I am writing to express some concerns regarding the ongoing care and management of my mother, who…read morehas been a patient at Dr. Lee practice for several years. While we appreciate the proximity of your office, I am increasingly concerned about the frequency of her required visits. My mother is 86 years old and, while she is generally in good condition, she experiences persistent left hip and abdominal pain that began five years ago after a minor stroke. We have been bringing her to Dr Lee's office almost every month--and recently at least almost twice a month--for this same pain, but unfortunately, nothing has worked so far. Additionally, she undergoes blood tests and urine tests very frequently around every 2 months, most recently three weeks ago, and it seems these tests are conducted less than every eight weeks. As her caregiver, I am concerned about the physical toll that this frequent testing and traveling takes on her. Most recently, I called Dr. Lee's office to request a refill for her cough medicine which we got prescribed from Dr Lee, His staff informed me that we need to schedule yet another in-person visit. Given that we have already visited 3 weeks ago, I would like to better understand the medical necessity behind requiring an in-person appointment for a routine medication refill, as well as the need for such frequent diagnostic testing. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss a more streamlined care plan for my mother that minimizes unnecessary travel while still managing her health effectively.

I caught a severe cold and urgently searched for a nearby clinic to call. The receptionist was very…read morepushy and overly aggressive. Given the current situation, she mentioned it could be the flu, so in-person consultations weren't possible, and only telemedicine was available. I understood and agreed with that, but she didn't confirm the consultation time and instead hurriedly demanded my date of birth. After checking, she sighed and asked if it was my first visit, showing frustration as if I were the one who didn't understand. I'm usually easy-going, but to be blunt, I can be a bit lazy, so I generally don't leave reviews. However, if the clinic is going to continue operating, the receptionist, Hannah, really needs to be replaced. I've never been treated this rudely in my life. I reached out to this clinic for treatment, but I ended up leaving with more issues.

In the very beginning when he first started and was a brand new doctor, he was awesome. Now he's a total jerk and he has his uneducated office staff and PA running the business. just a few of our most prominent issues: 1. I was extorted by the front office, that he would not see me unless I paid a missed appointment, which I did not schedule. 2. The office refused to treat me, for a raging bladder infection that they tested me for, even though I'm a regular annual patient. I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Don't say you weren't warned. ....*add the fact that he stands by his uneducated and extremely unprofessional staff, says even more. Do better Dr Kurtz. We ended up going to Dr Annette Bernhut in Orange and she is AWESOME. She cares about you as a person, vs you being the enemy

The doctor I saw didn't bother to investigate my own case - he simply looked at other doctor's notes and said "I agree with them." Without listening to me. What was the point of waiting 3.5 months to not be able to speak to a doctor for a real 2nd opinion? Pointless. Providence has really taken a toll on the once great offerings of St Jude's health care.

A medical emergency is defined as "A medical emergency is a health condition or situation that…read moreneeds immediate medical attention." Immediate is defined as "occurring, acting, or accomplished without loss or interval of time." My wife's visit to the emergency room makes no sense to me. Her primary care physician's nurse told her to make an appointment with a doctor (with first available appointment in 4 days), or go to the ER. We chose the ER, but, not before sending me to the gym to exercise, so that she could fix her hair. I understand the ER has more equipment than doctor's office, and even urgent care. It seemed wrong to go to the ER when it was not an emergency. St. Jude ER was vastly different from the ER in Canada that we just visited, where it was a real emergency. We showed up at 5PM and registered. The triage nurse saw us almost immediately. We saw the doctor within an hour. The doctor followed up on the care that my wife received in Canada and ordered a CT scan and some bloodwork. Everyone that we interacted with was nice and professional. They all knew what their job was. I'll take this over universal healthcare in Canada any day where it took 6 hours just to be triaged! Even though we spent four hours at the ER, the time went by quickly because the the process here at St. Jude is just so much better. It was a good experience. I don't want or need to experience them any more. Hopefully, I will never come back.

Beyond slow because they said not enough doctors and too many patients. It honestly wasn't even that busy. They're just not staffing enough doctors or doctors are quitting/not coming in on weekends I never actually saw a dr the whole time, only the PA. So the $500 copay on top of other bills is a waste. They also gave me more unnecessary tests to charge more. Be cautious of this Saw a roach running around in the waiting room and the maintenance guy laughed and squished it and threw it in the trash far away. He didn't want to get it. This hospital is filthy. Dirty by beyond. How do you expect to help sick patients with a dirty hospital. Floors black, vents full of dust and allergies. I'm always seen in the basement floor. Even if they're not busy they stick you down there put a curtain and ignore you until they see everyone else first on the upper levels. Nurses are chatting about Starbucks and who knows what instead of doing their jobs. I've seen urine samples left, people's paperwork on the floor, overall a horrible experience They don't do thorough tests to see what's causing your issue. Only to treat you from an emergency (to not die) then they send you home and say follow up with your dr. Good luck Ridiculous. And they raised healthcare this year by 25% higher copays and worse treatment. At this rate it's better to look into moving states where they actually care about you or going to another hospital
