting inappropriately, she got confrontational. I have taken my business elsewhere, because I don't want my level of care to be compromised by her. When I called and left a message to speak to Dr. Lundquist about it, he told his staff to tell me that he would not return my phone call, and if I wanted to speak with him, I had to make an appointment. I asked if there was email, I was told no. I was told that he is too busy to return phone calls, and if I wanted to speak with him, I have to make an appointment. I am really surprised by this, I have never experienced that before. it also costs $25 to get a copy of your own chart... :/ . Seems like he just wants to be able to bill, i don't know. I'm not a patient here anymore because of this. See review posted by Joanne G., who had issues with receptionist also. read more

I've been going to see Dr Jenny for a few years now and after the service I experienced yesterday I'll never come back. First, the office never had an appointment on their records when I came in even though I had made one 7 hours before that. Second, the nurse that took my vitals started to treat me like an anxiety patient when my blood pressure read too high. I told him that the automatic blood pressure reader makes me nervous but then wanted to record down that I was having heart palpitations. I'm sorry that I get a little nervous around male doctors, that's why I specifically see Dr Jenny. THEN the final straw was the way Jenny reacted. While I was waiting in the patient room, I can hear her screaming at the top of her lungs that "Holly better be here for her Pap smear or else I'm not giving her her birth control." No one at the office told me I had to get this procedure done, then she scolded me that my pharmacist should have told me 6 months ago. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I even asked the pharmacist at CVS if they were suppose to tell me that and the pharmacist said they never do that. Jenny lectured me on several minutes on the importance of the procedure like I was a child. She seriously needs a lesson in patient care and service. I'm shocked and appalled that a doctor would ever treat a patient this way. She even swore up and down that she told me months ago when I came in for a sore throat, which is funny because I came to her 5 months ago with stomach pains and I haven't had a sore throat in years, hello I don't even have tonsils. She started to blame the office girls that they were suppose to call me before I came in, which is seriously unacceptable. Don't blame the disorganization of your office staff on your poor communication skills. Making a phone call to your patients only takes 2 minutes. I would advise everyone to find a different doctor just like I did. Hopefully Miss Jenny will think twice before she starts screaming her patients problems through the hallways again. read more

This place is rude and unprofessional. Everytime I go there, I always see the staffs eating in the office, and the office manager laughing out loud talking about other patient complaint. Didn't she know that's against the HIPPA rule. It's rude to talk behind other people's back. These Spanish ladies thinks I don't understand Spanish, when they're sitting around slander other people in Spanish. It's sad that the doctor doesn't know this. Lois laughed so loud I can hear her in the back room.In the back office these medical assistant doesn't wear there name tag some time, cause they don't want to be identified. read more

Great doctor and Great staff!! I would recommend this office to anyone! The staff has always been very helpful and professional in my eyes! However I have witnessed staff being abused by patient when trying to enforce Doctors policies! Shame on you Kay H.!! read more

Love my doctor does a great job . Gives me what I need when I'm sick.

