This is a neighborhood place just like back east , nestled in a neighborhood on the corner hidden from the strip mall garbage. Upon entry it's a time warp for us who grew up in a time that was better. This is a good Olde Fashion deli that sells great food with amazing service. Franks is a family place. Back to the real topic... Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! The meatballs are still hot, the sauce is holding place & the bread is still bread, not some soggy remnant of dough! Thank you for the pride, quality & tasty sandwich.

I found this place by accident today and i cant say enough good things about it. Little mom and pop cafe nestled within a business complex off of 35th avenue North of Thomas. I walk in, the place is incredibly CLEAN! No frills place, it is exactly as the name states Lunch Time Cafe! Several tables ( 2 tops and 4 tops), menu staring at you when you walk in. Two people behind the counter appear to be married to me and both are warm and inviting, extremely cordial but not over the top. They answered my questions about the tuna and egg salad and I ended up purchasing one of each. Both are made fresh several times through the day which was a huge bonus, instead of hearing made fresh daily ( which part of the day is made fresh?) this place makes what they need when they need it and you can tell it when you take the first bite. I wish my office was closer I would be here all the time. I can promise this, when I am over at our warehouse, Lunch Time Cafe will always be my next stop. read more

The Cecilia special is the best breakfast you can buy in this neighborhood for probably about 10 square miles. It rivals huevos rancheros from a full diner (like Harlows in Tempe) but it's also unique - a dish all it's own. Their breakfast burrito is also superior to all the other local restaurants in this class in the area (Burger Shoppe, Obregon, etc). Their lunch menu is diverse and tasty. I'll give them a second star for knowing how to cook an egg, but next time I feel like a good breakfast on this side of town, I'll just go to Denny's. Denny's is much better than Kay's.
