Additionally, we have a toddler and his team did an excellent job working to accomodate nap schedules, playgroups, and cleaning up diligently to ensure our little one's safety in our home during construction. Several months after the remodel, when I had one or two minor issues (so small that I can no longer even recall what it was), Rick came out personally to fix them and ensure that everything was still meeting his standard of excellence. One of my dogs recently chewed one of the cabinet facings that housed the built in trash can, and Rick- who paid careful attention to my love for my baking and cookbook collection- also helped me to come up with a cookbook cabinet solution that will be built to put in its place (and will be far less enticing to our hungry pups!). We plan to do a gut remodel of our master bathroom in the near future, and we will use Austin Kitchen and Bath for that as well without hesitation. I was desperate to get the repairs started on my house after we had a pipe burst in the kitchen in February. I contacted multiple contractors on Yelp after being flat out refused by the big name water damage companies. He responded quickly and promised to get the repairs done by the time my son got home from college in May. Guess what? He delivered! I can't say enough about the professionalism and courtesy of Carlos and his crew. A special shout out to Laro. He has extraordinary plumbing and electrical skills. Carlos and the team worked with us on every step of the way to get the rebuild as we wanted it. He dealt with insurance and helped us with the claim, also his estimates were accurate without unexpected surprises. When speaking with Carlos, you get a sense of honesty and no nonsense that is not easy to find. Overall, a great experience and will definitely hire Restoration Masters again for other projects.

Aidan, replied that Sunday night and the next day he came by to take a look had an estimate to us within 24 hours. Upon accepting the estimate he was here the next day working on the door. His timeliness was greatly appreciated. His attention to detail and high skill level is obvious in his work. I was very impressed ! We hired AMG Decks and Arbors to replace a poorly constructed two level deck built by another…read morecompany. That was the smartest choice I have made when hiring anyone. His attention to detail and knowledge of deck building is superior. All the joints are tight, the screws (no nails) evenly spaced and everything is plumb and level. These may seem like little details but it all adds to a beautiful finished product. As a home inspector I see many decks with undersized posts, poor support and inferior products which are used to saving on material costs. Aidan's construction techniques are rock solid which is important since the upper level is 17 feet high. I am pretty sure this deck will outlast me. Aidan also recommended some features I had not considered such as a rain catchment system so we can now sit on the lower deck during and enjoy the rain. He also installed a stainless steel cable rail which allows an unobstructed view of the back yard and green belt. You may be able to find a cheaper deck builder who will slap up some boards onto the back of your house but I pretty sure you will not find who builds a better deck.

WOW! Where do I start with these awesome people? We recently took a leap and bought our first…read morehouse... in a new city... and were not able to be present during most of the renovations. Needless to say, we were nervous as heck! However, Sal Sanchez and his team made our dreams become a reality and made it a breeze. Our new house was built in 2005, so it certainly had that weird "closed-off" style with very separated rooms. Of course we wanted something with a big, open living/dining/kitchen space with several updates. We had two walls taken down, an island built in, countertops changed, and all of the floors taken up and replaced with stained concrete... you know, just a couple of things! Oh, AND we had about 3-4 weeks from closing to vacate our rental back in Dallas. From the very beginning, Sal totally understood what we wanted and needed, even down to the details that we didn't know we wanted (like a push button garbage disposal). When the process finally began, he made sure to keep us up to date on all of the important stuff. If something were to stray from plan, like the sink we really wanted not fitting in the cabinets we had, Sal made sure to come up with solid solutions before bringing us the issue. Capital City Tradesmen really made our dream open space kitchen a reality! (And in a timely manner!) Sal gave us price and time quotes that were still both spot on in the end, even with several changes and a few hold ups. Having a few friends with home renovation horror stories, we feel like we seriously hit the jackpot with these guys. Not only are they professional and create amazing spaces, but they all seem to have an eye for detail in whatever their expertise may be. On top of all this, our AC went out for two weeks! Sal quickly came out to take a look at our unit to see if it was something he could tackle (it ended up being a whole unit replacement situation). He was also kind enough to immediately offer up his personal Swamp Fan from his home to get us through that heat. It's all in the details, and we have certainly felt taken care of when things needed to be done. We had such a great experience with these folks, they are back this week to do our master bath! Dustin and his crew at Marks Builders renovated my house last year. In short, they did a fantastic…read morejob, were honest, upfront, left things clean, and were there from start to finish without any notable delays. I have recommended Marks Builders to many of my family and friends, and they've all had great things to say too.  Read on if you want the whole story! I had a leak in a wall between two bathrooms, above the kitchen.  Just to set the scene, my wife was pregnant and we had a baby due 3 weeks after the start of the construction.  My kitchen had a dropped ceiling and was original to the 1970s house.  Dustin worked with State Farm (my insurance carrier) to bring the adjuster's repair estimate up to a par. He and his team worked with us to order cabinets early (we were getting custom cabinets so they had a long lead time), then they gutted the kitchen and bathroom, raising the ceiling to 8' (reworking the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical lines in the process).  They pulled up all of the tile in the downstairs while we were out of the house (and in the hospital having the baby).  We asked for a few days at home without construction when we came home, to which they agreed. They worked hard to make sure that the house was ready for cabinets when they would be delivered. The cabinets were delivered without issue and installed the same week, with the trim taking longer than any other single step because they wanted it to look just right - and it paid off! The finishing touches make all the difference! The granite crew came in and did their thing. Like all of Dustin's sub-contractors, they were on time, professional, and courteous. They did their work well, quickly, and cleanly. We opted for granite counters and granite backsplashes, with different edge finishes in different places, corners, etc. to work around. They did it all well. Our kitchen looks fantastic, even a year and a half later. Through the whole 2-month process, Dustin's crew was on-site 4-6 days/week, except when we asked for the break. We made a lot of changes midway through, and Dustin didn't nickel and dime on the little things (moving an outlet, changing from a 2 gang to a 4 gang plug, etc). He was happy to work with my attention to detail (which can frustrate most people I know) and he did it with a smile - his attention to detail was similar. His crew was always fun to have around, and I never once worried about them being in the home, whether I was there or not. They worked hard to make sure we felt safe with them in the house at the start of Covid. All said, I strongly recommend Marks Builders. They're honest, smart, hard-working, and fun people who care about the work they produce and their customers' experience.
