This place had great quick food and is open all hours for a drink. We found that in Cinque Terre that it was hard to find places that were open during odd times between lunch and dinner. It's common for most of the restaurants to close for a siesta. Lunch box was perfect right after a long day of travel. We ordered a few beers, pesto, and the cantaloupe with prosciutto. I would recommend both the dishes. I mean it's Italy! Pasta and a prosciutto dish. How could you go wrong? Everything came out fairly quickly and it was freshly made. We had no complaints and stayed on the small outdoor seating area to watch people pass by on the Main Street of Vernazza for quite a while.

Our favorite little cafe/eatery in all of the Cinque Terre. We literally came here three times (would have been four, but hubs ran down here when it was about to close, and they didn't have any food left LOL). Best cappuccino, best panini, etc. Of course, we came here during the whole COVID situation and during off season, so a LOT of the surrounding places were closed...but we were so happy that this place was open for most of the days that we were there. I gotta say, I am still craving that Lunch Box panini. We got it just in case we got hungry later, and my husband ended up refrigerating it because I fell asleep. After I woke up from my nap, I ate it and it was still SO DANG GOOD. Wish I had gotten a chance to eat one while it was still hot.

Very surprised people are giving this a full five star. Below average cafe with pretty poor service. Not disappointed, it's just not a five star or even four star cafe. Portions were small for the prices as well. Juice was alright but I'd suggest going somewhere else for food and fruit drinks.

Tucked away slightly off the main road in Vernazza- it's hard to miss this gem. The cannoli with spinach and risotto is to die for; the ingredients are fresh, light, and so tasty- I finished it wayyy too fast. The lunch box sandwich was just as good; it probably would've been better with some greens in it. The peach smoothie with yogurt tasted refreshing after a long, hot, and humid day. The place is small- with maybe 6 table seating outside and more inside, (but who wants to sit outside?) the service was quick and friendly. This is a good spot to take away sandwiches for the hikes through the village.

Loved it! We dropped in on accident while exploring 5 Terre and wanted a snack. While we were looking at the menu, we were helped by one of the folks tending the place and they were all smiles. We ended up having some penne and an eggplant dish. We sat outside to eat and when it came, we were delighted that the food was better than in some higher end restaurants we have tried during the trip. I also ended up getting an iced coffee and it was great as well. My wife really wanted to come back to Vernazza again for a full meal, but unfortunately, our schedule didn't really allow. So, for the food quality, service and location - it gets great marks from me. Thanks.

I'm so glad for senza glutine!

I'm so glad for senza glutine! Good smoothies and nice people. The sandwiches are amazing. Seating inside and outside. Loved it!

Amazing customer service making us girls feel like locals in the small town. Lots of choices for breakfast with amazing coffee, eggs, fresh squeezed juices from local fruit, quiche, and lots more. Don't hesitate!

What a perfect gem! Stumbled across the Lunch Box while rushing out of a midday "tempesta" and couldn't be happier with the results. Cozy little cafe where you can get picnic materials - including mixed salads, antipasti, and panini. They also have a selection of popular Italian and local craft beers, and fresh juices. Service in Italian and in English. Guys here were super friendly and fun, totally made it a 5 star experience. They were also extremely accommodating of the small wave of the bewildered tourists that came rushing in during the rain storm. Approximately 8 to 10 seats inside and 2-4 on the small patio. Added bonus is they have a bathroom and Wi-Fi, but of course for patrons only!

We went here for brunch after arriving to Vernazza in the early morning after a long train ride. It was recommended to us by friends who had traveled to Cinque Terre before, who said that it was an affordable place with high quality sandwiches and juices. The people I went with each ordered a different type of juice/ drink and a different sandwich so we could all sample each others. I was blown away at how good everything was! The foccacia bread was freshly baked and crispy, the meats were tender and non-dry, and the drinks were the perfect way to cool down on a hot day. For the bargain price the meal came out to be, it is definitely a place I recommend for those traveling to Cinque Terre who want a quick, affordable bite!

This juice was 4€. For perspective, it's next to a 50cl (or almost 17 fl. oz. for you Americans!) water bottle.

20€ minimum for charging a credit card?! Sure, okay. "That's normal for Italy" is what I was told, which is totally not true. Many places have minimums, but it is something like 5€. Asked for a toasted panini, but received it untoasted. We did take away, so they must have figured we wouldn't notice until we were far away. Perfectly average food at astronomical prices. 4€ for a sip of juice? No thank you (see pic). But Vernazza is a tourist trap, so it's normal for the area.

