Right inside the Lord Leycester Hospital Historic House at the end of the Warwick High Street is a fab tearoom-full of history from 1571 this genuine Elizabethan tearoom is a great find. Its free entry -you have to walk past the ticket office in the front and it takes you inside the historic complex and you can even sit partially outside overlooking a lovely courtyard. The food is also good. I particlularly like the homemade scones and cakes- try the coffee and walnut. There is not a large range of main meals but they are tasty and homemade and quality is good. Some of the portions are a bit on the large size. For a tearoom they also do a wicked cup of cappuccino!
