Breakfast Review:
Its really close to the clock in Hockley. I went there on the off-chance to try out their breakfasts. It is a cafe with a sandwich shop at the front.
When I went in, I thought it was quite dark at the back of the cafe, however there is a breakfast type of bar at the front, allowing you to look out of the window. The problem here is that when I sat on two bar stools, they both sank, making me feel like I was a small child at an adults table. Rather than risk the indignity of sinking on a third bar stool, I decided to sit at one of the tables in the darker area back of the establishment.
I ordered the Full English breakfast and was presented with a cheap looking greasy spoon type breakfast. Its not a greasy spoon cafe, but the breakfast made me think that perhaps it was a posh one?
2 sausage, 2 bacon, a fried egg, (hard), 2 toast, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and beans. Its a big breakfast, costing about £6.00.
There is better to be had in Birmingham for the same price point. Pay a bit more and you can get seriously better. read more
