Very friendly service. We loved our aperol and aperitivo. It came out to 16 euro for two aperols and a meat and cheese plate with marinated olives and delicious bread with pesto. This place is a gem.

Excellent owners | Great prices | Good food $ I highly recommend Bar Pan E Vin if you're looking to grab a bite to eat in the morning or if you're looking for a quick snack throughout the day. We ate at this place every morning because we stayed as a guest with the owners, Stefano and Cristiana. They are so friendly and take pride in their hard work with both their B&B and restaurant businesses. It's not hard to find. There are other shops on the same street, which are also great too, but we think this is the best place to grab a something to eat. We really liked the cappuccinos, the cream pastry, and the apricot pastry. If you're a tourist and looking to purchase one of those Cinque Terre wine stoppers, get it at this shop because it's sold for 3 to 4.50 EU instead of 8 to 15 EU at other shops.

The pesto here is so delicious and my partners tuna panini was amazing as well! My wife and I stopped here after a hot hike from Vernazza. We grabbed a nice little table on a beautiful street. Staff was authentic and friendly and the prices were great!

Fantastic little place in Corniglia. No table charge and so friendly to tourists. One of the party had the bruschetta trio with pesto, tomato, mozzarella and cold steamed? Zucchini, mushroom, herbs. Delicious- but a good bit of bread. 2 of us had the vegetarian focaccia sandwich with thick tomato slices, fresh mozzarella and lettuce. The best focaccia I have ever had- tender and seasoned with olive oil and herbs. The last one had the prosciutto focaccia sandwich with tomato and some cheese. Glasses of house red wine was a perfect accompaniment. Good restaurants are hard to find in Cinque Terre (on our experience) and this one is great.

My best meal in Cinque Terre. Still dreaming about it! Best focaccia in Italy and the eggplant was heavenly.

This place is literally an oasis!!…read more When visiting Cinque Terre, you have the option of taking a train across all five of the villages. Each village is about 5 minutes apart, which makes for a fun day village hopping! However, there's one commute that I recommend you skip the train and take a hike ;) This is the hike from Corniglia (3rd village) to Vernazza (4th village). You can start from either village, but the pathway is more scenic from Corniglia to Vernazza. Now, why am I saying all this? I say this because Il Gabbiano is located at the middle point between the hike! The hike itself is not that challenging, but depending on the temperature, you will break a sweat! We went in early September and it was still hot! (80F). There's also a very chill cat that lives by the store - he/she might be the owner, so be sure to give the cat a pet as a sign of respect and gratitude. The store has a variety of different fruit, all freshly squeezed! I got the watermelon juice - it was a bit expensive tho, but I guess when you're the only store on a hike, you could charge whatever you want! It's worth it. They have a beautiful outdoor sitting area on top of the hill. Enjoy your drinks while basking in the views. Bonus: along the hike, you'll run into countless olive trees, lime trees, and even wild fig trees! I grabbed one fig off the tree and it was so sweet!