A birra a la spina (on tap) and a plate of Tagliatelle al Pesto is all I needed for an early dinner after a 9 hour flight and 3 trains to get here. Scrumptious. Small place with just a few tables and a very friendly owner.

Note, from town ground level, it is a climb - 225 steps to the restaurant. The food was great, we had the spaghetti alla mari and lasagna al ragu, plus a limoncello and a local sweet wine, Sciacchetrà, which reminded us of a port but less sweet. The service was fantastic - our waitress was friendly and checked in with us occasionally which was perfect. We didn't have reservations but they kindly sat us at a table with an amazing view.

I've heard about "earning your meal" by doing a workout but this was a bit extreme. First, just trying to find the bottom of the stairway was a task as every map app we used brought us to a dead end including literally a break in a wall where the tide was rolling in. So we used the Force. The Force worked. At least right up to the point where we found ourselves behind the restaurant supplier who, and I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP, is using a motorized push cart with TANK tracks to bring produce, meat, drinks etc, from the bottom to the restaurant. The good news was it forced us to slow down to catch our breath. The bad news is it forced us to slow down and catch our breath. Reminded me when I'm at the gym and I'm silently cursing my trainer to hurry the F-up and get this session over with. You come to Cinque Terre and you definitely want to combine some great food with some great views. Ristorante La Torre hits both of those at a price. That price was a "I'm lost" and "I'm going to die on this path" hike up winding stairs wondering if the restaurant is ever going to appear. But its worth it. The view of Vernazza and the neighboring towns and of course the glistening Ligurian Sea are just breathtaking. There is inside dining but thankfully the weather permitted us to sit on their multilevel patio. We did opt for some shade because by the time we got up there it was a little bit of sun and my buttery body was melting. I really could have used some wine but I was dehydrated enough so skip. Service was surprisingly attentive, perhaps a nod to understanding the American tourist. Is this a touristy place? For the quality of service and food I want to say no. It has been my experience that a tourist trap sacrifices one or both. Yes I was sweaty and wondering how much will a hospital stay in Italy cost me but this was a great visit. Food: sadly, no gnocchi (which is what I zeroed in on first) related dishes that day. Maybe the ingredients were stuck in the bottom of the hill. I'd normally dock off some love but given I literally witnessed the effort to get supplies I'm not going to complain for a shortage of a dish. Fritto misto : great lightly fried batter on sardines, calamari, shrimp. Spaghetti alla Mari (seafood spaghetti): perfectly cooked pasta with generous amount of shrimp, langostino, calamari in a simple olive oil and garlic sauce. Tagliolino all' Aragostella (taglino with lobster): again perfect al dente pasta in a pomodoro sauce Pasta (forget which style substituted for said absent gnocchi) in pesto. Simple and comforting. All the food was super fresh and tasty Oh and downhill was easy.

We came in not knowing what to expect--whether it would feel overly touristy or genuinely authentic--but it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, especially traveling with our young daughter. The class itself was both fun and informative. The owner took the time to explain the history and importance of each fresh ingredient, which made the experience feel meaningful rather than just a cooking demo. What really set this apart was the atmosphere. It was interactive, relaxed, and genuinely joyful--we even found ourselves dancing with our daughter by the end. Enjoying freshly made pesto and burrata while overlooking one of the most stunning views in Cinque Terre made it unforgettable. A special thank you to Michael, who went above and beyond--answering all our questions and sharing great local recommendations, especially for swimming spots. If you're visiting Manarola, this is an absolute must-do experience.

We visited about two months ago and I'm just getting around to writing the review…read more Nessun Dorma is one of those places that hits you the second you walk in. The view alone is insane -- straight-up postcard-level Manarola cliffs and pastel houses glowing in the sun. And then there's the owner, whose energy could power half of Cinque Terre. He literally won this failing spot in a contest and turned it into a full-on experience. Locals may not love that he's a southerner who made it big, but honestly? He's built something incredible. The pesto class is a highlight. You learn exactly where every ingredient comes from, and you realize how tiny an amount of that super-strong garlic you actually need. And smashing basil by hand in a mortar and pestle? Way better than a blender -- you can taste the difference. After class, you're absolutely not leaving hungry. They load you up with wine and a charcuterie board that's basically a meal. And yes -- at some point, you will dance. It's just that kind of place. And the sign you pass on the way in? "Today is a good day to be happy." At Nessun Dorma, it really is.