I give them 2 stars on for each Doctor and 0 for the staff. I'm a cash patient and every excuse his staff gave me they blamed my insurance. I always let them talk first to see what lies they tell me for not doing their Job. I stopped going to the office because of his staff I tried to complain to Dr. Lunquist be they deflect the massages. I did a credit check and found out that they put that I didn't pay me bill of 75 dollars which is not true because once again I have no insurance. When I called they said it was because my insurance didn't pay for my visit. Once again I have no Insurance to make a long story short one of his staff took the 75 dollars I paid and put that down that my insurance didn't pay. I stop seeing Dr. Lunquist for about a year now but been calling every week so they can fix my credit report and they never give him the message and I ask for a letter from them so I can take care of it myself and one year latter still no letter. This week I'm going to make an appointment so I can just speak to the Doctor. I'm so frustrated that his staff doesn't care. It's because of his staff that the way I was treated I started the saying for Dr. Payne's office which is putting the care back in Healthcare. People love to be taking care of and treated with respect. I am going to spend 100 dollars to visit him as a patient so I can speak to him about his staff. I'm going to bring in my phone report to show him how many times I call them to solve my problem. Some Doctors wont believe their patients and won't do anything I know because I been in the health field for over 15 years now so I know what happens when you have a nice doctor like Dr. Lunquist and no manager. What happens 99 percent of the time is the staff take advantage because it in their nature to not work. When you break up a click like the one at his office then people start to work. Those girls have power over the Doctor and they act like a union piss off one and they all react and that's wrong. I wish I can create a law against people like that that just don't care and I don't want to file a complaint against the doctor to the medical board. Whish me luck this week I hope to make thing better for all his patients including myself. I hope he opens his eyes and really takes back control over his office because I really like the Doctor and I would love to come back to seeing him but I have a Job and I can't spend time managing his staff all day to get my things done. I wasted hours and hours on his staff to take care of me and I just couldn't take it anymore and I hope that it really changes. My new Doctor is everything I want in an office the staff is great but they are too far and hard to get in because his staff is so good plus the doctor. It's amazing how a great staff makes a difference this new doctor takes no insurance only cash and he is always pack with patients people rather pay and get reimburse from their insurance then waste their time with staff that don't work. Well wish me luck this week to see him and I hope I can open his eyes. read more

Dr.Lundquist is GREAT!! AS for the staff they're AWESOME!!! The staff in my opinion is very thorough and not RUDE at all! This is a very busy office because of the fact that he is a great doctor. I would agree with many here. The Dr seemed ok but the staff or the way the office runs is absolutely horrible. It is almost impossible to talk to anyone but the front desk for appoinments. The wait times on the phone are rediculous. If you call there they tell you to leave a message and they will get back to you within 48 hrs. Just really poor sevice, plain and simple. read more

Tough to get appointment with Dr. Lundquist so I've seen the PA "Jenny" the few times I've been there. This is a mistake. She is inexperienced and she is very unclear and confusing. She will prescribe different medications and different dosages for the same condition every time you see her. Bad advise. And she is always trying to sell you on more unnecessary medications to take. Not to mention she is just a bit inconsiderate and out of tune with it all. I am not going to visit her again and I will just skip this office altogether. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Dr. Lundquist was on vacation. I needed to get some medication refills so I had an appointment with the physician's assistant. All my prescriptions were on the computer screen in my file. I left the office with my written prescriptions and got them filled. I got home and opened the bag the medications were put in by the pharmacy one of the prescriptions was written incorrectly. I called Dr. Lundquist's office and left a message explaining the error just a couple hours after my appointment to get the correct medication called in. It is now Friday morning, I'm out of this medication and I've heard nothing from Dr. Lundquist's staff. So now I will have to call the doctor's again and hopefully get the right medication, that's clearly in my file, before the weekend. I guess it's too much to expect the physician's assistant to write my prescription from my file for a medication Dr. Lundquist's has written for me for a long time. I have been a patient of Dr Lundquist for more at least 20 tears. I'll never agree to see the physician's assistant and instead make an appointment with Dr. Lundquist weeks in advance. Staff communication has been extremely poor! read more

I can't say enough good things about this office. First, the staff is AMAZING!!! Debrah in the front is absolutely the BEST and Jennifer the PA is a GEM!!! I have been coming here for years and not a day has past where Debrah didn't have a big smile and happy to see me and Jennifer with a new joke for me or a funny youtube vid i should see lol. Second, if traffic is a little bit bad or plans change they are flexible within reason, but always makes sure to find a time and date that works best for me with whats available. The good part about a small office is that they are always busy but the wait is never longer than a few mins and the comfy seats help pass the time. When I started going I lived just around the corner from the office so it made my monthly required visit very easy. And now, I have lived in Costa Mesa for 2 years and still drive to Brea once a month because I will N E V E R give up my amazing doctor's office!!! Never!!! (*shaking fist in the air*) :) :D read more
